    We had to return the 55mm UV Lens Filter as it was too big for the lens. We ended up having to get a 52mm lens filter. Was inconvenient to have to take it back, but the new one works well. Not sure why these are sold by the mm if it doesn't fit correctly.

    Basically I got this to protect my lens and if it made my shots a bit better as well then that was a bonus. Just make sure your buying the right size and it should attach easily to the end of your lens and you should still be able to use your lens cap. It is a basic filter so there are no special effects, it did what it was supposed to.

    Nice low cost way of protecting a used old lens. That is what a UV filter is for.

    I always get at least a UV filter for any of my lenses. It's inexpensive protection for the actual lens. When I get a new lens I get at least a UV filter at the same time and put it on immediately.
