Not many folks under 30 will recognize this version of Cinderella because it debuted on television in 1965. This is the original Rogers and Hammerstein musical adaptation of Cinderella and it is truly a classic. Lesley Ann Warren is just so breathtakingly beautiful and yet charmingly vulnerable, whether she is dressed in rags or a ball gown. The music and lyrics are so classically Rogers and Hammerstein with melodies you can't forget and words that give depth and meaning to this classic story. Yes, the special effects are what you might expect from 1965 but you become so engrossed in the characters that you don't mind. Whether you are a fan of Rogers and Hammerstein, musicals in general, or just love stories with happy endings, this is worth watching.

I have loved this production since I was a child. Brings back alot of memories. Great DVD

Magical, magical, magical!!!!! Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella came out when I was 4 years old and I watched it every year when it was shown on TV. I have a pic of me watching the movie totally engrossed in the beautiful story of Cinderella. Have always remembered it my entire life and was thrilled beyond words when I was able to buy it from Best Buy. First time I watched it........magical!!!

We haven't watched the video yet as it is a Christmas present to my wife.

In a cross-country move from California to Vermont, I lost everything I had in a warehouse fire in California which included around 5,000 videos. This video was one of my very favorites. While I'm waiting for my insurance settlement, I'm slowly trying to replenish and restore an impossible task of getting back all that I lost. So glad that this wonderful version is still out to buy.

The new generations will find this cute, but fake like. But back in my days, this was true enchantment. The background is total stage props. But the acting is humorous, and delightful. The songs are memorable, and the characters draw in nicely to the original storyline. I now have this classic to play whenever I feel down.

This was purchased as a gift. It is definitely an original and timeless film from the past. The new Cinderella is very good and we love it as well, but for anyone who enjoys movies from yester-year, take a gander at this and maybe compare the two and enjoy with your kids. I can remember watching this with my mom and it still brings me just as much expectation and joy as the new Cinderella probably does today's children. It's a keeper!

I enjoyed this so much when it was on TV about 50 years ago and finally found it for sale. However, the one I received has a small skip in the beginning and when watching one of the extra features, the credits are blurred and you can NOT read them. NOT happy with that. I've had it for 3 months and don't think Best Buy will exchange it anymore.

This is the best version of Cinderella that I have ever seen. Leslie Ann Warren is so innocent and beautiful. I remember watching this every year as a child. The real life characters are better than any animation I have seen. The true Cinderella story!

I had been looking everywhere for this movie, I finally found it at Best Buy, The order arrived 2 days ahead of schedule much to my surprise. I enjoyed watching it just as I did 25 years ago.
