Customers have good things to say about the sound quality, easy setup, Dolby Atmos, and bass of the 5.1.2-Channel Soundbar. They appreciate the good sound quality and features, easy hookup system, amazing Dolby Atmos, and shockingly good bass. However, some customers have concerns about the rear speakers not being Bluetooth, the price not being worth it, and connectivity issues with Samsung TVs.

This soundbar is amazing. I have tried different makes, but this beats all for the price. The bar is sleek and simple to connect. The bass is deep and connects just when plugged in. Now can watch TV shows and Netflix whole day and night cos it brings the live experience of a home theater.

I love these speakers. For those that say the rear speakers aren’t loud enough, it’s bc they have the front speakers too loud. My settings are sub 6, rear speakers 6, and all others at 2. Paired easily with my tv, and phone, and I couldn’t be happier. Hope this helps!

The System is Great. the ability to put the rear speakers in without a lot of wiring was great. The small box is the Bluetooth connection to the rear speaker's which then connects through wires.

The Samsung HW-Q850T soundbar comes nicely packaged in a rather large box. All of the pieces are in a plastic bag and the speakers (soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers) and rear speaker wireless module are easily removed as you can see in the picture. You open the plastic bag and find a manual, mounting hardware, a weight, rear speak wire (2 @ 13 ft.). HDMI cord, AC cords (3 @ 5ft); remote (see picture), batteries, and the AC/DC converter (see other picture with all of the contents laid out). Setting up was relatively easy. You plug in the subwoofer first. Then the soundbar is plugged in and the HDMI ARC connection is made between the TV and soundbar in my case. Lastly, you determine the location of the rear speaker wireless module to ensure you can run the speaker cable the necessary distance. As each rear speaker cable is 13 ft. long, the maximum distance the rear speakers would be apart is 26 ft. Once all speakers are powered up they need to be linked together. The soundbar and subwoofer connected right away for me. I had to use the “ID Set” feature to link the rear speakers to the soundbar. Next I downloaded the Samsung SmartThings app to my Android phone. Here you make the Wi-Fi connection, set up Spotify, set up Alexa and update firmware. The Wi-Fi connection was simple. Spotify connection was simple and works very well within the Spotify app. Alexa setup and firmware updates were failures. I tried (for likely too long) to try to get Alexa to work and update firmware. I am hoping Alexa will work at some time in the future. The wireless update of the firmware (it came with version 1003 in my case) continued to fail. As the manual update requires a USB drive and the service connection on the soundbar is a microUSB, I had to buy a USB female to female coupler to update the firmware (version 1006). Download the firmware to a USB, extract the file to a folder on the USB, connect the USB to your female to female USB coupler, and connect your microUSB cable. Turn on the soundbar and plug in the USB. The firmware updates automatically. I always recommend updating firmware prior to using any device as this will often resolve issues that you would experience if you choose not to do so. The remote (see picture) is small and efficient. I used it to set the subwoofer level. You can also set the level of the treble, bass, center, front top (this is Atmos/DTS:X after all) and rear speaker levels. This is a nice feature I do not have with my other soundbar set ups. You can better tune the sound to your listening area. I listened to shows and movies from the TV, Bluetooth music from my phone, and Spotify from my phone app. The sound of this system is amazingly good. The 3D spatial representation is amazing. On one occasion I thought it was truly raining outside (this is set up in a bedroom) but it was just the presentation of sounds from the show. I would say the subwoofer is adequate. You will not be shaking the walls (a good thing?). I rate this 5 stars on the sound of the set up. 5 stars on the remote control functionality. 3 stars on the SmartThings app. And 0 stars on the Alexa and wireless firmware update as this does not work at this time. However, based on the issue I am having, it may be an Amazon Alexa issue and not SmartThings. Overall, the speaker works well and is worthy of 4 stars. You will not be disappointed in the sound from this setup.

