I was hesitant for a long time rather to get this monitor or not. Then I heard about freesync update so I pulled the trigger. This is a gaming monitor despite what Samsung or youtubers label it as. I'm getting smooth frames on my 5700xt and the graphics looks insane and having the extra desk space is a plus. Get it while it's on sale

I bought 4 of these, 2 for me and 2 for my wife. I use them for content creation and gaming. I really like them. Despite the response time, gaming is very good on them. I suggest you take the time to upgrade the firmware on these because they don't fully support FreeSync without an update.
I really like being able to push my monitors back against the wall and have all this space on my desk and still be able to use them. I just wish that you could swivel them left and right. Having two of these is great but they have to be flat and side by side, which means if you don't sit in the middle of your desk, you will have a hard time looking at one of the monitors.
1440p gaming is underrated. I wish more monitors were 144hz AND 1440p. The bigger 32" version was tempting with the 4k resolution but the 60hz refresh rate made me go with the 27".

Already a pixel showing. Mounting is litterally a vise style and some of it is pretty thick. Had to cut the backing of the desk and tried un bolting the bottom vise and re screwed into another ready to go screw hole. But the twist part of the vise was against the desk in a different place. It's mounted but if it needs turned it moves mounting also. No side to side monitor adjustment. Looks good

Is monitor is really designed to Save desk space with a desk mounting mechanism that goes into the side of a desk. That being said it's this is really an excellent monitor for what it is, the 27in 1440p 144 Hertz display which is quite unheard of at this price range. I was able to pick it up at $220 openbox but I think that even at $300 or around that is still a pretty good deal. But the monitor does have a specific use case though because it has to be mounted to a table I actually had to cut my table so that it could work. Most desks should work no problem though it's just worth looking beforehand.
The monitor mounts are extremely sturdy both in the way it mounts to the actual screen itself and the way the mount screws into the table it's very substantial.
The bezels actually really thin on the screen itself and it has kind of an off black extremely dark gray color to it that generally blends in with any color in a room.
I did a lot of research looking at monitors and there is nothing at this price range even in the $300 range at 1440p that has anywhere close to 144 Hertz refresh rate.
The colors on the screen are pretty good too there's going to be no HD on this price range at least for a 1 year.
This monitor really only has three downsides the first downside is that only has two inputs. The second is the lack if a touch screen. The last is that theres no variable refresh rate technology.
The mini DisplayPort is kind of a useless input and most people will just buy a converter. And the HDMI input is nice but this monitor is really missing a USB type c port.
It would have been awesome and I mean I would have paid an extra $50 to have a USBC dock built right into it where I could hook up all of my my laptop with just one cable have it charge and power board and mouse.
This matter really should have been a touchscreen its ability to come down and almost lay flat like a surface desktop could have expanded its use cases and too many different applications for 3D design to just ease of use with Windows 10. Or if it had a USB c port and a touchscreen you could just hook up your phone or chromebook right in and use as a bigger screen that would have been awesome.
The lack of variable refresh rate technology really perplexes me here as because it's hotter than 144 Hertz monitor it's so good for gaming with a ok response time and if it had the variable refresh rate capabilities be great for console gaming as well as lower powered pcs at 1440p. There's a great review on this online explain the response times of this monitor.
Ultimately this Monitor does a lot of things really well the colors on it are beautiful it's an amazing typical Samsung display with really vibrant colors it looks like it's just a cut down version one of their TVs when video is playing. of course it lacks HDR but nothing's going to actually to be able to display HDR in this price range. if you're looking to save space on your desk I highly recommend you get this monitor you won't regret it the bessels and modern design look so nice. Just keep in mind that for gaming it might not be as good as the more expensive monitors. And that it lacks a touch screen and only has basically an HDMI in that you'll have to really buy a dongle for it if you want to use it with anything USBC which is like an extra 20 30 40 50 dollars.

This monitor is fantastic. I bought this because of the size, resolution and refresh rate. This is a fairly new monitor and wasn’t specifically designed for gaming which is what I wanted it for. I hooked this bad boy up and it really impressed me. I have been looking at monitors in the same price ball park and same specs that are made for gaming and this is a great value. The pictures is great and the 144hz works great. It has cool features too that allow you to do picture by picture so you can have Xbox and PC running at the same time. (Cause why not) and the same thing for picture in picture. This monitor feels very durable when attached to what ever I mount it too and easily comes forward for closer viewing. The ability to pull this towards you so effortlessly is great.
Pros- works great as a gaming monitor. I am using with MSI GS65 stealth with gtx1070 max q on 1440p resolution. Ultra settings and getting over 100FPS. Looks fantastic. Overall picture quality is great and seriously no major complaints. Was worried about HDMI dongle. But this is HDMI version 2.0 and my laptop can support this at 144hz no problem.
Also very sturdy construction and super thin bezels.
I have read that this unit is not very bright, but I can promise you. It is PLENTY bright.
Cons- it comes with a dongle type cord management system which is very cool and It runs HDMI 2.0 which can support 144hz at 1440p. The downfall is there is not an additional HDMI but only a mini display port. So if I hook my Xbox up to it. It will not support 1440p AND I have to have an adapter from HDMI to mini DP. Seems like just adding another HDMI Input would have been a better approach on this model.

