Customers recognize the soundbar's exceptional sound quality and deep bass, praising it as 'fanatic'. The easy setup process is also well-received, with users describing it as 'a breeze'. While the Dolby Atmos feature is acknowledged for its noticeable impact, some users express concerns about the bass strength and connectivity issues with the subwoofer.

This is a great addition to our new Samsung 75" Q90T TV. It paired easily and the on screen menu is easy to navigate. Not quite as good as a full surround sound set-up, but much easier and a great alternative.

Loved this soundbar. Brings all the hdmi cable, power cords and the mounts. Super easy to set up . Hdmi to the back of the tv ARC port and then the power cords. My TV that isn't a samsung recognized it and I can use the TV remote to change volume. To update the soundbar system install samsung smart things app to your phone and follow the instructions it connects the soundbar to your wifi and go check for the update. You can use spotify to play straight from this soundbar. Its Alexa compatible. You will need an echo on the side. The soundbar system brings the standard remote it's ok. I love that it has adaptive mode which is what I use . When you're watching anything that supports Dolby Atmos it will change to that and you will see it scroll on the lcd screen on the right. It has an hdmi input so you can still connect another device and it will run through the TV. Sound is great you hear everything I use it with my movies and tv shows plus when I'm playing games everything sounds amazing !

Thank you for purchasing the 2020 Samsung HW-Q70T Soundbar. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the full experience of Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. With 3.1.2 channel sound, you get a deep audio experience. For a more dynamic gaming experience, try Game Mode Pro.

A Solid Integration with a Samsung TV

Being an audiophile with a history of surround sound setups for the last two decades, I was intrigued by the option of a soundbar to declutter the living room and consolidate the equipment. Out of the box, the soundbar has a sleek, clean look, and tucks under the legs of the TV for a seamless and unobtrusive look on the entertainment center. The cord design with the raised plug area allows you to hide the cords behind the TV and the speaker as to not create the eyesore that my wired surround sound system suffered. The cord for the subwoofer was sufficiently long that it could be placed in an ideal location, and not as far the cord would allow. Pairing the Samsung soundbar with my Samsung Q70 QLED TV in the living room provides the benefit of integration across a single environment, which made the set up of the new system far more simplistic than adding another branded device. The accompanying manual was quite brief, but my familiarity with the Samsung TV interface made it easier to identify the options for setting up the soundbar integration. There are several options to connect the audio (wired or wireless): Bluetooth; optical cable; ARC/HDMI. The greatest strength in customization was actually through the TV interface. I found the ability to use the remote for setup limiting, especially with lacking information in the manual on the settings. The sound quality is solid for a 3.1 soundbar. I have adjusted the bass level up in relation to the treble and am using adaptive sound. The two areas where I've been less impressed compared to my surround system is the depth of the sound and the function of the subwoofer. With the subwoofer turned all of the way up, the sound is faint and lacks the characteristic bass resonance expected from a separate box. The more I have used the bar, the better I've learned the volume controls and have tweaked the center, left and right balance for a better listening experience. This will not serve as a substitute for the immersive experience of a surround sound system; however, this creates a solic upgrade from the onboard sound of the television for a more engaging experience. One final area of folding this into the Samsung experience is the integration with Smart Things. The ability to control the sound through the TV remote, the specific soundbar remote or through the ST app helps reduce clutter on the coffee table. The other great feature is the ability to tap your cellphone to turn the soundbar into a BT speaker.

I bought the Samsung Q70T soundbar system roughly a couple of weeks ago after looking at a TON of reviews and different soundbars and its now June 5th 2021. So some time has gone by so I can truly test out the soundbar and give a somewhat decent review. If the pictures loaded properly I included a picture of the specifications of the soundbar and the watts and stuff. Now I'll admit, the reviews from the experts were correct that the subwoofer, being 160 watts, really doesn't have a lot of bass. However I included a picture showing where I currently have my subwoofer. While it's not a proper placement and it's about 2 inches from my wall right next to my loveseat, I did a bit of testing especially with music from my Spotify Liked Songs list. I listen to mostly rock and metal and a little rap. I don't do country because I love a lot of bass isn't something you typically get from that type of music. Anyways after ALOT of testing and figuring out proper placement for the subwoofer, next to my loverseat only about 2 inches from the wall so the sound can bounce off the wall easier.......WOW I listen to serveral songs and my goodness the bass absolutely thumped hard and I felt it HARD in my chest and body. It was similar to being at the Xfinity Center here in CT during a rock/metal concert and I absolutely LOVED it. There IS bass just gotta really mess around with where to put it. Anyways the soundbar itself.......it def has Dolby Atmos and that sound truly gets loud. I tested out Transformers Age of Extinction on Blu-ray and WOW what a difference. I went back and fourth between 5.1 and Dolby Atmos, and the difference is HUGE. 5.1 I had the sound on volumer 40 to 50 give or take and then I put it on Atmos and I had to turn it down pretty fast due to how loud it got. It's THAT loud. I'm not exaggerating either. Atmos is VERY LOUD. However not all movies support it. Some do some don't. The movie box on the back will say Dolby Atmos on the back and that means the soundbar supports it. Also the movie SAN ANDREAS with The ROCK also supports Dolby Atmos. Anyways sorry this is such a long review. But the Q70T soundbar is awesome. The different sound modes (Standard, Surround, Game and Adaptive mode) work just fine you just have to mess around with the settings and figure out what works best for you. There's more to this system but I don't want to go on forever. Anyways it's absolutely worth the money. Just remember to play around with all the settings and the subwoofer for the best placement. Hope this way-too-long review helps lol.