As a home theater enthusiast I’ve never been a big sound bar guy. The idea always intrigued me, but when listening in showrooms I’ve never felt that a single speaker enclosure could replicate a real surround sound system. Over the years sound bars have become more robust first with wireless subwoofers and now with wireless surround sound speakers. When I saw that Samsung was coming out with a new package I thought it was time to give my bedroom sound system an upgrade. Setup: Super easy! My system is a simple HDTV and an AppleTV. I simply unplugged the HDMI from my ATV and plugged into the sound bar and used the included HDMI to run back from the sound bar to the ATV. The subwoofer connection only required a power connection and the rear speaker setup was as simple as plugging in the wireless receive to the wall outlet and running the included speaker wire to the two rear speakers. In my setup the subwoofer and rear speakers fit nicely under my king size bed. Performance: I launched my go-to movie when evaluating surround sound - Saving Private Ryan. The opening Omaha Beach scene is full of explosions and a flurry of wayward bullets. The first thing I noticed was the intense bass emanating from below me. It was almost incomprehensible how deep and rich the bass was coming from the wireless subwoofer. The next thing I noticed was the sound stage. It wasn’t quite as wide as a LCR speaker system might be, but it was very impressive. The sound stage definitely extended wider than the TV and really immersed you in the action. Surround sound performance felt a little muted even with the level set to 6 (highest setting). I’m one that generally likes to hear distinct sounds coming from the rear speakers and this setup didn’t quite get there for me. Perhaps that is a result of my floor placement and not having them as separated as they could be. Either way, the sound was excellent. Other Pros: I liked the sound levels. With my previous setup my wife complained that there wasn’t a good sound level for bed time. It was either too quiet or too loud. This Samsung has many steps that make finding the right level easy. My Quibbles: For a $1000 setup there were a few things that surprised me. I would have expected on-screen display for things like volume or settings. The display is tiny square on the right face and it feels like something you would see on a $100 sound bar. The documentation was pretty weak. I would have loved a better explanation about what some of the settings like the virtual setting was supposed to do and why to use it. Finally, the subwoofer while amazing, might be a little too powerful for my use case and I would have loved to have the ability to turn it off when watching TV heading to bed. You can turn the Woofer volume down, turn down the bass setting, and depending on your video source may be able to turn on a late night mode, but even with all the adjustments set you can still feel a heavy amount of bass even when watching something simple like Colbert. Summary: If you’re looking for a simple way to add impressive sound to your TV watching experience then you can’t go wrong with this setup. I

The Samsung 5.1.2 Channel 450W Soundbar with 8 inch Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Atmos is an outstanding soundbar. Samsung makes yet again another great product. Pros: * Setup: Everything in the box is nicely packed and the instructions are easy to follow. Samsung also provides wall mounting plates for the soundbar which is a nice addition and not expected. It took me two tries to get the subwoofer to pair correctly but after that the remainder of the setup was a breeze. I ended up using the ARC connection. The provided wiring for the rear speakers is long allowing for a wide variety of placement. The hook into a wireless module. It took me about 45 minutes to get it up and running. * Aesthetics: This soundbar has a sleek look and feels well made. It has a tiny screen on the right of the soundbar which displays things like volume and the sound profile selected. There are four buttons along the top. * Sound: It has four settings which include standard, surround, adaptive, and game. I have been switching between the adaptive and surround profile. It would be helpful is Samsung provided a graphic showing the differences between each sound profile. Overall, the sound is extremely impressive and immersive. The bass is deep and rich. I watched one of the Star Wars movies and when the lightsaber is drawn you can feel the bass rumble throughout your whole body. It was amazing! Speech is easy to hear both during loud and quiet scenes. Cons: * Alexa - I didn't have much luck getting this to work. It is definitely not a deal breaker but would be a cool feature. Maybe a firmware update will fix it. Overall, if you are looking for an immersive all in one experience this is the soundbar for you.

