Customers enjoy the high-quality build, amazing key feel, and pleasing RGB lighting of the Vulcan 122 keyboard. Many appreciate the ease of customization and positive switch experience. However, some users experienced issues with the software and found the wrist rest to be less than comfortable. A few also noted the keyboard's higher price point.

Gorgeous white keyboard, bright lights, clacky

I already have the Vulcan TKL to use for couch gaming, but wanted something for the desk so I went with the full size version. This keyboard is absolutely gorgeous, with a very bright but matte white finish. The RGB lights have lots of options, and you can customize those a bit and store some options on the keyboard itself. The volume knob works very well with a satisfying cogging effect as you turn it, but unfortunately the knob color doesn't match the keyboard. It's removable so you can repaint the knob, but the nearby buttons are still going to stand out.
This keyboard is clacky but not clicky. What I mean is that when you press the keys, they don't have the audible click of a buckling spring, but they do have sort of a clack when they bottom out. If you used this in an office for fast typing, you would probably drive your cubicle neighbors crazy, because it's something like drumming the tips of your fingernails on a sturdy but hollow plastic surface. The spacebar makes the same sound as the other keys, but a bit more hollow.
You can feel when the key passes the point of actuation, which is nice. It feels less like those buckling springs though and more like the key quietly "gives" under the pressure.
The cord is NOT detachable which is a bit of a minus, but not worth striking a star. I would've liked to be able to use a custom cord length instead of bundling up the leftovers and hiding them. The TKL offers this feature and I can only hope the next version of the full-size will as well.
The keycaps are very shallow to allow the light to shine through, but this also lets cords get snagged under the keys, so keep that in mind if you're using a wired mouse or headphones. It's like giant velcro--if a cord touches it, the keyboard WILL grab it and you'll have to carefully remove it.
Overall, I love this keyboard but not so much I want to marry it. Definitely a keeper though, and well worth the extra cash.

The main attraction that made me want to buy this keyboard, the Roccat Titan switches. They are a lot better than browns by far, with the bump of the switch being present at the very top. The force required to overcome it is similar to a blue, if not slightly more. When you overcome the bump there is no extra push from anything at all to propel the keycap down to bottom out. It is nowhere near a Glorious panda or a Zealio, but for people looking for an upgrade from a brown this switch really works.
I've had this keyboard for quite some time, and I know that others have had the issue where the paint on the keycaps fade away or degrade, but I have not had that issue almost a year into it's use.
If you're a keyboard enthusiast, then you probably won't be messing with this board anyways but just for the record, all, and I mean all the keys have spring ping, like so darn noticeable. Every key has nearly the same spring ping as the spacebar, and of course the spacebar has the most plastic "clack" sound along with the spring ping.
But if you have a headset one while playing games or listening to music you'll be able to ignore it just fine.
Comparing this product to other keyboards on the market, this Roccat keyboard isn't half bad. Mostly because of the Titan switch that is light enough to where anybody should be comfortable and enjoy gaming/typing on it, while having a unique tactile feeling at the very beginning versus the middle that can make a big difference when typing and gaming. Comparing it to anything else like Razer, Logitech or Steelseries which seems to cater more towards analog linear switches now, none of them seem to have a keyswitch that is like the Titan as far as I know and I've bought a lot of keyboards.
And it's white. And it has RGB that works, what else is there to say.

I love this keyboard! It has worked great from day 1. I have not had any issues with the keys flaking it peeling. I am prepared for that. Bought some pudding caps for that occasion. Titan switches are great. I was skeptical about a white keyboard, but it stays clean and is very easy to clean. RGB is bright and AIMO is great. I do wish there was a little more for RGB customization, but that is a Swarm software issue. Still, I love it.

This keyboard stands out and that's what I was looking for. I am placing my gaming/streaming P.C. where it can be seen from the living room. I picked a good and modern looking P.C., so I wanted a good looking keyboard too. The metal top and the half key caps are gorgeous and different. This keyboard looks like a work of art and it's its own conversation piece! Moving beyond the looks, it works wonderfully well. The key tops have a good feel. The clicks are great. Your hands and fingers sit comfortably. You love flashy R.G.B.? It has that too!
A functional piece of art. I'm in love!

Got this during the July black Friday sale. Was half price and it was a steal. Love this keyboard.
The keys look and feel great. Key sounds can be adjusted through developers software. RGB lights can be adjusted also. You cannot program individual key lighting though. I use the keyboard for gaming mostly and im very pleased with its performance.

Very open and easy to clean design. The keys are spaced further apart than keyboards I've used previously so I have fewer typing errors. The volume knob is vastly preferable to any other option for me. The proprietary mechanical key switch is as good as anything Cherry offers from a quality standpoint. Lighting is smooth and bright. Pictures don't really do the design quality of this keyboard justice. I can't find anything I don't like about it. Definitely recommend.

