Customers frequently mention the Burst Pro's lightweight design and vibrant RGB lighting as significant advantages. Many appreciate its responsiveness, ease of use, and excellent price-to-performance ratio. However, some users point to software navigation challenges and less-than-ideal side button placement as potential drawbacks. I got this mouse after I had two g502 hero's get double clicking issues and it was super frustrating, seems like every mechanical switch mice I get end up having double clicking issues and I did some research on optical switches and it seemed like they are more durable and dont get double clicking issues and it hasn't yet so it seems like a very good product so far. It's also very light and the cord almost disappears. Some people dont like how the switches sound or feel but for me they're 10/10 very tactile unlike mech switches, might take some getting used to tho.

The closest your cable will come to Paracord, without having to make a custom one or pay for a custom one. Also, you won't have to open it and void the warranty, I'm still gonna paracord it though. The closest your mouse feet will come to feeling like non stock feet, saves you $15 and the trouble of buying aftermarket skates to glide better, Large sides for your big hands and fingers RGB goes through the shell on the white one in the dark, almost giving you clear Nintendo 64 vibes. Light, feels nice. The left and right mouse buttons are slippery as two fish flappin on the hood of my yacht, almost as if you're clicking on teflon/mouse feet. You can get some grips for this, but it will bring up the weight. Or you know, you don't have to, because realistically, your mouse isn't gonna slip out of your hands, like a bar of soap at a prison shower. Makes loud click sounds, but if you're wearing headsets like a pro, it doesn't matter. Side buttons press easily mouse wheel is stiff. DPI presses easily, but if you're playing higher than 1 dpi, you're not as pro as you think.

Packed with features, the ROCCAT Burst Pro Optical Owl-Eye Gaming Mouse is loaded to enhance everything about what mouse can be. I plugged in the ROCCAT Burst Pro Optical Owl-Eye Gaming Mouse into a USB port and then downloaded the software “Swarm” from the ROCCAT site. The next step was to reboot my computer and run the software. Once I finished rebooting and ran the software, I could customize just about anything. Assigning buttons, how colors are displayed and precise the movements make the mouse something to call your own. The “Swarm” software is a very important feature as it has some real “meat” to it. It really is a key innovation for the ROCCAT Optical gaming mouse. Weighing in at only “68 grams”, this is the most significant lightweight mouse I have ever used. It is incredibly engineered with outstanding touch and feel with its solid honeycomb exterior. The honeycomb pattern is molded into the mouse frame on the sides to create a great grip that without the use of heavier materials. Additionally the honeycomb design is pronounced through the entire mouse. This provides added strength with lightweight durability. Once you pick this mouse up, you will be instantly surprised as I was, as it is very lightweight. The popular ROCCAT Burst Pro Optical Owl-Eye Gaming Mouse features, the “Titan Optical Switch” and has improved using buttons up to “100 million clicks!” I can tell you the buttons on the mouse have a solid and snappy feel, which makes it easier to use. The buttons respond quickly but are not too sensitive or heavy when pressed. The “Titan Optical Switch” is the probably one of my favorite features because it takes stress off of clicking too hard or clicking accidentally. It is “just right” for making the right gaming moves with this mouse. The ROCCAT Burst Pro has an “Optical Owl-Eye Sensor” for movement. It is capable of fast and precise movements with its DPI of 16,000 (customizable). In the software you can change the speed or simply press the DPI button on top of the mouse. Gamers need this kind of direct, accurate movement when it comes to winning or losing. It feels good to have the mouse go where you want with only a nudge from your hand. The ROCCAT Burst Pro doesn’t feel forced to move, it actually glides when I use it. It’s “heat treated PTFE” slides, located on the bottom panels are the reason for the smooth and accurate movements. The mouse moves so effortlessly and takes the pressure off your hands and wrists. This helps with movements needed during gaming. Another corresponding feature is the “Phantom Flex Cable”. This unique cord from the mouse is pliable, light and barely there when I have used it. Gamers will have no trouble using it for hours and never experienced hand fatigue. I believe this is the best movement I have experienced with a mouse. Within the see-through honeycomb outer shell of the mouse, a show of “16.8 million” colors highlights the mouse. Its AIMO lighting and movement through the spectrum of colors are a regular fireworks display. You can also alter this option in the “Swarm” software. I have to say, the ROCCAT Burst Pro among other good things, looks great! ROCCAT Burst Pro Optical Owl-Eye Gaming Mouse has eye popping features in an ultra lightweight frame. The “Swarm” software is innovative with options to make the mouse exactly what you need. Although it is classified as gaming mouse, it is great for just normal everyday use. All the features and benefits still apply making the mouse an all round choice for anyone who wants a great experience.

