I purchased this mouse with the hopes that it would give me a mix of features I liked from the other leading wireless mice. This is not the case.
The software is very different from either iteration of Synapse (Razer), iCue (Corsair), and any other software that I looked into. Once you get it figured out, the button mapping isn’t that difficult and the plethora of buttons is quite handy. When it comes to lighting, however, the options are not even subpar. The first check box is “static” but it isn’t. It lets you choose the color, but it flashes. You can only control the speed of it flashing. And that goes for all the lighting options. It goes from slow to fast. There is not an option for solid NON BLINKING.
The charging dock is a nice touch, but switching from wireless to wired mode is much more of a task than any other mice with that option (though I do appreciate the option to lock the cable included). The charging dock does not have editable lighting. Period. It is also quite bright. If you have the options set right in your OS, it will charge the mouse even when it doesn’t have the lights on. Instead, it forces the mouse to blink to indicate charging. The lights go out when it’s fully charged. This feature is always enabled and cannot be edited in any way.
If none of those issues bother you, then you’ll be happy to hear that’s about where the complaints end. The mouse has no perceivable latency, and is quite smooth to use. The texture is very different from any of the other mice I’ve used over the years. It’s a mixture of matte and glossy. All of the matte surfaces get extremely dirty with just skin oils, but I did not notice a difference in control. The clicks are great and the analog is great for games or web browsing.
I got this mouse on sale for under $100, and I returned it for the Corsair Dark Core RGB PRO SE. I was much happier with this experience.

Roccat as a brand has come a long way and gotten much better, especially with their keyboard lineup. Figured I'd try this out when coming from a double clicking G502. I'm right between medium and large size hands and this mouse is perfect, in fact larger hands would be even better suited. The Roccat Swarm software is a little confusing at first but you easily get the hang of it. The real problem is mouse skipping, or lagging out. Wirelessly, the mouse will jump around like it's connection is being interrupted. Even with clear LOS to its base station, I am starting to have issues within the first month. I dont think getting a replacement is even worth it at this point. I wanted to like it, the build quality seems good, but the skipping gets extremely annoying. The liftoff range is pretty much non existent as well.

The analog fins should be on every mouse.

Any game with flying benefits from those fins. But they also have potential for things like spreadsheets.