This monitor looks really nice. The fact its 144hz and 1440p is awesome. The small border around the edge is almost none existent which o really like. The stand is nice to i thought i wasn't going to use it but decided to get rid of my $60 dual monitor stand and use this one. Although you don't have to if you don't want too, Overall there are cheaper monitors but this is a decent price for a nice monitor.

It’s not the cheapest monitor in the market given it’s technical capabilities (which is why I knocked off one star), but it is an overall great monitor. It’s greatest strength relies on the fact that it is a very practical monitor which does save you a lot of desk space. It looks stylish and elegant without any bulk and very thin bezels. I only game on consoles so I have not been able to test how it looks with games running 144hz or the QHD resolution, but I do think the resolution given the refresh rate is a good compromise (the 32” model is 4K but lacks the 144Hz feature). It is not 4K but it is higher than 1080p, and at 27” the graphics look pretty great without needing to resize the objects due to the them being too small at native resolution (which would be needed for 4K at this size). I am using it with a Mac mini and the colors and image quality are very solid. It’s only SDR (no HDR or Wide Color Gamut) but the color gradients and overall image processing are high quality. Contrast is not the best, but then again, unless you get a one which FALD (which runs considerably more expensive) this is as good as it gets for a monitor. Overall, if you want something solid yet simple, practical, and stylish, this is the monitor to get.

I came across this monitor while looking for a gaming monitor. It has a 2k display, 144hz refresh rate, and it was on sale so I gave it a try. I was surprised by what I had been missing on a 1080p/ 60 monitor. It has a decent response time for gaming but the higher resolution opened up additional screen space. The stand for this unit attaches to the desk itself and then pivots toward and away from you to save space. Not being able to move my monitor took some getting used too. This will only work for certain kinds of desk because a certain type of overhang is needed. When I purchased it at Best Buy the young lady that helped me took me to a display and made sure I understood how the mount system worked and warned me about the needed overhang. Great monitor for gaming and productivity, if you have the right desk.

The monitor is just a win in my opinion. It's sleek, it's nearly borderless, it's got flush and flat edges, including the back, and it can run 1440p at 144hz (and depending the one you have, can do 4k at 60hz). I have a dual setup, with one running at 1440p @ 60hz for work, and the other running 1440p @ 144hz for gaming. My intention was to drop it to 1080p @ 144hz, but the latest gen GPUs really allow this monitor to be used to it's full potential.
CONS: It is NOT VESA adaptable. However, I ended up finding a customized VESA mount made specifically for Samsung Space Monitors from an amazing guy in Canada (I don't think I can advertise another website, so hopefully the Canada hint will guide you). With it, I was able to mount both monitors side by side, and it looks even more gorgeous.

This was a decent 27 inch qhd 144hz monitor. It was actually my first ever 144hz monitor. Once you go 144hz as far as gaming goes, you can't go back to 60hz unless it for daily tasks or games that don't really need a high refresh rate like RPG games. It would've been better if they offered an option to use VESA. I got mine during a 250 or so dollar promotion with a 50 dollar BestBuy digital giftcard. I eventually sold it. You can't swivel it, but it goes you the option to raise the monitor, to give you more space. At a full retail price I wouldn't recommend it, but maybe when it's discounted.

This monitor does what it's advertised to do. It's a perfect space saver for people with cluttered desks like me, or people who want a minimalistic pc setup.
I use this as a desktop monitor for when i dock my laptop.
A great added bonus is the recent firmware update allowed FreeSync, so i use this as a gaming monitor too.
Only downside is the viewing angles. Given that this is a VA panel, the viewing angles are pretty terrible, and it doesn't swivel to the sides or turn to a vertical monitor.
If you're looking for a swiveling monitor, this is not for you. But if you want to go for a sleek looking, minimalist setup, then this is perfect for you.

