Great cameras, especially if you get this 2-camera bundle. I've had wired cameras for several years but never any battery or solar powered ones before. These ring cameras are incredible during their setup, install and daily use. Being able to mount these virtually anywhere with just four screws (included in the box) makes the installation quick and easy. I currently have these watching the front door and front yard. Being a first-time Ring product user, the setup for both cameras took maybe 15 min total including making a Ring account. If you're already a ring user, you know the app has many features and settings that easily adjust and personalize the function of these cameras. They have more features than my traditional wired cameras, without the hassle of setting up emails and network ip addresses. Having these Ring cameras has allowed me to obtain color video at night as well as audio with the recordings. I like how easy it was to adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection and the notification frequency. Sure these don't record 24/7 but I don't expect them to. Having the ability to live-view, day or night, in color and with audio is well worth it alone. A major selling point for these cameras is the battery life. No matter what the manufacturer claims, the battery life will always depend on an individual use scenario. Mine being at the front entrance to the house, they do get a little more foot traffic than usual. I've had them last anywhere from 1 month to 3 months depending on how long I have them recording and how many times the lights come on at night. I can see having a secondary battery or even a solar panel improving the time between battery charges. If the batteries or solar panels ever go on sale, I might pick them up to try out. Regardless, I cannot recommend these enough. With an easy installation process and an App that's easier to use, these cameras truly offer great value and peace of mind. The 2-camera bundle is nice for some savings while giving you a wider area of coverage with two cameras. Can't go wrong with Ring.

    Ring Cams offer excellent security

I've had the Ring doorbell and three battery spotlight cams for a month and they paid for themselves last night when a guy, that the police later told me had a very long history, drove down my driveway, parked by the garage and after a couple minutes got out and started looking around. He saw the driveway cam and immediately turned around and walked in front of his van. I was watching on the live feed so I set off the siren and he quickly left. I am thankful I bought them. There have been a lot of motion alerts that have been caused by wind or animals (especially deer) but I am glad to put up with those for the security and deterrent effect of the cams. The battery charge should probably last about two months so not bad since I bought an extra battery and they are easy to replace. My main complaint is no off switch. You can turn off the alerts but they will still be in your history. The only work around is removing the batteries if you expect a lot motion say if you're having a party. One note: the cams record for about 30 seconds of motion and then stop. However, there is lag time so you need to go to Live View. Using Live View last evening is how I ended up with three minutes of video to show the police officer that came to my house which included not only a good shot of his face but a readable license plate.

The dual camera set gave us a much more secure feeling knowing they’re watching our home always. I have no talent in that arena, but these were simple to quickly install, and have been working very well. The motion activation, bright light, and built in alarm are great, as is the iPhone app.

The camera itself is built pretty solid, the light on it is pretty bright, and the siren is loud. Solar panel works great! With only one battery in the camera i've only seen it drop to 85% overnight and that's with all the settings set to max. For the most part its pretty consistant picture with some stuttering on live view. 2 way works very well also. Downside? The ring system does not support 5G wifi, which frankly blows my mind. With the cameras on the same channel as most of my household devices it can be hard to get quality picture and even establish a connection to the camera. One would think a company like Ring would support 5G on the cameras considering bandwidth these things can use. We live in the country and while the IR sensors work pretty well, half my yard is little to no light so it doesn't go to far in that direction. If you're in a more populated area with outside lights the IR will work better. You can see in the photos I included that in low light it looks really good, but when it gets darker the quality drops if you cannot provide some light for it. While I would recommend this system (love the battery and solar panel combo) to more residential areas, I am likely switching to Nest which has much better night vision reviews.

These Ring cameras make home security a breeze with zero wires, removable battery packs, and a high up, birds eye view of any room. I have used them inside and outside even and they have stood the test against the hottest summer days and bitter cold, and have operated just fine. Once again, also connecting through the app on the phone like a charm.

Working great. I can now see when my dog is where he's not supposed to be. I can see if someone is in my yard that's not supposed to be. Definitely recommend getting the solar panels not easy to get up and change the battery all the time.

Outstanding, the picture is amazing. And I'm amazed on the ability to see the camera view at night. It is very dark at these two locations, and I can still view. The camera's lights are not on. When it senses motion, the lights come on very bright and gives me a picture-perfect view.

Best Buy installed my 2 spotlight cameras about 4 weeks ago and they have worked well from the first hour onward. The videos are sharp and in HD, the lights are bright enough to see objects at night, and I can hear what is going on in the active areas of each camera. I have a few minor grips dealing with the hourly snapshots that I can't seem to find, and delayed notification bells. Delays of audio notifications range from 3-15 seconds. Three second delays are acceptable, but 15 second delays results in me missing the opportunity to communicate with "visitors." I still need to work that out.

Decided to make the move to go to the Ring system for my outdoor security and I couldn't be happier. The Ring spotlight camera was the final piece. Easy to install with a great picture day and night. I don't like wires, so I went with the wireless option. It comes with 1 battery but has room for 2. I highly recommend purchasing 2 extra batteries so you can install 2 and have the third as a backup. I use the spare to rotate with my other Ring cameras. You will not be disappointed.

Ring Spotlight Cam works great during the day

I own 3 of these specific spotlight ring camera and love it. In day light it works great but at night it isnt bright at all. The night recordings arent very good without light and the light isnt very bright to help the camera out. Unless u have this low to the ground or add other lights around it to help light up an area at night, it isnt that effective. I mounted this by my front porch light so it does the job for my home day and night but again, If you have it mounted high, the light will not work well at all. In my back yard I added sensor solar lights that light up the area if anything is near so it supplements this ring camera to help get a better recording at night. The pictures show the camera at night without any light, during the day and at night with my other non ring solar porch light qith sensor. The ring cam caught a possum walking in our back yard. Without the additional light it gets really grainy and hard to see. I have the same driveway cam see day and night pics. Hands down, love the ring apps. Watch videos of the various settings. They also have a ring community where you can share info like "hey someone tried to break into my car" and actually share footage or just messages. U can see when someone reports occurrences in your neighborhood too.

We installed the spotlight camera in the backyard to watch people approaching the back porch and the said gate. It took a while to get it positioned just right to pick up someone entering the side gate. We also have a tree near the porch which was constantly triggering it from the wind or birds. After much adjustment we finally got it dialed in. The battery life in the spotlight cam seems shorter so we bought a second battery. It works good now, but we probably need to get a second one or mount it on a pole to get a proper view of all access points, currently there's a blind spot behind it.

My cam spotlight with the solar panel is awesome, I really enjoy the comfortness and the security it provides. Having the solar panel is a plus because it definitely keeps the battery fully charged. Picture is clear and everything it picks up is easy to see. I Enjoy having my cam spotlight and solar panel.
