Great fridge, crazy water dispenser

I’ve had the refrigerator for about 2 weeks and very pleased so far. We had a French door previously and the side by side takes some adjustment. We can’t fit a pizza box or a full ice cream cake in the freezer, simple adjustments. This fridge is 5 cubic feet smaller than my old fridge but seems bigger due to the way it’s laid out, impressive. My only issue is the water dispenser. I do not care about the light. I do care that if you use a cup smaller than a pint glass, the stream can miss the glass all together. Is the pad adjustable? Why is the stream so far forward? I don’t get the logic, hope I’m missing something. Any help is appreciated. BestBuy delivery people were the worst, so maybe they could have explained something if they hadn’t run off and left us without doing their job. Delivery was a terrible experience.

I don't like giving reviews on the refrigerator I've only had in my home for two weeks but here it goes. I will say this refrigerator cools and freezes more than any other refrigerator I've ever owned. I tested the freezer with ice cream and it actually froze the ice cream and not leave it soft like the previous refrigerators I've owned. It runs quietly and all I hear out of it is when the ice falls into its container. So far so good so I gave 5 stars.

Outstanding refrigerator! Counter depth fits snuggly with just enough room to pull it out from wall. Size is perfect for a single girl who likes to cook. Food is always cold. Con - no deli drawer.

We needed a counter depth fridge and really liked the notion of no handles sticking out. That's how we got to this model. So far, so good. Controlling the temperature isn't as straight forward as some others we've had, but it's not terrible. If I could change one thing, it would be the water dispenser. It's aligned to hit the outside edge of the glass, if you've got a regular sized glass. We have some narrow ones and always need to check that the water will actually land in the glass. Overall we're happy but I would change those 2 things if I could.

I replaced my KitchenAid refrigerator with this Samsung and have been very pleased. The KitchenAid’s ice maker died after 3 years and the compressor fan noise just got louder and louder. It was only 5 years old!! To repair both was almost as expensive as buying a new one.
Counter depth refrigerators have less interior space but that is what this house requires. The Samsung is actually a bit smaller than the KitchenAid but the interior design of the Samsung is much better and makes it seem larger. It’s quiet, makes a lot of ice, has deep shelves and is priced right. I highly recommend this refrigerator.

Our old fridge went out right at the beginning of the Covid-19 shutdown, so we couldn't go to the stores to look at anything, and no one was delivering inside or taking the old fridges away. So, we had to rely on online info only, plus we were limited to counter-depth units only to fit in our kitchen. This replaced an older Samsung unit that was much more deluxe than this one. We always wait several months before posting reviews (until after the "shakedown cruise")
Pros:
-Does its job of cooling and freezing food.
-We really like the fact this has no door handles on the outside. I always hated the fact that the attachment points collected all manor of debris that had to be cleaned out. These are super easy to keep clean as they are recessed into the doors themselves.
- Easy to connect and set up. But we already had the water line and hose from the previous fridge present, so it took us about 60 seconds to connect the new line.
- We also like the fact that the water dispenser is taller than on our old fridge, to accommodate taller water bottles.
Cons:
- If you really like ice, look elsewhere. This can't keep up. Fortunately, we don't use much, but when we had a family member here last month, who liked ice, he had to pray to the ice goddess to give him enough cubes to last a day. Extremely SLOW ice making, and yes, we have checked and tried everything.
- On the fridge side, if you keep the temperature lower than 40 degrees, items on lower shelves freeze, at least for us.
- This unit does not have many built-in bins, so if you want more, you will have to buy stand-alone bins.
- My God, DO NOT shut your fingers in the door! This was easy to do, because we were used to having exterior handles where we could be closing one side, and opening the other at the same time with no worries. On this unit, what you see as a gap between the doors in the photos isn't really a gap at all. So if you perform the above maneuver, your fingers will get caught in between. You will only do it once, LOL.

So silent one barely knows it’s plugged in. My house has an open kitchen/dining/living area so no extra noise is at the top of my list. Occasionally you can hear the water feed into the ice maker but not an issue, really.
Very basic inside. I do miss having a butter area; also a small drawer for deli Would be nice. Keeps my food really cold and my frozen really frozen.
The look and style are very complimentary. Chic. Love the black stainless. Have it paired with regular stainless dishwasher and oven and it looks awesome. I don’t care for too matchy, matchy.
Overall very happy.

Great looking refrigerator
. Has plenty of space for a counter depth. One minor deficits there is no light for the water/ice dispenser. Would still recommend the refrigerator for those looking for a counter depth at a good price.

Love how sleek this refrigerator is, looks great. Love the fact it does not have handles. Dislikes: no place for butter and shelves are not adjustable.
All in all a great refrigerator.

We didn't have much choice with the space requirements we had and the look we were going for. Overall a solid fridge but the shelves and door storage cannot be moved. I hate this about it. The ice maker is pretty small and does not work great.

I love my refrigerator and especially like the way the handles are made. Very good buy for the price. I like the freezer side and the shelves. The refrigerator side has shelves that are far enough apart so I can put my extra large picture of tea in it.

The counter-depth made all the difference in my small and narrow kitchen. It operates very well, though I had to go online to finally figure out how to turn off the ice maker (can't have that going on when I am away for several days) as I was not able to find that information when I reviewed the manual--though I probably just overlooked it. I also love that there are no handles sticking out, which also gave me more room to move about my kitchen. I was always getting little bruises when I'd bump my elbow on the refrigerator door. I don't miss the bruises.

Aesthetics
Love the design - no big bulky handles so it's very sleek and less obtrusive than other counter depth fridges. Great look.
Water/Ice Dispenser
Really miss not having a light at the water/ice dispenser and it's weird you press the top of the "paddle", not the bottom, to dispense water/ice. Plenty of ice for the two of us.
Interior
Love the height of the shelves (milk carton fits on each) but sorry to not be able to height-adjust as needed on rare occasions. Don't miss the lunch meat drawer at all. We use the upper fridge drawer for that stuff.
Love having a side-by-side; lots of storage you can easily access in the freezer side.
Function
Fridge is freezing things stored at the back; need to figure something out to deal with this.
Summary: Could use some tweaks to get a 5-star rating

I buy and restore homes and use this fridge in many of my properties. It's a great fridge. It always looks clean and the storage is great. For a counter depth fridge this is definitely my GOTO as it blends in most any kitchen and kitchens that are tight on space this one makes them feel big without the clunky large standard fridge. Also the lack of handles is nice too to keep that clean look.

Love this refrigerator! Counter depth so less intrusive into the kitchen space, clean and uncluttered interior, sized perfectly for our household (2-3 persons plus occasional guests), maintains temperature perfectly, very quiet, makes cocktail size ice cubes (or close to), nice deep door shelves. Does everything I need, nothing I don't.
Best Buy installers were quick and helpful.

Very nice refrigerator...nice amount of room for a counter depth. I bought this to replace a builder-supplied GE profile fridge that was nice and functional but just too noisy even after several motor replacements...this Samsung fridge is super quiet! I like not having the handles...just something else to clean. I would make a suggestion to offer a small (meats) drawer as that's the only thing I really miss.

I'am happy with the service I received & very much happy with my fridge, what a great investment. Love the size of the freezer & fridge departments just enough room for a small family. Love the door have no handles sticking out to pull opening & closing it & become loose, No problem with this fridge the doors are made inside & NO hand prints on the stainless steel YES!! Its really finger proof resistant also keeps very cold & food last longer & stayed fresher. Yes, a excellent buy.
