The Rocksmith 2014 Edition is a good guitar learning software. Easy to follow.

I've been playing guitar for a while, this is a great way to learn and improve i recommend this to people who wants to learn step by step a song, totally rocks

This is a great game for beginners .. play and learn at your pace.. however you do NEED a electric guitar or acoustic/electric guitar to play

First time picking up a guitar. Very easy to understand. A little bit of latency issues, but not the programs fault.

I was very impressed by Rocksmith's ability to read the notes played on a real instrument. I was also very surprised to find out that I didn't know some songs as well as I thought. The software is a little laggy on PS4 vs. PC, but still great either way. I think their claim that this is the fastest way to learn guitar may be true.

I bought it because I wanted to see what it was all about. I wanted to also see if I could learn how to play. I got it for the bass guitar and I've even learning songs ever since. It's simple and easy to use. And you have the option to buy many songs from their online catalog. It was a good decision and definitely recommend it

This is the most entertaining appealing way to learn guitar. My boys are absolutely enthralled with this program.

My son wanted to learn how to play an electric guitar and decidted he needed this to help him learn how to play. In the past six months he has stuck with it and is progressing very well. It's great that he can not only use Rocksmith on his PS4 but also on his smart phone. It's a great tutorial for beginners.

If you want to learn how to play guitar this can teach you the basics of strumming some left and right hand coordination and learn to play some songs, you just need to be patient at the beginning to get the hang of it, once you get past that everything else falls into place. Like any instrument patience and practice will help you advance. But don't make this game the only way to learn guitar you always need other sources.

I have only played this once since buying it and wish to play more. I love the variety of songs and the tuner before each song. However i did not give this 5 stars because it doesn't really teach you cords, its much like rock band and you just have to have your hands in the right area at the right time. Given that if you play a song enough you can probably memorize it. However I like every other aspect of this game.

Fun game! I didn't know how to use the pick before mostly I find strumming easy, but this game help me be comfortable. I still have a long way to go, but I am glad that I can have fun while learning. Sometimes, the feedback is not 100% so some patience are required when that happens.

The game comes with the cable that hooks directly to your guitar plug and the your own, real guitar is what you use to play the game. There are lots of good songs and mini games to improve your guitar skills. It's not a regular video game and also not really like Guitar Hero but it's a great combination of game and music...just know you need a real guitar (with a plug in, not just accoustic).

This game works very well to help you practice and learn fun songs. The cable could be better. I bought this basically to get another cable since it was all on sale. My previous cable broke. The game itself is solid and being able to play some of my favorite songs helps a lot.

Played the original on the PS3 and this was just as good, if not better! I don't remember all the songs, but it really plays well as well as taught my friends that don't know how to play, how to at least hold the guitar correctly and play a couple of strings!

This is a great way to practice! I've played guitar hero for years but after playing rock smith with my real guitar I'll never go back. Sometimes I forget I'm actually learning a real instrument. A quick 30 minute session quickly turns into a couple hours!!

Pro's: The game offers instruction on playing songs. The game eliminates the need for an amplifier. Con: The game requires an additional cable and audio component setup, that I was not aware of, before purchase. If playing the game over HDMI, my television experiences audio lag. Still pretty neat, but was an unknown hassle pre-purchase.

Loveee the game. Teaches u how to play songs on your guitar. HATE that it doesn't include the High and Dry song from the original 2014 edition, even though it says that it comes with all the previous songs or in purchase packs... but its not there. The ONE song i wanted. Oh well. Its still a great tool, nontheless.

Great game for anybody that has an electric or acoustic electric guitar that wants to learn to play it! Love the concept and you get something out of actually playing it! =)