I like this monitor a lot, the clarity is excellent very Sharp. Design of the monitor mount is a pretty cool implementation, I like it but don't love it. The mount is stable and solid but the proprietary power plug and cable isn't my favorite overall. All that aside the monitor is indeed an excellent value. Freesync is indeed a feature with this panel you just have to update the monitor firmware. I found the update firmware file on the Samsung Australia website. Once downloaded-unpack it, and copy it to the root storage of your USB 2.0 flashdrive and make sure it's formatted in "Fat32" to ensure that the monitor can properly make use and see the file. After updating the monitor firmware I was able to enable the Freesync switch in the monitor Menu to enable on my new RX 5700 XT.
After all said and done this is the monitor to get, 1440p, 144hz, Freesync for the price I paid at the time ($250 + a free $50 gift card) I can't complain. I couldn't find a better deal elsewhere.
*Gaming on this panel is very very good, yeah I understand TN panels are faster and more responsive, but this sucker is no slouch. Colors pop, no ghosting etc.. no issues at all here if gaming is what you intend to do.
Hopefully I helped someone with their buying decision.

I have 0 complaints about the display on this monitor. I bought it because I am looking to get a new desk soon and I want an L shaped, but most of the L shaped desks have very narrow tops with not much room for monitors and keyboard, I am not a fan of the slide-out keyboard and mouse drawer.
I tested a few of the games I have installed. Doom and The Witcher 3 and as much as some people will argue that you can't see a noticeable difference with a 4k screen, but I could. They looked far more crisp and clear than the 1080p 60hz monitor I was using.
My issues with this monitor come from physical design. I see no reason why they couldn't keep a very similar design but also add in the ability to adjust the height of the monitor by being able to slide it up and down the base stand and tightening it in place.
Secondly, I think they could have added a swivel to the part that you could adjust the height to so that you could easily change the angle of the monitor. You can secure it in the angle you want, but just for the quality of life it having a built-in swivel would have been nice.
So the monitor itself I feel is great and I would give a 5. The space saver stand however I would give like a 3 because it doesn't offer good adjustability other than straight up and high or low and in your face.

Random Flickering after 4 days of use!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Welp....being Best Buy has a 14 day return policy I returned this just as soon as I noticed the issue. I gave it a chance and thought maybe it was my pc graphics card needed an update since I bought a new gaming pc with this monitor. Updated....no improvement. Checked the HDMI cord...seems fine..checked the power supply...seems fine. I DID NOT want to return it as it was very neat to have this space saving feature, and the picture quality was NICE and awesome refresh rate for the price (got it on sale) WITH A $50 Best Buy Gift Card! Welp I decided to plug my PC into my TV for a hour or more and do my work there to see if it would fliker on my tv monitor which would bring the issue to my PC. NOPE...NOT ONCE did it flicker! SO THEN, I contacted Samsung support via chat! I told him what all I did and while he was nice, he only suggested to move the power plug to its OWN outlet as it may be getting not the right current. So I did and it didn't help. After listening to me for a bit longer of everything I did to try to centralize it, he got short and said "well I gave you all the steps we could do and you will have to get service on it". WRONG ANSWER, I wont get service on something I had 4 days lol.....so it went back and bought me a MSI - Optix MAG270VC 27" LED Curved FHD FreeSync Monitor which is NOW hooked up and so far so good. Sorry Samsung....maybe I got a bad monitor I know it can happen but I was not going to settle for someone on your tech end be short give me one suggestion and wanting to close the chat. I love Samsung and always have, great products ....maybe a PC monitor from them wasnt in the books for me LOL

This monitor is great. I have two of them side by side giving me an amazing dual screen, roughly 50" of display via my Macbook Pro.
The colors and the refresh rate are incredible and although the resolution is not 4k, it meets my needs - 4k resolution is not necessary for what I do.
Considerations: The easy to use clamp which affixes to your desk, needs about 4" of desk to clamp to. The clamp sits flush on the desk if it has about 4" of desk to clamp to. I only have about 2.5" of desk to clamp to meaning that the monitor does not sit flush on my desk. This meant I had to pull my dwsk away from the wall by about 1.5"-2".
Very Minor Complaints: Although I knew this going into the purchase, I wish this great monitor would articulate left to right - ir does not. Also, I wish the monitor was brighter. It is not dull by any means but, I wish it was just a bit brighter.

The mount and design of this display is really innovative. You can be sure to get display nice and close if need it or almost completely out of the way when not. Also this is a great gaming monitor as it’s 2k at 144hz with low input lag. It’s not really advertised for gaming but it should be. Works great. Only con is it could be a touch brighter if your room is really bright.

This monitor is great in many factors, however, one of the greatest uses of it is the fact that it is able to be moved for viewability and can free up a lot of space compared to other monitors with the generic stands that take up a large portion of the desk/table. The display is very good, however, this only occurs when the monitor is in game mode, the mode achieves the high quality and high refresh rate that many are looking for. the only downside(s) to this are the fact that it would be better if it were a bit brighter, and the amount of inputs on the back isn't the best. The monitor only has a display port, and an HDMI port, however, it could definitely be improved by adding USB- 3.0 ports and/or USB-C to support certain functions.
