    Great Washer!

The washer is great! It looks great and works great as well. I was wondering how the VRT Plus(Vibration reduction) worked. I put in a load of clothes and watched the spin cycle and initially it calibrates the load and you hear a few thumps and then as the speed picks up you watch the rim spin and the VRT kicks in and at high speed the rim is steady like it isn't spinning at all! I will update this review as I use it more as I just got it today :) The Best Buy delivery guys(Roosevelt) did an excellent job of carefully bringing in the machine to my limited laundry room space and set it up patiently and waited till they tested it well and hauled away my old washer as well.

The washer is good quality with lots of options. I am happy that it can wash King size comforter. Uses very less water.

Great Washer! Although not very quiet

I will say this is a great washer, gets my clothes really clean. Nice large capacity. Although it does make a fair amount of noise. I could be the hard tile floor and closet it is in or it might not be 100% level, I would assume if installed in an idle setting it wouldn't be so loud. Also, the clothes stay nice and steamy warm for hours after the cycle finishes, so they don't get super wrinkly or odd smelling if they set a little while before they get moved to the dryer.

Love this washer. I switched from top load agitator the this front load and it is great. Tends to shake a bit during some cycles but it works great and cleans great!

    I Love This Washer

I've had this Samsung washer for almost 7 months now so I feel like I can give it a fair and honest review. This is my second front loader so I have learned since purchasing my original Kenmore 4tHE front loader that you must keep the door open and dry off the door and rubber gasket after each wash to keep mold away. It's just something you have to do. I love the different wash setting you can manually control. I like the steam function you can choose to include for hot washes. I feel like this machine gets my clothes and bedding super clean. The drum is plenty big for the amount of laundry my husband and I do. The digital readout and touchscreen are nice features that people in a smartphone world appreciate. I like the cheerful sounds/melody that the the washer makes when you turn it on or when it finishes washing a load of laundry.

Already having problems 48 hours later

I have run literally 3 loads of laundry in this machine and am already having little issues with it. First, it vibrates way more than my previous front-loader LG on any sort of spin/wash cycle. Second, the sound of water filling and draining out of it is sooo loud! The first time I heard it I literally thought water was about to pour onto the floor. No idea what is causing that. Finally, after the second load, I noticed that the liquid detergent cup was filled with water at the end of the load. I researched the problem on troubleshooting and learned that it's either the washer not being level or the cup is clogged with detergent. Well, obviously it's not clogged since it has been used twice. The machine is level and the floor is level as far as we can tell. Now I am going to have to deal with getting someone out to have a look at it or replace it. Really shouldn't be dealing with these issues on a brand new machine... I do like the features and it does seem to do a good job of actually washing the clothes though. I'm just perplexed given that we had none of these issues with the LG washer that it replaced.

Water not hot on Hot setting

    Posted .

When I set the temperature on hot, the water is barely lukewarm. Let the machine fill then paused it and took the temperature. The water temperature was 68 to 70 degrees. I would think on the hot setting, it would be hotter than that. Geek Squad has replaced the board, and values and that has not solved the issue. I got frustrated at one Geek Squad agent who claims this is how the Korean made machines are and it normal for the water to be cooler than what was expected in the past. I thought that was unacceptable. I had an LG before and had no water temperature issues, but it would bounce all over the laundry room when it spinned. An ambient temperature sensor is now on order. This has been going on over 4 weeks. Machine is great so long I don't have to wash anything in hot water/

    Best Buy over Sears

I started my shopping at Sears and ended at Best Buy. The same washer is at both stores but Sears would not match the Best Buy package. I have purchased all/most of my appliances at Sears in the past, but will start taking Best Buy (where I buy all my TVs) more seriously. My washer will be delivered in two days.