Overall this is a great great audio product with a great look. I truly love the sound as it fills up my decent sized living room. And although the pros outweigh the cons by a mile, it's not without its "weirdness". Pros - 1. Amazing sound 2. Great look 3. Deep and subtle bass (hard to find) 4. Just works!! Cons - 1. No USB input port, only one for software updates, and that too micro USB 2. Has no casting functionality 3. Alexa does not work (atleast currently, might need a software fix on Amazon's end) 4. Cannot handle Christopher Nolan movies without you having to change the volume every time music or dialog is in the scene (but then who can) So, to start with it comes in a box way too large for the actual product, but once you open it up, then assembly is fairly easy. If you are placing this on a flat surface, you will want to use the rubber pads(included), since its a bit too slippery otherwise. It is a bit irritating that the cords are actually plugged under the soundbar, so every time you need to plug or unplug something, you have to lift up the soundbar. Also, the 4 "buttons" on the soundbar itself are just capacitive touch areas, so when you do lift or move the soundbar, ensure that your hands don't brush against them and start changing settings. I use the HDMI(ARC) connection to my TV, since that allows me to use my TVs remote to control the volume on the soundbar. And I also have my chromecast plugged into the HDMI IN port on the soundbar, so that it can pass it through to my TV. Love this, so I don't have to waste an HDMI port on my TV with a soundbar without a video signal. The woofer is massive but sounds amazing, it is wireless so can be placed anywhere, although I have it right next to my TV. And the satellite rear speakers have a separate wireless receiver. My old soundbar system had the woofer acting as the wireless receiver, and I personally liked that better since to avoid 1 extra item in my room. But this does allow Samsung to sell each one of these separately. Once you setup the wireless subwoofer and rear speakers, they should connect automatically, but if not you have to press the ID set button on the back. Moving on to sound modes, the manual does not do a good job of explaining what each sound mode does, so its really left up to the user to figure it out. And strangely enough, on initial setup, the default sound mode was "Standard", which does not push any sound through to the rear speakers - which led me to spend quite a few minutes trying to figure out what was wrong with my setup. "Surround" mode apparently does not turn on the subwoofer. So that just leaves Game mode and Adaptive mode. I usually leave it on Adaptive mode, which is supposed to "adapt" to the type of content I am watching. Moving on to the remote - this looks and feels great and you can change the input, pair bluetooth, change volume, subwoofer level. But I wish I could mute and unmute the microphone as well  with the remote. That button only seems to reside on the soundbar itself. Talking about the microphone, it's built for the advertised Alexa integration. But as far as I can tell, that integration doesn't work currently. To be fair, it seems to be an issue on Amazon's end, but Samsung has to take responsibility for their partner as well. Lastly, there is no chromecast type casting functionality to play music over WiFi, or via a USB input device. There is optical in, and bluetooth - of which I have only used the bluetooth, which works as you'd expect it to, seamless. Back to the USB though, there is a microUSB port for software updates, and there is one available when you get the device. So, you can download it from the Samsung website. I have no idea though why the input is microUSB, which requires you to get a microUSB to USB adapter. This is the strangest design decision on this device. You might have noticed that a lot of my review is me nagging, but the product still gets 4 starts, and so that should tell you how truly amazing the sound quality is. The other stuff is something I can truly live with , and are just my high expectations from a device from a reputable brand and at this price point. But I cannot take off more than 1 star for all of it, and will definitely recommend it.

The Samsung Soundbar Q850T was perfect in all aspect for what I needed it for. First let me start by saying set-up out of the box was very easy and everything worked perfectly as soon as I turned it on. This soundbar connects through HDMI-ARC or Optical cable but also has bluetooth/wifi capabilities. The 8-inch subwoofer is fun because it really gives you that theater boom when your watching action films and it also bangs really good listening to rap music. I love the wireless speakers and the surround sound it provides. The entire system is nice looking and sleek. Sound quality amazes me every time and connecting it to my Spotify via Samsung SmartThings app was a plus for me. I did however have problems setting up Alexa but that was on Amazons part and not Samsung so I wont hold that against Samsung. I was also most impressed with the adaptive sound mode and also being able to control sound settings. Overall I recommend the Samsung Soundbar Q850T for all your sound entertainment needs!