Really impressed with this soundbar. I bought a new tv that had all the dolby atmos features and wanted to upgrade my 9 year old surround sound system. Yes the bass is almost non existent under about a 20 volume but the quality of sound is really good. My wife and I have both had those moments of thinking something is in our house just from the little soundbar throwing sound all over. When you do turn it up to listen to music the bass does come in very nicely.

Picked up this soundbar to go with a new series 7000 tv. It wasnt the one recommended by the paperwork in the TV box, but rather was an upgrade from that suggested model. I preferred this one due to the true Dolby DTX and Atmos capabilities. Setup was ok, but did take a minute. I have it connected via bluetooth, optical, wifi, and HDMI eARC. I wanted to check all modes but I run it via eARC. So far the only complaint I've had is that I need to manually switch the HDMI input mode when switching the TV to my Xbox input. Sometime it does it automatically, others it requires the button press. Hopefully it's a software issue that can be fixed in an update later from Samsung. I dont have the rear speakers yet, but will probably end up getting them. I read somewhere on Samsungs site that you can use wifi enabled speakers as the rear surround speakers, but so far I've had no luck using that feature with an Amazone Echo Studio, even though I read that Amazon wifi speakers were supported. I'd prefer to use the Echo Studio, as Samsungs own wireless rear speakers leave a lot to be desired, arent truly wireless and seem cheap and plastic. Since I did read it on their website before purchase but cant aww to find it now, maybe they will get that going in a software upgrade. As for the soundbar, the audio is great, the sub does have some ability to bump a little but it isnt going to bring down the house. The soundbar does get pretty loud, and when you have the right input material, the surround is pretty cool, although it works best in a sweetspot in my living room and falls off a little outside of that spot. I do have high vaulted ceilings though, and was told that could have an effect on the surround part of things.

Good soundbar system for the Cyber Monday 2020 extended sale. Dolby Atmos ceiling firing speakers is lacking, maxing out those speakers to the 6 setting helps but they still don't make that much difference, at least not with my 9.5ft ceilings. The sub has a boomy room filling bass sound, but it is not punchy. Don't expect to be rattling light fixtures or pictures on the wall but it does its job. I did purchase the rear speaker kit for this system open box, so overall the 5.1.2 system together is a good soundbar system with decent high's, good mid's, and fair to good bass. I wish the bass had more punch or at least if the system allowed you to add a 2nd sub woofer as an addon that would have been great. Overall happy with my purchase for a total sale price of around $550. However, I don't think this system is worth it at full retail price.($900~)

First off, the atmos on this thing sucks, haha. Hate to break it to you, but if you don't believe me try it. Rtings and others have talked of how the effects are less dynamic. Throw on a disk and compare the core 7.1 true hd track with the atmos. it's night and day. If you don't use it for atmos, though, you're in for a hell of a ride. Certain blu-rays, like Dark Knight, Sicario, Terminatory Genysis, and a host of others completely replicate the movie theatre experience by producing movie theatre sound. it's awesome. spend a bit more for this bar over the budget bar and you will be extremly happy. There's a center channel which is primarly for speaking, and the bar lets you turn it up +6 without turning up the volume on the rest of the movie. this is a god-send. 25 volume for certain demo audio disks is reference. But this bar is loud and the subwoofer is good to very good and loud as well. Play outldly without distortion. Your'e getting movie theatre sound for far less than you normally would need to spend. Buy this.

I gave much thought before purchasing a new soundbar and ended up choosing the Q70T. It is powerful and well balanced. Some folks say that there is a lack of base from the subwoofer. I believe that just depends on the quality of the audio source. I am impressed with its music reproduction. When watching a quality video in 4K, I can make the house rumble when it thunders. I also appreciate the center channel for hearing dialogue after spending thousands of hours sitting behind propellers.
You will get the best sound from the adaptive mode feature. There have been complaints on the difficulty of setting up a voice assistant to integrate with the Q70T. Just take your time and set the apps up correctly and it works. I can instantly activate my voice assistant to the soundbar and start music with ease.
Overall, I am very happy with the Q70T and I do recommend. I’m a picky person when it comes to sound quality and the Q70T meets my standards.

Great soundbar. Get the wireless rear surround kit with it. We purchased this soundbar to pair up with a Samsung 55" QLED in our bedroom so that we could take advantage of the television's Dolby Atmos capabilities without having to go through the expense and trouble of adding a receiver and multiple speakers around the room. The soundbar installation/setup was easy. It paired up with and works flawlessly with our QLED TV. The difference in sound quality was amazing and when we added the wireless rear surround kit, it made that much more of a difference again. When watching a Dolby Atmos or DTS:X encoded movie, the sound moves around the room much more than I expected from this setup.

First of all is like to commend Samsung for releasing such a great product. Very easy to use very easy set up. This little system is extremely loud, the only lack is In the bass... but then again what do you expect?? It’s a surround sound box system. The price is well worth it! It’s extremely crystal clear and even tho I do not have rear speakers the sound does travel to give it the affect of rear speakers. I have it paired up to my 75” the entire system is good but 4 star because lacking bass.. others would disagree but I do like to feel that extra thump! I’ve only played this at maybe 35% volume and it’s extremely loud

The Samsung HW-Q70 T sound bar is a pretty good sounding sound bar, pretty loud, nice and clear and very good surround sound for a 3.1 system. I bought this on black Friday price of 399.99 and am happy I did. I bought two other lower priced Samsung sound bars and took them back before settling on this one. Is it worth the 699.99 full price I would have hesitations on that but for 300-500 range with Dolby Atmos I would 100% go for it. One note tech support answered my one question I had quickly but communicating with each other was a little difficult.
