I/We fly most of the DJI products and use them for work. While we like our grandson getting involved, this was a perfect gift for not only him but anyone who is looking for a starter type!! I was really impressed flying in our hangar and the quality of pics for 720p! It would be great for anyone having never flown before and very stable. I have many toys drones for our grandson, he took this and flew it without our guidance, first time! He was able to do flips and other features along with taking pics and video. It's the best $99.00 Dollars we ever spent!! Please don't waste your money on anything else, I promise, this is the drone everyone will like!! Absolutely anyone can fly this off an iPhone! Auto take-off and Auto-Landing, so cool!

This was a good starter drone. Easy smartphone set-up. I upgraded to the Mini 2 long ago to further the adventures but had good times with this flying around the house. A very durable piece of equipment. 3 batteries is just enough fun!

This is my third tello, these little guys are very very easy to fly. I also have a DJI Spark, and a DJI Mavic 2 pro, but the tello is my go-to when I want to fly in a more populated area. It is very unintimidating to others due to its small size and low noise operation. Just have to be careful at night, or in dark areas, as the optical flow system will disengage and the tello will not be able hold its location, and can drift with the wind. I highly recommend this as a first drone. Especially over any other brand low cost drones. You will be very happy with this.

I've been flying drones for professional/fun purposes for years. The Tello is by far my favorite pickup and fly drone. It's super easy to use, stable, responsive and quiet enough it doesn't get on peoples nerves. The phone connection thing is very easy, and if you like it enough grab a Gamesire T1D controller. It makes the responsiveness so reliable that you can do some crazy stuff in the flip/roll mode.

I bought this drone because it appeared to be a good one to start with, without breaking the bank. I wanted something more than a toy that had a decent camera with the ability for both stills and video. I bought the version with extra batteries and an external charging dock so I could have more flight time - important when you're learning how to fly. So far I've been happy with my purchase. Excuse the picture of my roof, but it's something I couldn't do without this drone.

You can get the hang of it really quick, its easy to setup and has more "fun" features likes its throw and go, drone flips, and hand landing which allows it to stand out. In addition, its lightweight and still shoots in good quality that is perfect for vlogging, videoshoots and so much more. New to drones . I didn't want a 20 dollar cheap one . But not a 600 dollar one either. I picked this one because it came with extras . Takes a lot of trys to get used to the controls on your phone .. I ended up buying a game controller for it. Much easier and made my whole experience so much better.. would recommend buying extra props they break easy . But overall great begginer drone . Plus takes good pics and video ..

I bought the DJI stark but I realized that was to expensive and complicate to be my first drone, after I used for a couples of days I was afraid to crash a$500 drone .. so I took it back . And I got the Tello witch is the small version, I’m so excited.. I’m gonna used for while, then When I’m ready I’ll jump to next level; something bigger... I'm 80 years old and my reflexes are getting slower. I can fly the Tello with ease. It's great for indoor flying and a lot of fun outdoors if there is little or no wind. Video is a little jumpy with iPhone. It is much easier to fly with my iPad Air and the video is smooth. I'm also using the Gamesir controller and like that too. Sorry you only use photos. I'm pretty much a video only flier.

I positively LOVE this little drone!!!! I wasn't sure how much I would use (play) with a drone, so rather than drop a few hundred dollars (or more), I figured I would ty a little one like this. I WILL be buying a BIGGER, better one soon, but I will NEVER give up on my little Tello. If you have any interest in trying a drone, BUY THIS!!!!!!

With my Note 9, it takes great photos, but you cannot see the photo while taking. You can see clearly in video mode, but the videos are terrible. With my gfs iPhone it works perfect. It can suddenly drop altitude when stopping/ turning, but can be countered with controls. All in all, awesome!

For a wifi drone at this price is great. The three batteries are helpful as single battery only provides 10 minutes of fly time. Video is not ideal although photos are fine. Easy to fly indoors as well. I would buy this product again. Would also like a seperate controller instead of using a smart phone.

Perfect for begginers! Its a small drone and really basic but its so practical.

My son and I are enjoying this little drone. Currently I have a DJI mini and my son is thrilled that we can fly together. The stabilization and controls of this little drone are very comparable to my DJI mini. I was amazed how easy my 7 years old was able to learn quick how to fly it and use his Ipad to control it, navigate and see everything on the big screen (instead of a phone screen)

Great indoor drone for in house review and practice. Very steerable and feather light.

We've been really happy with this, so far. My 12 year old son got it for Christmas. It takes surprisingly good (and clear!) photos. He was taking pics of our house and property and we were very impressed. I had ordered a landing pad separately for it, and that is nice for him to put on the ground as a target and to protect it from water, etc. If I had a suggestion-I would order extra propellers and propeller guards for it. One propeller flew off while it was in the air and he cracked a propeller guard upon "landing" from that incident. We also found colored body pieces (and colored propellers) that are kind of neat to customize it. I ordered the handheld controller, which he hasn't even attempted to use, as well as a hard carrying case that fits the drone and the controller. It's been pretty fun so far! *These photos were taken on Christmas day. For learning, I thought they came out pretty good!

This is a great drone. I bought it for our grandson for Christmas along with the Bluetooth remote from GameSir. It is easy to fly and the batter last a long time compared to other "toy" drones. Now for the bad part. The Tello application on Android 11 doesn't work. After 2 hours of installing and re-installing it, I found on the internet that the app will not work with Android 11. They say they are working on it. I ended up paying for the FPVTello app--it is only $5 and works great. Fortunately, I did all of this before Christmas day or it would have been a real bummer for my grandson to watch me fiddle with software for 2 hours.

Completely stable no drift quick and responsive, no lag in video. Great little machine...

Can't go wrong with this well made drone. Great video and decent flight time. The extra batteries a plus!
