I could not be more pleased! My wife and I are older and we can now clearly hear the dialog from movies/TV programs; no more raising and lowering the volume while watching. It also looks great and fits perfectly below the TV. It was well worth the price, and I would highly recommend the Samsung Sound Bar to anyone

Perhaps because I bought a Samsung bar for my Samsung TV, that made it simpler? I don't really care because it was so easy to install and start using-- I have no problems hearing my TV over my loud a/c. Fantastic, highly recommend. Also I bought this online as an open product and haven't had any problems-- it looks like new.

Great Soundbar

The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that whenever the TV is off, the soundbar says "Digital Audio In" every 25~ minutes.

Thank you for purchasing the 2020 Samsung HW-S40T All-In-One Soundbar. I am very sorry you are experiencing issues with a repeating display. Please check to see if the optical port on your external device connected to the Soundbar is still active.
You may also want to reset the Soundbar. While the Soundbar is ON, press and hold the Vol+ and Vol- buttons on the unit for about 6 seconds.

IMO...it is "ok" and sounds about the same as a mediocre TV speaker. So the question is, why would someone buy it? I compared the sound with a cheap insignia 2 channel stereo receiver and 2 insignia bookshelf speakers--that setup won hands down with MUCH clearer sound and far more volume ability. I was looking for something clear sounding and simple to use for my elderly parents. Perhaps that could use the existing TV or cable remote for volume control so they don't need several remotes. So far I have found nothing affordable with those qualities...why? I don't know because I bet it would sell well.

To optimize your audio experience, please try the various sound modes this model offers. Press the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select your desired sound effect: STANDARD, MUSIC, or SMART SOUND.
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).