    Great mouse—Software improvement needed

Overview—The Roccat Burst Pro is a nicely put together gaming mouse. You can tell a lot of thought went into designing it. It’s very light, ergonomic, responsive, and fast. The LED lighting through the translucent mouse frame is a nice touch. However, despite all its marketing about the optical switches, there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference in click between the Burst Pro and an ordinary mouse. Unlike the difference in feel between a mechanical keyboard and the Roccat keyboard optical key switches. The heat treated rubber-like base makes movement a breeze, but despite everything, it isn’t unique. I’ve seen this same or very similar material on both Corsair and Razer before. Finally, if more movement/sensitivity is required, a few clicks on the center button will adjust things. If a more specific sensitivity is desired, installing the SWSRM software allows for a specific setting to be recorded for each of the 5 levels. Customizing to one's preferred setting is a breeze. Simply adjust a slider for each of the levels to fit your needs. It’s cable also has a very nice feel to it. It’s a braided USB type-A but it feels soft like a shoelace, not your typical usb cable feel. Makes for managing your cable simpler without adding much resistance to your mouse should you leave a part of the cable hanging off the desk. Now, for the biggest issue hindering this mouse. There would appear to be an issue with the SWARM software. For one, no matter which way you set it up the easy shift key mapping simply doesn’t work. You can map them as secondary functions to each mouse button but the key just doesn’t trigger them. This was the same problem with the Vulkan TKL Pro Roccat released. In my attempts at finding a solution I came across several threads concerning this issue for previous model keyboards so it would appear to be affecting more than just myself. The second, less of an issue and more of an annoyance, if you setup a timeout limit on the lighting of the mouse it doesn’t turn back on when you resume work. This is something that affected the keyboard more than the mouse as 100% of the time the board wouldn’t come back. The mouse, on the other hand, would not come back around 30% of the time. The only solution, unplug/plug peripherals and let them be detected once more. Pros Light Responsive Fast Ergonomic Ease of use Good balance of lighting Cons Software issues Stays dark when it goes to sleep.

Good mouse hindered performance by software

Overall in terms of quality 10/10, performance 10/10 for the mouse hardware, 10/10 for combination of top tier Heat treated virgin grade PTFE skates (faster than hyperglides right out the box), pixart 3389sensor, 68gram weight on a medium to large mouse, excellent ambi shape great for aiming and with slight right hand ergo curves on the sides for a little comfort and the best stock cable in terms of flexibility I've ever used. But the software is hit or miss. Took me a few days to get it working at its peak performance. The sensor had input lag and would sensor skips and shake upon resetting the mouse after a lift. This was all in the software and was a headache to fix. At the end of the day I'm going to return it not worth the headache I'm to worried it might wig out again down the road and it took me about 48-72 hours to get it preforming on par with my razer viper mini and finalmouse ultralight 2. Otherwise this mouse is absolutely top tier in every single way. But on my system would not perform as well in driverless on board mode. Compared to roccat swarm software + swarm service + swarm monitor driven. I'm good on all that, I deleted ONE of the 5 profiles and the mouse bricked for a few days and took my usb port with it. Nothing else would work in it until I fixed the mouse for some reason. Im old and I don't feel like getting my pc old scholl razer synapsed again. Not thank you

SUMMARY ————— This is an excellent Ultra Light gaming mouse with great RGB which can be configured using the ROCCAT Swarm software. What’s in the box ————————— ROCCAT Burst Pro 68g Extreme Mouse Extra set of Mouse Scats Quick Start Guide Pros —— Beautiful Color on the mouse since it is translucent Buttery smooth and fast glide on any surface Ultra Light weight yet well made Nylon wrapped cable which does not tangle Fits perfectly in the palm Big chunky side buttons ROCCAT Swarm software sets DPI and RGB setting Cons —— lack of rubberized side grips REVEW ———— Setup ——— Setup is straight forward, just connect it to the USB port and it will recognize the mouse instantly. Install the ROCCAT Swarm software and you can configure the buttons, DPI setting and the RGB color setting, vertical scroll speed, horizontal scroll speed, pointer speed, double click speed. it will also let you save multiple profiles so that you can switch between them if you have different users using the computer. Build Quality —————— Its made of plastic with the exception of the scroll-wheel which is rubberized. Its well made and can afford many falls. Usage ——— I found the mouse to very ergonomic, Lightweight and fast. The Translucent shell really shows the RGB color which can be configured using the swarms software. The switches have been tested for 100 mil clicks which will really make them durable. The clicking of the mouse is with sheer perfection and speed. It is better than mechanical clicks. The scroll wheel speed can be controlled. The rubberized feel on the mouse makes it really grippy. OVERALL ———— At the price paid, this is a great mouse from a good company. It will last a life time. I love Mice... I play a lot of PC games and have tried many different ones. This Roccat Burst Pro is a great choice and for me at least its my favorite one. What I personally like. It is light. My wife things its cheap and in fact asked me why I use it and like it as she equates the light feel as being made cheaply. I don't see it to be honest, I feel judging by the nice quality of the wire/cable and nice design that yes it is light but not necessarily poor quality. So if your tired of heavy bulky mice you will like it. I love the simplistic way it works, I personally didn't download any apps just took it out of the box pressed the button with big letters DPI on top and picked the perfect speed for what I prefer. It has like 5 or 6 pre designed speeds so it would work for anyone (then again you can upload the app if you want to customize further). The colors are beautiful, very bright. It is very responsive, love its clickiness (not too loud, not too quiet). Weird that I like this more then alot of my other mice to be honest but I do. It is not wireless so if your looking for a wireless option look at other options, but if you want a very reliable great looking, great ergonomic design for a mouse this is a top quality choice. I am loving it.

