I waited over a year to write this review so i could give an honest assessment. Well it has been a very pleasant surprise. I was hesitant to get one, didnt think it was necessary, but with more and more porch pirates felt it was needed. Set up is easy and we have the app on all our devices including echo and show with notifications on. Mounting was a slight issue as my old wired doorbell is on brick in a very tight space that was to narrow for this device and it also would not provide needed street angle fir the camera. Easy fix for me I mounted it directly on one of my double doors. Side benefit is i still have my old wired doorbell so when this one is charging i still have a doorbell. I have most of the functions turned on and we get pretty much traffic to this device and i only have to charhe it every 3-4 months. Am considering adding the solar panel but havent decided. I did get the annual plan as after the initial free trial period you will see the benefits it offers. Personally without that i dont really see the need for this type of device. Camera is clear and gives a wide view. What is most important to 5: if i am upstairs i know when someone it at my door, i know who is there, know who shows up at your house when you are away EVEN IF THEY DONT RING THE BELL, have a record for law enforcement should that be necessary. Highly recommend this bell. Ps i got a great combo deal on this was the ring doorbell with echo show so you may want to keep a watch.

I can't say enough good things about this doorbell camera! I was paying $75 a month for another well known security service and their door bell camera did not work for the entire three years of service I was with them. This device has great battery life, connects seamlessly with the app, and rings loud enough to notify me when guest arrive to the door. The added feature of a automatic verbal response is another great benefit of having this camera. Highly recommended and great price!

I love it! I’m glad I got this on sale! I bought two of them, one for me and my parents! Couldn’t be happier. I live in an apartment so I couldn’t install it through wires or walls. I purchase a holder from another company to put it in and I’m so pleased! It doesn’t need constant charging. It’s been a month already and it’s only at 81% as of today. So I’d say it takes away about 1% of charge each day, sometimes half of that depending how much motion it detects and how you have it set up. I have it on moderate. It detects all motion and I record about 30seconds after until motion starts! Great buy! I’ve caught a lot of foolishness on my floor.

Plain and simple, must buy. Durable (dropped it twice, not a scratch), easy to install, wired or wireless, easy 5min setup, high resolution day and night. Long life, rechargeable battery with optional solar power or hard wire, great support. Sounds perfect, right? So why four stars? Well, some of the premium options and benefits require a monitoring subscription. (4 second back recording, remote monitoring, etc.) but, the service is inexpensive and is not necessary to have peace of mind and also have all of the functions needed to monitor your home with ease and efficiency. Also has intercom and panic button. Simply put, this device pays for itself in just the peace of mind it will bring. Worth every penny. A-

Bought it for my new house and very please with the product. Easy to install. The image quality and sound are good. It has been over a month now and the battery is still over 50%, maybe because we don't have a lot of foot traffic in the front. Will subscribe to the ring plus since we have a flood light camera in the backyard too.

Easy to setup and connect to the chime. I didn’t think the battery would last on this but it has surprised me. This gives me peace of mind and I’ve only charged it once since I bought it over the summer. I was able to put my Christmas decorations up and the video is still perfect. Highly recommend this product.

Very easy to install, great picture and worth the price. Setup took 15 minutes at the most and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The rechargable battery last very long.

Love this ring camera. Purchased it due to package theft that my wife and I dealt with in our apartment complex. Haven’t had any issues since, and people are aware of the camera when the enter our hallway. Also, we have a trash valet service that wasn’t picking up our trash. We were able to share proof (because of the ring camera) that nobody came into our hall to collect our trash. This led to us getting better overall service to our apartment. Also, the battery life is AMAZING. We charge it maybe 3 times a year. Highly recommend this camera. Also, during the holiday, the camera has some fun door bell voices. We had Dracula for Halloween. Lastly, the ring community is super helpful as well. We use the doorbell boa to protect the unit from being stolen. Seen in the picture around the door.

looked into getting this for packages and i definitely recommend getting, it’s super convenient and really easy to install and have on your phone too! i use it with this holder i got on amazon where it doesn’t damage your door and it’s been great. no issues, really easy to talk through the camera and charge!

Highly recommend definitely for package watching Motion activities & watching the kids & distance long as sun is up at night time be aware that visibility is lower so please have other lights mounted around the house or property to brighten up dark areas and help deter potential thieves also it’s best to give third party access to trusted family to monitor the outside locations while away be alert that if network goes down you will need a secondary backup storage system which you may find online or in store do your research

I initially was going to purchase the silver and when I noticed the bronze color, I was in awe. Beautiful color and matches my trim very nicely. The video and two-way communication is a wonderful feature. You get 30 days of free recording and storage. I plan to purchase the plan so that I can save activities for 180 days

What an amazingly easy setup. I chose to wire mine, and it took all of about 8 minutes from start to finish. So far being new to the ring community I’m astounded and impressed at how thorough my neighbors are on ring events. This unit is a great first purchase. Some installations may need an angle mount to be purchased separately depending on how you plan on setting it up. The video is good even with sunlight flooding the area of the camera, and the night vision is crisp.

We initially bought this one to add to my mom's back yard but once I got it, I ended up replacing the front door Ring doorbell with the new one and putting the old one at the backdoor. They are both up and running with no issues. It's been a great addition for her and the videos are super clear. I had no issues linking the two Ring cameras along with the Chime. Caught it on sale as well for $59.

I love my ring doorbell! After having a little incident at the house, we went and got this (was a bundle with the outdoor stick camera) and it’s worth it! You do need to subscribe to the protection plan if you want to have access to your videos after 1 month, but for a few bucks a month, I think it’s worth it. The actual set up was really straight forward and was able to install everything with the app in no time. Highly recommend for an affordable security camera to keep an eye on your home!

I wish it didn’t have subscriptions to keep video footage, but this camera is way better than the off brand ones I’ve gotten on Amazon so I’ll tolerate it. Especially since there’s a yearly option, I’m not a fan of monthly payments. I already had an apartment door mount from a previous cameras so this coming by itself was fine for me. Quality of video is AMAZING and the service doesn’t lag at all. It can be a tad annoying getting alerts and updates from surrounding areas instead of just my front door, but I guess that is a pro since issues that are happening in a neighborhood down the street from you, has the potential to migrate to your actual neighborhood. I don’t like that the indoor bell that rings throughout the house is a separate purchase. That’s good to have during times you are sleep and not near your phone. I won’t take a star for that because the quality footage is so good, and because my rewards paid the majority of this camera. Great purchase in my opinion.