This soundbar is amazing! I had my doubts about installing it in the living room to test vs the current 5.1.4 set up I use. Let's just say for the punch it packs, it's a marvelous contender. Sound sounds superb when playing games or watching a movie. It easily filled up my living room with no complaints. Setup is a breeze. The bar, woofer and the surround box all need to be plugged in so make sure you have the outlets where you want to set up. I actually moved it to my master bedroom replacing the current HW-E450 being used there and I couldn't be happier. I use both the ARC function and a direct input (Xbox X) into the bar. I paired this soundbar with my Samsung Q8C Curved TV. Sound itself is great. There are 4 presets - Standard - Surround - Game Pro and Adaptive Sound. I leave it on adaptive and so far so good (though I obviously change to Game Pro while gaming). You can also manually set the treble and bass as well. Using the Xbox One X, I popped in blurays to try out the Dolby Atmos (the bar will display Dolby Atmos just to confirm btw) and sounds great in the room. I have the bar paired with my Note 10 to stream some music via BT, but I later found out to my surprise, if you have a Samsung Phone, you can just tap the bar with it and it will play what you have on your phone. Neat little thing I found while reading the full instruction manual. BTW - The box will come with a user manual BUT it clearly states its not the COMPLETE one! You can DL the FULL one at Samsung's website or scanning the QR code on the book itself. I highly suggest reading the full manual as I found a lot of "hidden" things you can do with the bar. Now here is my 1 gripe. I do not fault Samsung YET because this bar just came out and I am just going to chalk it up to that. I use the Samsung SmartThings app and I was happy to see this bar is compatible with it. When I found the bar and added it to the App, the App will try to "auto update" the bar. When you try to do it manually with the app, it gives me an error "Update Interrupted" over and over. I thought maybe it would just take a while for the update so I let it run while I slept. 6.5 hours later, nothing happened -_- Then to my dismay, the bar quit outputting sound! All displays worked. If i changed inputs, they worked. If I did volume up or down, the display worked. BUT THERE WAS NO SOUND EVER. To remedy this, I unplugged the bar for 5 minutes, plugged it back in and then ran Initialization to "factory reset" it. Worked like a charm back to when I 1st used it. However, I thought maybe I did a no-no or some type of fluke, so I tried not once, not twice but 3 times using a Note 10, Tab S4 and a Tab S6 and every time I added the bar to the SmartThings app, the sound went bye-bye. I just gave up on that and blamed it on it being so new and hopefully down the road, this gets fixed. This didn't bring down my opinion of the bar or quality at all as the app is just an extra thing anyways. Pros 1 - Great and Amazing sound quality! 2 - Ease of use 3 - Looks - I love it personally 4 - Can use it for any room 5 - Great contender with my 5.1.4 Klipsch/Bose hybrid setup. Cons 1 - SmartThings App (at least for me) 2 - Micro USB for manual updates. Seriously? Micro USB? 3 - Satellite wires COULD potentially be a mess for anyone worried about hiding the LONG wires

Samsung never does anything halfway. If you’re familiar with their products, you know they pretty much throw everything but the kitchen sink in their products and this soundbar is no different. This model uses a 3.1.2 speaker setup and flexes its muscle by producing Dolby Atmos sound with DTS-X decoding. For those that aren’t up on your sound jargon, that’s simply break down to it is REALLY, REALLY good. While it could be considered a bit pricey, once you see how the soundbar and subwoofer effortlessly turn your normal watching habits into theater quality events, I guarantee you’ll change your thought process immediately. Design The Q800T is 38.6 by 2.4 inches, so it’s not much different than most soundbars you may research. With it’s low profile design it should fit perfectly in front of all new generation Samsung TV’s as well as most TV’s period. The design, while small, pumps out the sound so effortlessly with more drivers than ever before. The subwoofer is a beast! Weighing in at almost 22 lbs, you definitely won’t feel cheated by this piece of equipment. So versatility is definitely a plus for this one... Setup Sound Simplicity is everything, especially in 2020, and this is probably one of the most one of the simplest setups of any product I’ve ever had. It honestly took me 8-10 min to get everything setup, and about 13-15 with the SWA-9000S surround sound speakers. It works effortlessly with the Samsung SmartThings app and linking this to your TV, music, and other electronics will definitely be worth it in the long run. The connections are some of the most premier on any soundbar in that they support 4k/60 and all HDR settings. The sound is excellent. Straight to the point and describes it to a T. With help from the Acoustic Beam 2.0 technology, sound fills the room and you would swear that you had 6-8 speakers in the room working in a cohesive unit. As well the 4 different sound modes allows for you to have an immersive experience. Whether it be Game, Surround Sound, Adaptive, or Standard; each serves a purpose and no two sound alike. The Q-symphony which allows your QLED to sync with the soundbar for a better sound experience doesn’t fail as well. I truly couldn’t imagine having another soundbar with my Samsung Q80T. Conclusion What can I say, this setup is amazing. It delivers a great experience no matter what you’re listen to and in every way I would recommend it. You pay for what you get, and with this you get excellence.

It's a good soundbar kit but not great. Sound output is good for small room setup. Rear speaks are weak. Not true wireless. Sound adjustment is needed via the app. Recommend to play around with different setup till you find your sweet spot. Not true atmos. I have yet to hear sound coming from above. Purchased when the price was down to $699 during thanksgiving sale. The regular price ($999.99) I believe is wayyy too high for this soundbar.

