This tv looks amazing!! Even though it is a little expensive, it is worth the price!! I recommend people wait until the prices go down though. The remote feels a little cheap. Such a beautiful tv but when they did the remote it feels like they were like," okay "we are done creating a masterpiece" and some one said,"what about the remote"? And they were like, "lets just throw something together real quick". They didn't make any effort for the remote lol. I do love the fact that you can use the remote to talk to the TV! Setting this tv up was easy and does not weigh alot either. I got the 49 inch and I wish there was a 50 inch instead. The screen is beautiful and if u have a samsung phone you can use your phone as a remote because the tv can sense your phone and you can also stream stuff from the tv to your phone and vice versa. The sound on this tv feels so real lol. Yesterday I jumped with fear and thought there was actually someone in my apartment lol. So sound is perfect! Moving on, the tv has a feature called ambient lighting ,it will adjust the screens brightness according to the lighting In the room to give it a better viewing quality. I turned off ambient lighting because at night when I just have one lamp on the tv would lower the brightness to much. Overall this is the best tv I ever had. Lg is still better if u have a 400 bucks more dollars to spend but if you don't and you want something new that looks amazing and you're a samsung addict, this tv is for you!

Great TV with 1 Annoying Glitch!

So I did my homework and needed a 49" to 50" tv to replace a cheap 50" that came in my RV. Being a Samsung fan I picked the new Q6 49" instead of a 8000 model. The Great! It has a great picture! Fantastic amazing sound from a thin tv. Edge to edge picture. Samsung's latest tv software and remote which has about 12 buttons, yes. Weird but it works great once you get used to it. Like Windows opening another window. It's unreal how smart this TV is. Setup is a breeze and it scans for a Samsung cell phone asking if you wish to complete the setup via your cell. It connects wirelessly to Bluetooth headphones and sound bar speakers. In fact I have a new Samsung 5.1 sound bar with wireless rear speakers and it's perfect together. Added a Samsung 4k DVD player and again it all married itself seamlessly. No connections on back of the tv except for a power cord and a cable which plugs into a box so you can remotely plug HDMIs to it. This allows wall mount as well as easier access to connect HDMI units. Forget RCA plugs or any other plug but a Coax input, HDMI and USB. You'll need a Special Samsung wall mount but I modified my RV's swing out wall mount and it worked perfectly but I have access to aluminum angle and can manufacture an adapter for practically nothing. The biggest and only problem. In the RV park we have cable TV. No converter box as it was analog. Straight cable into the tv or in this case Samsung's remote hook up box. No issues analog. But when the cable company went digital, to prevent theift, the issues started! Two options were given to the RV park, go digital and everyone needs a small digital cable box or convert the new digital back to analog. Well they could go digital but then the park has to collect it when the RV'er leaves, a one day stay, 3 day or 6 month. So the park opted for no cable box option which meant the cable company reconverted the signal back to analog. This is basic cable, about 60 channels. Well it seems this Samsung tv model doesn't like it One bit. In the 60 plus channels, on some, about 15 channels, it gets a loud annoying beeping tone! The only way to get rid of it is to go into setting, select broadcast, sound and set from stereo to mono! I thought the tv had a defect so Bestbuy sent me another identical unit and same thing. After back and forth between Samsung and the cable company, both pointing the finger at each other a cable company tech came out and I was told it's an issue they are aware of. Seems the tv doesn't get a strong enough stereo signal when it's converted back to analog. To resolve it I needed a converter box so I head down and get one. Only for it not to connect due signal issues! My question is this, I have a new Samsung 32", while not a Q series it is running an almost identical software as my Q6 49" and why doesn't it share the same problem?! A year later no answer from Samsung or the cable company. When the power goes out or every so often, say a few weeks, it starts beeping again. Not all the channels but about 15 of them. Back into settings, broadcast , sound, switch mono to stereo back to mono and it goes away. A pain in an otherwise great TV. I hoped for a software update from Samsung but no dicem. The finger pointing game continues. Disappointed in Samsung for not addressing this issue on this particular model. Otherwise the Tv's picture, sound and features are the best I've had. Connects to my Wi-Fi and stays connected without an issue, mirror my tablet and cell without an issue, I love this TV but HATE this one glitch! If it was gone I'd be thrilled. The fact that it isn't and the finger pointing continues is sad.

This is Samsung's Magnolia series (aka QLED) for a 49 inch screen. HDR looks great but so does the standard picture. This is top-of-the-line performance from a Samsung TV and even my 7-series TV didn't look this good. All I need now is a 4K Blu-ray player.

