This attachment turned out to be very useful not only to slice veggies but also to grate cheese. Easy to install and wash. I always hand wash and the blades are still very sharp after using it for few months. It is a little bulky, especially for storage.

the slicer/shredder works great especially for shredding cheese. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is since it's not stainless steal, you have to dry the inserts immediately after washing or they rust.

My KitchenAid stand mixer really became a work horse after adding the rotor slicer/shredder attachment to it. I can create massive salads with ease. My only concerns that kept me from giving the attachment an excellent rating is that the shaft bushing scores the shaft and the blades and cones become dull relatively quickly and need replacement. I've already purchased another attachment due to the above issues.

This works great for shredding a lot of cheese quickly. We haven't tried anything else in it, but it comes with a few different blades, so it's pretty versatile.

Easy to use, the only thing is that you need to cut everything in small pieces, but you save a lot of time.

I originally bought this with the mixer and use it about every week or two to grate cheese and such. Does a fine job. After about 10 years, I noticed a crack in the plastic around the shaft. It still worked fine, bit I was worried about stuff growing in that area....and with Christmas sales the price was low enough that I decided it was useful enough that I'd pay to replace it.

the Kitchenaid attachments really make the whole thing worth the purchase. allows you to save space instead of having a ton of devices for the kitchen.

As with every piece of KitchenAid Hardware and kitchen items, this is just like all the rest, absolutely perfect. And Best Buy indeed did have the best price. Thanks for the good deal.

Worked well on carrots , not to good on cabbage (to fine grind), Have not tried with cheese or meat.
