First time Rock Band player (made the change from Guitar Hero) and I'm loving it! Took a little bit to get used to the guitar, but now I'm cruising. The stock drums are 10x better than Guitar Hero World Tour so that's exciting as well.
Only downfall is the track list on the game, but not much you can do about that when you already have all the awesome songs on the previous games, but hey...there's like 1700 plus DLC songs to buy. :D

I played Rock Band 1 and loved it, but then like many others, became exhausted by the almost yearly rehash of the same system. Now being several years out of the music game genre, I was surprised to find myself being interested in Rock Band once again.
The controllers:
Improved build quality with tighter joints on the drums, and more solid body on the guitar. The strum bar is unfortunately still very mushy without the satisfying "click" you get on the guitar hero controllers
The game:
Very barebones, character creation is very limited with only a few preset choices, but the career mode adds a sort of RPG-lite features, reminiscent of the old choose your own adventure books. For example, one of the early band choices you're offered is to hire a sleazy manager for more cash flow or to stay true to the music and gain more fans but less money. Personally, I find it more enjoyable than just bouncing around from locale to locale and playing gigs, as I feel like the choices actually make you feel more like a real band.
In conclusion, it's fun, but definitely more for the group dynamic. If you're predominantly going to be playing solo, this probably isn't the best choice for you.

Rock band has always been fun to play. Whether its alone or with a whole bunch of friends. Couldve been a 5 star game if it had some features that were present in the previous games. Lack of online multiplayer and practice mode is why the game gets 4 stars instead of 5

Rockband 4 is another great entry to the series. It may seem a little bare bones for veterans of the series but the gameplay is still there. The on disc tracks are OK but with over 1000 DLC songs there's bound to be something you like. Its definitely worth a buy.

I preordered because I was so excited about Rock Band coming back to PS4. I've had some issues with the new instruments reading the notes on time but it's getting better with game patches. Being able to use old instruments and dlc from past games is a huge plus.

My husband and I loved playing Guitar Hero years ago when we were in college, so we figured we'd give it a try when we heard a new Rockband game was out. Honestly, it seems like the game hasn't really changed much and we found it kind of boring. The song selection is mediocre and most of them have to be paid for individually. The purchasing process is slow and really glitchy, and if you didn't go through the steps correctly the songs wouldn't download (even though the credit card was charged). Basically, in the end we just gave up. We thought we would try again some other time, but we honestly haven't played it since the first night we brought it home and that was 3 months ago. =/

Great game. Not much has changed. Same Rock Band game and it is fully compatible with your old music library and equipment. ( If you owned Rock Band for PS3, it works with PS4. If you owned Rock Band for Xbox 360, it will work on Xbox One.)

This edition of Rock Band is really pretty much what we expected. The instruments seem to be well made, and I haven't had any problems.
I do wish the track list was a bit better, but the game is still fun for the whole family.

I love music and wish I had kept playing an instrument growing up. This is fun for family gatherings and a great stress reliever. Also a new way to find songs or learn to like songs you never thought you would.

Good game with good peripherals but this game should be about GOOD MUSIC. The song list was not bad but extremely lacking. Even with the bonus tracks I got for pre-ordering, it was still pretry bad especially for the mone i paid for the fI'll bundle. This was a good chance for RB to bring back fans to the genre but they failed miserably for getting stingy on providing good tracks and would try to cash in from dlc. I was excited to invite friends to play at my place but haven't done so because I think it won't be a fun experience for them just like what me and my family experienced.

Bringing back memories with this game, and bringing old friends back to have some fun like the old times enjoying and playing Rock Band. The older controllers are still compatible, so if you have an old guitar hanging around, you can use that one as the base and have the full band experience.

This iteration of rockband definitely brings back the fun nights of playing with friends and rocking out to songs, but it is hard not to notice the lack of big hits on the available playlist. Only a handful of big hits are available to play and leaving others to be purchased and downloaded from the store. If you are looking to just have a good time no matter what song you play, this is great. But if you are expecting to have an awesome set of songs to play throughout your rocking carrier, you'll probably be disappointed.

It is a great game to play. I have never played any Rock Band games before. As soon as I hooked this up to my PS4 I was rocking to a lot of songs. And it is also easy to order new songs for it off the internet. And easy to download to your system. Highly recommended game for anyone.

I am giving this bundle a 3 star because of the issues we had with the drum set. We had played with the drums less than 4 times and the option button became stuck and the whole drum set was not responsive. We took it back to Best Buy to return and got an exchange. This new set has had some bluetooth connectivity issues but hopefully it will not be a major issue. Otherwise, we will have to return it. The game itself is really good and songs purchased for some prior games can also be downloaded as part of the song list.

I remember rocking out with my friends playing Rock Band 2 years ago and loved it. Rock Band 3 was a more forgettable experience but I'm glad they've listened to fan feedback and made a new game for the new generation of consoles that surpasses expectations on nearly every front.

This new rock band has a ton of great songs, with the option to purchase additional-current songs ! The new freestyle freature is a cool way to play the songs you all love but give it a spin of your own! Great game, similar to the classic rock band games but it doesn't get old !

We have always loved Rock Band and this is no exception. I just wish there was an easy way to port over the purchases that we already made from the previous titles.
