I love the approach that is used with Rosetta Stone. Repetition, photos, pronunciation, and spelling are a few ways you learn with this program. This was well worth the purchase and I would recommend this to anyone that is seriously interested in learning a language.

Ciao a tutti! I purchased the full set of Italian 1-5 version 4. The reason I give this 4 stars is because the meaning of the images are sometimes unclear. The program also does not teach grammar. If there was a concrete explanation of the grammar rules it would make my language learning so much easier. I supplement my Rosetta Stone program with my favoriteYouTube channel "Learn Italian with Lucrezia".

It's like learning language as a kid. You hear the same things over and over, but each time a little differently and with something new added. Understanding becomes second nature.

Overall, I like the Rosetta Stone process for learning languages; but it's not for everyone. There are many things that would be helpful to learn (especially if travelling) earlier in the courses, instead of what would be 100+ hours in the course. For example, I was traveling to Italy 3 weeks after purchasing. The only food items I had been introduced to so far were sandwich, bread, rice, and apple. But Rosetta Stone paired up with something like Duolingo is great! Within a short amount of time (minutes) I was able to access more food related things on Duolingo which helped me while in country. As many reviewers have said, the headphones that came with the product do not work and I was not willing to return the entire product to get new headphones. I use my Apple earbuds just fine.

Still studying basic stuff but so far very intuitive

Best learn a new language software out there. While a little pricey, it is worth the money. I waited for it to go on sale and then bought the Italian one for my wife.

As most people know Rosetta Stone immerses you immediately into the language. I had 60 days to prep for a trip to Italy and was breezing through the program. I was more confident reading in Italy and was glad I started the software, but was not prepared to speak the language, so don't buy this if you want a crash course unless you have 8 hours a day to invest in it. With that said, it is a good program for those with the motivation to complete it, which I would estimate 150-200 hours, and with the cost coming down in recent years this is a far more cost effective option than paying for classes.

Pros- easy to use, very efficient Cons- microphone seems to be hard to read your voice on windows PC. But works great on android and apple products.

The Rosetta stone program is great but i wish it would show video because sometimes the pictures aren't clear and you have to guess the situation. Also I wish they did have an option to say the sentence in English and then the language of choice. But I love the product and i give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Pretty user friendly, easily installed and activated

Overall I think it's a great way to learn another language. It's very easy to install . I like the fact that we can buy all the discs at once in a package instead of each one separately. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I bought this for my 17 year old granddaughter. She and I are hoping to take a trip to Italy in the future and we wanted to study the language so we'd be ready. She loves the program and claims to go into withdrawal if she doesn't have time to be on it.

Standard Rosetta stone, superior price! ($200 less than next lowest price)

Using on a Mac, has frozen a few times and the mic has stopped working. Not the microphones fault or our Mac it's the Rosetta Stone. When all going well good program.

Picked this up for my wife so she could start to learn Italian before our trip this summer, so far she is getting into it and seems to enjoy it quite a bit

Rosetta Stone is once again a winning method to learn another language. Paced properly, provides a good foundation and then advanced skills.

You get the entire set of lessons. It's easy to install, easy to learn, and you will retain the information.

It very nice to hear the word, see the word and to speak the word. Lots of fun.

A wonderful product that is very user friendly. It proved to be a wonderful gift.
