I bought this laptop to do all basic stuff. It worked great but hen updates started coming and the computer started slowing down. I bought this 4 years ago and now it might be time for a upgrade.

I bought this laptop as an open box for $199. The i3 processor and 4 mb of ram work excellent for what I use it for (casting chrome to a chromecast). The quality of finishing leave more to be desired. The bottom of the laptop is very slightly warped (causing it to creek when I pick it up by that one corner or push down on that corner) and the touchpad is slightly curled in one corner, neither of which really bother me, if I where typing on it all day it might or if I had paid the original MRSP of $449. The aesthetics (looks) of it are great and it appears to work rather quickly (I don't use it for games or heavy programs though).

The reviews about this product had my scared after I had initially purchased it. The product is great I have had no problems. Lightweight fast...The reviews are doing nothing but bashing a product that doesn't deserve it!

Wow - the past reviews are slamming this laptop. I must say - the laptop is not that bad. Yes - it does feel a little cheap, but look at what you got for the bundled price.
It has a good processor and you can add 4GB more RAM to it. It is an entry level laptop with better specs than most entry level laptops. The screen resolution is HD (1366 x 768) and is anti-glare. Wireless works great. I did not see a bunch of bloatware on this, and easily removed what was on there. Windows 8 is new, and yes it takes a little getting used to. So far the touchoad and keyboard are fine with no quirky issues. This is an entry level laptop folks with a few non entry level feetures - HDMI, Intel Core i3. Time will tell about reliabilty. http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/laptops/NP300E5C-A07US

Ordered this laptop on black friday and received it last night. After using the computer for less than 2 hours I am returning it to the store today for something better. The laptop itself is very cheaply made and the touchpad doesn't react very well. Some of that may be caused by how poorly Windows 8 works on a non touchscreen computer. Worst operating system I've ever used. If you're looking for a good laptop I recommend finding something that still has windows 7 installed or that comes with windows 8 pro installed so that you at least have the option to downgrade to windows 7 if you wish.

SAY IT AIN'T SO SAMSUNG

I wanted to make this purchase work given the great bundled price for the processor, Windows 8, Samsung name and other accessories. I have to say the past complaints about poor graphics quality are pretty spot on and, once I verified the problem, I took everything back and got my old stand by Toshiba. I expected a cheap feel and appearance so that part didn't bother me. The main issue is why get a fast processor if the video quality stinks! I would expect this on a Fisher Price laptop but not Samsung. Learned my "Doorbusters" lesson!

This laptop feels so cheap. The plastic that it is made out of flexes alot. The keyboard feels cheap. The webcam is NOT 1.3 mp it is 0.9. The screen is of the lowest quality that I haver ever seen in ANY laptop. Not to mention how buggy the samsung software is.

This is one of the worst laptops I have ever owned. Not only does it feel cheaply made, it really does not work.First of all, Windows 8 is absolutely horrific!! After owning for two months, I have to have the mother board and hard drive replaced. When in line for the geek squad service, the lady in front of me had the same laptop with the same issues. I would return this piece of junk for another but I am past my 30 day return date. Never again will I buy a Samsung laptop.
