The set up was very easy. The sound is incredible. Certainly worth the price paid. I like that i am able to hide the subwoofer behind the tv stand without compromising sound quality. Movies, gaming, music...this system improves them all.

The Samsung HW-K550/ZA 3.1 Sound Bar works great ,especially with your Samsung TV. Sound from movies, games, and even using the bluetooth from my phone and iPad is incredible. This is the 2016 model , and has added a center channel speaker which has made it much better than last years J550 model. Good highs/lows and plenty of bass! I would highly recommend this sound bar, for the price it cannot be beat!!

i purchased a Samsung Smart TV in 2013 ,and a Paragdim speaker system. They never were compatible, constant problems Thought I would try Samsung 's product Could not be more pleased with the sound quality. On line set up was so easy. When i did call the help line they answered my questions and even did a follow up call. This is like having a brand new T V

We previously purchased a new Sony TV that was mounted above fireplace mantle from Best Buy. I was having difficulty hearing it and had to turn it up loud. This was because the speakers are mounted on the bottom and it was mounted very close to the mantle. We went back to Best Buy and contacted our Magnolia department rep. (Charlie/Glendora Store). Charlie had been very helpful in previous purchases. Our goal was to buy a Sony sound bar, however; they were too tall because of the limited space between the mantle and the TV. I wanted a good quality sound bar so he showed us the Samsung sound bars. The bar itself is very low profile and has a great subwoofer. We're able to change sound types, based on what we were watching. I can't tell you enough about the product, it works very well, excellent sound quality! We don't even use the speakers on the TV anymore.

Very easy to use, very easy to connect to phone then to TV without any hassle. Sounds really good with no flaws. Looks really good with my new Samsung tv.

Plenty of clarity, plenty of sound. The sub works great too. I run movies at about volume +22 and sub +5. I love the center channel; it makes it very easy to hear all the dialog. I also appreciate that it turns on and off automatically, at least with a Samsung LCD TV hooked up via optical cable.

I like how I can use my soundbar when I watch movies and listen to music from my phone. Looks great mounted under the tv and it doesn't take up space.

Yes the Denon or even the newest Bose soundbar would sound a bit better, however this soundbar is excellent for the 200-300 price range.

Love the sound the Samsung sound bar produces. It is very theater like using this bar!

Not really the best soundbar had the 360 then upgraded to the 450 I still wasn't impressed so I went to the 550. I won't be buying another Samsung soundbar. I'll stick with their TV

We bought this at Black Friday prices to go with our new 65" Samsung SUHD curved TV (85KS8500), and SUDH 4K DVD player (UBD-K8500). We are replacing our Sony 55" 4K, Sony BluRay upscaling DVD and Sony 2.1 Soundbar system. Setup and Configuration: Easy with a Samsung TV: Simply read the instructions included, and follow them to connect the Soundbar to a Samsung TV via Bluetooth. It worked well for us. As well, the subwoofer auto-connected via Bluetooth to the soundbar without a hitch. We can now control the TV, the Soundbar. our DirecTV Genie console, and the DVD player via one Samsung remote. If you have a TV other than Samsung, you will probably need to connect to it via the Optical or HDMI ARC inputs. Regarding subwoofer placement, our subwoofer is located about 18 feet from the Soundbar and works just fine. Sound: The 3.1 sound is much improved over the Sony 2.1 system. The sports mode in particular is rich. We also like the fact that we can hear spoken voice more clearly via the center speaker configuration. I'm sure that a 4.1 system would provide an even better sound experience but for the money, given the big Black Friday discount, this 3.1 system is perfectly fine for our needs. We have a large open living/dining area with a high open beam ceiling and this system sounds great. It really pops though when watching a 4K DVD. Bass is more than adequate. Aesthetics: This is not a curved soundbar so if your TV is curved and you want a curved soundbar for aesthetic reasons this soundbar probably isn't for you. The soundbar itself is 39" long. Our Samsung 65KS8500 curved TV stands on two legs vs. a center pedestal. And we have the legs set at the innermost setting vs. further out towards the edge of the TV. We chose this setting to preserve real-estate on the glass panel we use as a stand. Therefore, when the soundbar is placed on the table in front of the TV, its length extends slightly beyond the width of the legs. (Photo attached). As well, the soundbar will not fit under the TV inside the "V" of the two legs as it is a few millimeters too high. It will fit under the TV itself but not inside the "V" of the legs. You probably don't want to put the soundbar under the TV anyway so as not to restrict the sound, but I'm mentioning it just the same. Many of you may choose to mount the soundbar on the wall and brackets are included for this purpose. And some will place the legs out toward the edge of the TV. There are many options to work with to come up with the best looking, best functioning arrangement for your particular needs. All in all, we're very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

I got this soundbar after discovering that it was on sale for $320 and included the rear surround expansion for free. This sounds so good. I tested the surround with Top Gun and I wasn't disappointed. Voice dialogue sounds far superior on this compared to my old LG 4.1 system. There are a few negatives, though. The sub is terrible for the most part. I have the bass level at 6 and the sub level at 6 and it barely rumbles. Also, it may not always work with your tv. I have a Vizio 4K and it outputs 5.1 Dolby via bitstream. This soundbar would not process it. It would when I switched to PCM but then it is only 2.0 and that is not acceptable. I had to connect it directly to my Xbox for it to work which means nothing else can use the soundbar at that point. Also, the only way to get the 5.1 decoding is through the optical cable. Overall, great system for the money with just a few caveats.

Set up was easy and the sound bar sounds really good with Samsung Smart TV. Only complaint is that sometimes when pause live tv, the sound will be off compared to the visual on tv screen and you have to turn the sound bar completely off to reset it.

This product was very easy to setup for use with my Samsung 55" HD TV. I used an optical connection from the TV to the Sound Bar. Pairing my Phone and Tablet to the Sound Bar using Bluetooth was quite easy. The sound is excellent to my ears, and the sub woofer never overpowers the bar it self. The bar and the subwoofer can be adjusted to suit your listening pleasure. It has several presets for Music, Movies, Sports, etc. In my opinion, the surround sound is excellent! This was an excellent investment.

I want to preface this by saying I have a Samsung TV that I used to connect to the sound bar and I also purchased the wireless rear speaker system. That all being said, setup was totally easy on this system and it has been absolutely great thus far. I have received a couple of compliments on the system as well. I did not need anything expensive or crazy and I think I got a great deal on this system. I would definitely recommend getting this system with the wireless rear speakers.

I purchased the Samsung 340w sound bar with subwoofer for $70.00 off regular price and also got the two Samsung rear speakers for $99.00 - my $70.00 discount on the 340w made the two rear speakers only $29.00 over all a great buy for under $400.00. The whole unit = sound bar, subwoofer and two rear speakers sound great for the room I'm using them in. Great deal easy set up and work very well with Bluetooth technology and my pandora music.