I got this TV at the sale price under 1000 and I would say it's worth it at regular retail. The picture quality is fantastic with the lighting benefits of a qled. The colors are vibrant and the blacks are decent. Only issue is when playing games there seems to be some distortion with quick maneuvers. Universal remote works well with newer tech. The smart interface is fast and sleek- much better than budget samsung smart tvs. Overall a great TV for someone wanting to a middle upper TV at a mid-range price.

This is a great TV and it’s reasonably price. It has all the bells and whistles we were looking for. Great picture in both 4K and HD. It’s compatible with the Amazon Fire Stick, Netflix, YouTube plus many others. The 4K stations on YouTube are like you are there. We had the Geek Squad install it as well as show us how to navigate everything. Many reviews of this TV are very critical of the remote. The Geek Squad rep showed us how to use it and we rarely use any other remote. We use it to get to any programming we want. So if you purchase this TV and are not updated on all the current gadgets, have the Geek Squad install and set the TV up for you. You won’t go wrong. Very happy with the purchase.

Getting the Geek squad to deliver and set was $100 well spent. Some reviews coment on sound quality but I found the sound exceptional without a sound bar. Unlike other TV’s, Samsung has 40 watt not 20 watt speakers. The picture is magnificent and apps (Netflix, Amazon) are easy to use and work very well. We have Comcast cable with an Infinity X1 box. To get 4K on cable, it is necessary to switch to Infinity X1 4K for which there is no charge and monthly fee remains the same. Very happy with our TV choice. Have seen in downsides.

going from a 43 inch 720P plasma (which finally died) to this gorgeous QLED TV. The size is comparable to what I had since the plasma had huge black bezels. There are plenty of techie reviews out there for this so I'm not even going to bother with that. Did a considerable amount of research on this and am very happy with my purchase. Only disappointment is with the cheap remote. Using a Logitech universal remote instead. Extra bonus for me is being able to pair Bluetooth headphones to this TV for late night viewing. Gorgeous TV with a gorgeous picture. Unboxing was very easy even for this 62 yr old man without help and the setup was just as easy. Am using all HDMI ports and love the fact that I can attach an external drive for downloaded movies. For my setup and viewing pleasure, I can't really find fault with this TV.

We bought this 49" tv for our family room. It's a perfect size and has a great picture. Can't believe how thin it is as well as light compared to my previous tv. The only negative is the stand. It wouldn't fit our corner tv cabinet so we got the Sanus stand from BB which proved an excellent choice. Set up of this tv was simple and took hardly any time.

The picture on this set is great. The main draw backs are poor documentation, and limited Input/output. The set has a built-in tuner, but the only other inputs are four HDMI connectors. There is no path for connecting legacy VCRs or even video games with composite or RGB connections. Likewise on outputs. The only output on the set is a single SPDIF optical connector for carrying digital audio. While my gear here can still support SPDIF (with a TOSLINK optical cable), it is not very common. Again, no RCA phono jacks for audio out. While 4 HDMI ports may seem like a lot, I already have them all filled (using legacy to HDMI converters) and need to add an external HDMI switch. Another drawback is the stand (or lack thereof). While most Samsung sets use a center pedestal stand, this one has two small legs, and requires either wall mount, a very wide cabinet, or purchase of a separate pedestal stand (the route I took).

Initially considered larger screen (55+”), but in a smaller room realized I could get new technology QLED within my budget. Already a Samsung fan, it was s no-brained. This set has unbelievable clarity, matte surface screen reduces glare and makes angle viewing very good. Also, TV sound is good enough to forego external speakers, further reducing clutter in a smaller room. Love this set!

I purchased a Samsung QLED television, 49”; along with anLG sound bar and an LG UHD Blu-ray player. What a great combination for a master bedroom. Even the GEEK squad, worth every penny paid, loved the picture quality abd sound quality. I haven’t tried to play the blu-ray player yet, but I am sure it will complete the set. The GEEK squad are great to work with and explain everything in detail and aren’t in a hurry to rush out. In fact they won’t leave until they are satisfied that you understand and can show them what they taught about the products. Best Buy is the only place I will shop for electronics. I will count on Best Buy and CNET to help me create a smart home. Being handicapped this is becoming more important to me.

The color is so very vivid, I am amazed. Sound quality is great, I don't have surround since there are two TV's close together, but the sound comes straight to me and doesn't interfere with my husband's games and movies. There is an easy to use interface for doing different things with only 1 remote, I also like the fact that you can now listen with wireless headsets and have internet capabilities.

This TV is the perfect size for the bedroom! While the viewing angles are not that great wen in a living room, its a completely different experience sitting in a closer distance such as a bedroom to watch some movies. The color calibration is amazing and the TVs speakers are quite loud and great sounding. Though i definitely recommend getting a sound bar or an audio system if you can!