Life happens, but very poor customer service

I bought the washer and dryer in early July 2015 on sale. The washer then broke in August of 2015. After much back and forth with Samsung, they refunded me the sales price (not including sales tax) of the washer. During that process, I asked Best Buy twice via e-mail through their website if they would honor the original sale price, as the current price was in excess of that. I received no response to either e-mail, despite being constantly solicited by e-mail for new offers by them. Today I called them and was advised that they will not match the original sale price. In addition to paying sales tax twice, the time spent with Samsung, the time spent trying to get it fixed via repairman, the time and money spent at the Laundromat, I will now need to spend $100.00 more to get the same washer I bought just three months ago. Due to substantial purchases at Best Buy (TVs, computers, iPads, iPhones, vacuums, home theatres, Xbox and games, appliances, etc.) I am allegedly an "Elite Plus" customer. However, actions speak louder than words, and Best Buy's actions tell the true story of how little I am valued. I understand that life happens. Things break. You deal. Sometimes the benefit is that you get insight into how little the store values the years and years of purchases that have been made, and you are able to move on without a second thought.

    Great Washer but Loud

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchased this Washer in 2015. It works great. I did not give it 5 stars because it is LOUD. Makes allot of rattling noises when spinning. Did it since day one. Previous front loading washers I have owned did not do this, this bad. Since it does clean an run well with many setting options, I would still recommend it to someone with the caveat that it isn't very quiet during the spin cycle.

Developed a leak in less then 8 months. Of course there are no authorized service centers.... I have spent numerous days and hours, getting the runaround from Samsung. Nearly a month now, and now I am told it may be another 15-20 business days before I can get a replacement... Are you kidding me, so essentially I will be without a washer for 2 months. So much for the extended repair policy sold by Best Buy, that wouldn't of kicked in till the manufacture warranty was up, that's a loss as soon as I accept an exchange.

    Good Washer but.....

I bought a store display one its a good deal, but it leaks after first used, so Best Buy offered a refund and I bought a brand new one, after one week of used, the second week it leaks again, more water on the floor this time, soaks up 4 bath towels, so I am done with the front load, I am going for the Samsung Top load 5.6 cu FT, but I still love the features of this washer, even though it didn't work for us. I think we had a defective product twice.

We've had this installed for 3 months now - it's a great machine! Plenty of options and relatively quiet (important since my laundry room is right off the family room. I'm glad we went with this unit.

Probably could be a good washing machine but...

We bought this washer and dryer unit based on reviews by users and Consumer Reports. The features are awesome, and there is little doubt that Samsung is a highly reputed manufacturer. Our problem is that the washing machine door doesn't latch unless you hold the door closed and put pressure on it. We have had it serviced five times since buying it 10 months ago. If i had been more diligent, i could have had it serviced every week, because the latch stops working again after 3 loads. But who wants to take off work and wait for the service company to come every week? But now we are fed up and are going to have Samsung pay for a repair every week for the next 8 weeks. That will cost them about twice the cost of replacing the washing machine, unless they choose to simply replace the unit.

Beware of the positive posts on Best Buy & Samsung

    Posted .

Purchased Samsung W/D from Best Buy...poor service and poor product. Called Best Buy to report a service problem 48 days after delivery...but was told "sorry you have 45 days to report an issue". Now you have to go deal with Samsung (which I won't even get into their service). End of the day, both the washer and dryer are of poor quality. Dryer takes wayyyyy longer to dry than anything I've ever had before and the washer constantly goes into reprogram mode. Both take far longer than what they timer says. Buyer beware...stick with Samsung TV's but not washer/dryers. And beware of Best Buys poor customer service.

Continual problems with washer and dryer pair

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

A 1 star rating might seem harsh but we have had an ongoing issue with the Samsung dryer that apparently no one is capable of fixing and now the washer is dumping water on the floor. The tech spent about 10 mins (mostly taking things apart) and said he does see a leak. As soon as he left, we ran a cycle and it leaked like crazy - so it's unusable. What's worse is that the two repair companies that have been dispatched are unreliable and appear to be unskilled. Communicating with Samsung and the 3rd-party tech co. Is a nightmare. I suspect the techs could care a less about Samsung warranty support calls. Never thought I' say this but buy Kenmore at least the service techs work for the same company, Sears.