This is one of the lightest mice I have ever used and you can see why it is so light from it’s own internal lighting. A honeycomb structure with a thin layer of plastic is essentially what this mouse is made of, instead of thicker solid piece like others. It also has a much softer and flexible cord than other fabric coated cords which gives it a lighter feel in moving it. The shape of the Burst Pro is fairly standard but lacks that ergonomic design of some other mice. Compared to the Vulcan Pro keyboard keys, I am actually surprised at how the left and right click on the mouse buttons feels a little harder than my previous mouse. It’s not like it is an extra exertion, just feels harder than that of the keyboard keys with the same Titan optical switches. But, on the opposite end, I find myself accidentally clicking the mouse wheel down as it seems easier to click than my previous mouse. Slightly annoying when I go to scroll up on a page and it gives the universal scroll option instead. Through the ROCCAT Swarm software you get to do all the customization you desire. You can change every speed setting of the mouse from scroll speed and double click speed to a crawling 50 dpi or lightning fast 16,000 dpi. You can remap all 8 buttons and create an Easy Shift [+] option for each button as well. Essentially creating 15 buttons or more if you decide to assign macros to the function or change profiles. You can change the illumination of the two zones with various effects, to include using the AIMO intelligent lighting system that reacts to your interaction and syncs with the keyboard. I found, however, that using the AIMO function with both the mouse and keyboard are resource intensive and don’t function properly if using both on a USB hub. It’s still neat to see the lighting of the mouse work with the keyboard when interacting with either. Overall, it is a really lightweight customizable mouse that goes great with the ROCCAT keyboards. I would prefer a slightly more ergonomic design to relax my hand better, but with the ability to switch DPI you can make it to where you barely have to move to instantly cross the desktop with a click.

    Claw grip dream

Intro - I am a mouse/peripheral enthusiast with a lot of experience testing different mice from different brands. This is my first ROCCAT mouse, and I wanted to give it a try hearing how good it was for claw grip. Shape/weight - I use a claw grip and have 18.5x9 hands. This is easily one of my favorite shapes I've tried it's extremely comfortable and natural. At 68g it's also one of the lightest mice I've tried. 9/10 Sensor - This uses Roccat's 16K Owl-Eye Sensor (PMW 3389) and it performs excellent as a typical high-end gaming sensor. No issues. 9/10 Buttons - This uses optical switches and they are quite heavy, but for me I got used to them and they feel tactile. Still not as good as typical mechanical switches. The side buttons are nice big and tactile. The scroll wheel is nicely defined and has a consistent sound to it. 7.5/10 Feet - The feet are fairly average on this they glide smoothly but on the y-axis they feel scratchy for some reason. 8/10 Cable - This uses a paracord-like cable and it's really good and flexible. It's one of the better stock cables I've tried. You can also just put in a bungee and forget about it. 9/10 Software - Uses ROCCATs Swarm software. Has all the settings you can adjust, and you can also save them directly to the mouse with profiles. The only thing I find is that the whole software looks like it was created over 10 years ago and is in desperate need for a modern revamp. 8/10 QC - The QC is really good on this mouse and so many brands I end up trying often have QC problems, but with ROCCAT and their reputation it seems like you're less likely to run into any issues. I'd recommend this mouse just off the good QC alone. 9/10 Value - With everything you're getting for a mouse that feels like it will work and be reliable for years it's a great pickup especially on sale. 9/10

To start off this is hands down the lightest mouse I've ever used. I honestly thought it was missing it's insides when I first picked it up. Appearance wise the see through honey comb design looks wicked as you can see in the pictures with the led lit through the shell. It's comfortable in your palm and glides easily. The buttons and dial are super responsive without delay or issues. Using the optical eye sensor you can really tell a difference in responsiveness compared to physical buttons. The Roccat Swarm software is awesome. It allows you to set up everything to your liking and save your settings within the mouse itself. The software also allows you to differentiate the colors between the jog dial and the mouse itself. Or you can pair it up with the Roccat keyboard and them be perfectly matched in color. Great mouse for the price would highly recommend to others!