Underwhelmed for the price

I bought this as my daily driver in the office to give my old KBTalking Pro with Cherry MX brown switches a rest after 5+ years.
First impressions out of the box:
I would prefer the USB cable to be removable/replaceable via a mini-USB jack (or better) on the keyboard.
The metal top plate is nice (a bit lighter silver color than it looks in most of the marketing pics), but the plastic trim around it is a bit chintzy, especially the thick strip along the bottom edge of the keyboard.
There are two screws with large black heads above the F1/F4 keys -- I have no clue why these are here (no manual other than a 5-step getting started guide in 16 languages), but they stick out like a sore thumb against the silver plate. Especially when one of them is loose and protruding, as mine was out of the box. Do they even quality control check these? I had no issue tightening the screw down.
The rear feet either flip in or out but are not adjustable to multiple heights.
The wrist pad feels comfortable, but is thin, hard plastic -- given the magnetic attachment to the keyboard, there should be options (leather, gel, etc) since they are easily replaceable if they wear out. The first time I detached the wrist pad, a strip of adhesive plastic trim with tiny magnets came halfway off the wrist pad with the magnets sticking to the keyboard. I was able to push it back into place, but it is inexcusable that the magnets aren't solidly glued into place.
Lighting: the LEDs are bright but can be dimmed (including dimmed to 0) via brightness settings. More light seems to shine out to the rear of the keyboard compared to what you see sitting in front of it. There are two buttons (FX and sound) beside the multimedia knob that let you switch between using the knob to control illumination level or volume level (also programmable to other functions).
Software: Roccat Swarm is huge (200+ MB) and relatively basic. There are a couple of character repeat settings, but it is mostly key/macro assignment and lighting config that you can group into profiles. The installer installed a Windows runtime package first, then I had to reboot and run the installer again to install Swarm. On first run, there was an update immediately available, then had to add on the package for this model keyboard, and then had a firmware update for the keyboard itself. Last step of the firmware update is to unplug the keyboard, so you may want to update before you climb under your desk to plug it into the back of the computer.
The stock lighting animations were a bit too distracting for me, so I went with “fully lit” with a custom blue hue at the lowest brightness. The “fully lit” mode divides the keyboard into six zones where you can set a color for each zone, but is annoying that if you’re setting the entire keyboard to one color you have to configure each of the six zones individually. Also annoying that if you switch away to another lighting mode, it doesn’t remember your custom color setting when you switch back to fully lit, so you have to set all six zones again.
Also, “applying” the lighting changes is sometimes flaky – it took a few tries to get it to apply the first time (seems like the “apply” button didn’t work until I turned on “auto apply” and then turned it off again). I also had issues where I switched to one of the stock animation modes and then tried to go back to “fully lit” with the custom color, and the color only applied to the right two zones while the rest of the keyboard remained the old animation color. I had to apply a fully lit stock “theme” first and then apply a custom color to get the colors to reset.
I haven’t had any issues with the keyboard changing colors or not remembering the last illumination setting upon reboot (Win 10).
The six Ins/Del/Home/End/etc keys above the arrow keys are programmable as macro keys. FN + Scroll appears to activate Game mode, which enables the macro keys. On the plus side, the macros appear to be able to handle complex sequences of keypress (e.g. press/release ALT, then E, then S, then V) that can be easily created with a record function. On the negative side, I haven’t been able to get that macro to work in Excel. I haven’t had time to experiment or dig through the FAQs (again, no manual).
I understand many keyboards are doing away with dedicated macro keys, but I would prefer these on the left side of the keyboard since your right hand is already doing double-duty with the mouse.
Key action: didn’t really stand out initially, they are a bit quieter than my old MX browns yet a bit more “clicky” sounding and feeling (the browns always sounded more like a plasticy “clunk” than a “click”). But they really started to shine after a few minutes of long-form typing. Maybe it’s the shorter travel, and I’m no typing expert but it feels like “touch” typing – it only takes a light press of the key to register and you still get a clicky response. I haven’t gamed with it yet so can’t comment there, but a hard repeated press of a single key seems to have a pretty solid feel too.
Speaking of shining (sigh), the keycaps are matte and show every greasy fingerprint. I haven’t decided if I’m going to try to keep them clean, or wipe them down with something that leaves a residue so they’re all shiny. Good chance they will get glossy with use over time as the matte plastic wears, so another odd design choice there.
I hate to “not recommend” this keyboard since I don’t have a better one to recommend. I will probably keep it since I like how it types and I will rarely use the software once it is setup. But I don’t think it fully lives up to the price tag or the premium/luxury “German design and engineering” marketing.

I wanted something that felt fast and accurate without being crazy loud. I LOVE the key feel and all the profiles that you can have automatically load when your game does(so handy)! It definitely looks and feels like it was engineered in Germany, which I love. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone considering something for doing as much typing as gaming and don't want to keep the entire house up.

My old microsoft x4 broke down after many many years of daily use and it was time for a new keyboard. I knew roccat made good mice and to my surprise they make keyboards too. The action is smooth, the raised keys make typing a joy. Customizable rgb backlit keys. Nice solid construction.

The smoothness of the key strokes to the feel of the concave open caps. Cherry MX type switches without all that cheapo clickty clack. The just right amount of noise to let you have some feed back. It is probably the best built and best performing keyboard I have ever used. And I owned a 486 DX back in the 80s. so I have been through some keyboards. GO Get it now!! BTW the RGB is nice and subtle

Got this to replace my older Corsair keyboard and I am so happy with my choice. RGB isn't even that important to me, but this keyboard is beautiful. More importantly the buttons are extremely responsive, the palm rest pad is comfortable, and I don't find the keyboard sliding around on me while I'm gaming. Would definitely recommend and it's a good price.

I use this as my main keyboard as of now. The keyboard itself is beautiful and its great for typing and gaming. The lighting works really nice. The only reason I don't give It 5 stars is because the magnetic palm rest isn't padded. But even that isn't enough of a drawback to not buy it. I got it on sale for about 120 dollars which I think is a fair price I would definitely recommend it!

I have multiple Roccat keyboards, so obviously they've done me well enough to buy them. One for home, one for work. They're satisfying to type on, look great, and luckily I haven't had many of the issues other users reported like the paint coming off of the keys. The software is decent enough and settings are easy to find, but I haven't really felt a need to do a deep dive since I'm not really interested in the type of games that require macros and special key assignments. No real complaints, quite honestly.