This is an excellent sounding system. It has great bass, good atmos sound quality, and very clear audio. Easy to setup, and integrates well with my Apple TV. My only complaint is the dialogue. Depending on the movie you have to turn up the audio significantly to hear the dialogue clearly, which in return creates extremely loud action scenes, or any other sound effect other than dialogue. Not sure if this is something that can be corrected through an update or what, but that really is my only complaint. I’ve debated on swapping out for another sound bar because of this issue, but every time I watch something on it I can’t help but love how it sounds (aside from the dialogue volume complaint). If they fix that this is easily a 5 star setup.

    • Comes with 2 rear speakers (optional) that are pretty much useless. I figured this would give the surround sound but that only comes from the sound bar. The rear speakers are very low in volume. You need to put the speaker to your ear to hear it. The sound bar usually turns on by itself when you turn on the TV. On several occasions the soundbar would say its on and connected (via TV ARC), but no sound goes through. We turn it off and turn it back on for it to work. This does not give a completely surround sound experience like a home theater system. Thats what I was looking for. This is sound in front of you, thats spread out around the sound bar.... still in front of you. The sound quality and base is amazing for what is it. For the price its fair to expect more. For 900, this is not worth the money. You can invest in a home theater for a cheaper price and get better. Half of the box when you buy is empty. Think of a sound bar, huge subwoofer, and 3 small speakers shaped boxes. Everything is on 1 side, the other side is literally an empty box so the box seems complete. (Irrelevant info, just giving a heads up so buyers aren't looking for more, like I did.)

      TheSamsungGuy:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-Q850T soundbar and for sharing your experience. Your soundbar is engineered with Adaptive Sound which automatically detects what you are watching and optimizes your sound based on each scene.

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
      2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
      3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
      4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the Sound Control button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment.

I picked this bad boy up with another TV (X900H, although I ALMOST got the Q80T but was ultimately swayed because of the lack of dolby vision). HOWEVER, this soundbar right out of the box sounds really really good. I tried it with my ps5 (through the TV and soundbar connected to tv trhough HDMI eArc). Sound was so immersive. The ONLY thing that I wish it could do, or at least could be updated in the future, is a pass through of 4k HDR 120hz passthrough. That way I can plug the PS5 directly to soundbar without worrying if I'm going to lose capabilities. Both HDMIs (PS5s and the included HDMI with ethernet that came with the soundbar) can support everything you throw at it, but the soundbar support page claims that only 4k HDR 60p (hz) can pass. NOT a big deal since I got 2 2.1 HDMI ports on my TV. If its between this and SONY'S HZ9 (I think its what its called), Q70, or even JBL 9.1 bar, get this-specially if on sale. I almost got the Q90 soundbar (has 7.1.2 or 9.1.2 - can't remember) that has all speakers in one bar, but ultimately did not since ps5 does not support native atmos but does support 5.1, 7.1, and their own version of 3d sound. Oh! And update the firmware via the app-super easy

    Great Sound, Long Learning Curve

I purchased the Samsung Q850T soundbar in early August, 2020. Despite what a Samsung rep told me over the phone, the soundbar was not good out of the box. Basic set-up was straitforward, though (follow the instructions to the letter). I don’t care about Alexa or the SmartThings app, so I cannot speak to those issues. The Q850T system is a great system now in early September, but it’s taken me a month of work to understand settings, coordinate the Q850T with my new TV (Sony model A8H), and decipher the online manual’s broken English and missing important information. For example, what is the “Virtual” feature and what does it do? Am I expected to already know why I would need a “sync” function? For me, the Q850T required extensive tweaking (and a lot of patience) to discover what problems were Samsung’s fault and what were mine due to my long learning curve toward understanding the soundbar’s myriad features. Anyway, with the great help of other reviews on the Best Buy site, I am slowly unlocking the secrets of this Samsung soundbar. Here are a couple: 1. Getting good rear speaker sound requires properly inserting the wires into the speaker connecters. This is a little tricky. Push the wires in too far and you get a crappy connection. A tip o’ the hat to another reviewer for discovering this issue (no mention of it in the online manual, BTW). 2. Most maddening to me were persistent A/V syncing problems, most noticeably with dialogue. For me, these problems occurred with combined Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos content, and only with such content. The “sync” control option of the remote’s Sound Control button was useless. I turned “on” an A/V syncing feature on the Sony TV and that helped a little. But installing the August 24 firmware update is what really seemed to remedy this problem. The firmware update also seemed to improve other soundbar features, a couple of which I have noticed. Therefore, I suggest installing this update before pulling out your hair over this or any other nagging issue. It’s important, too, to download and read (carefully) the separate instructions for how to do the update. Pay particular attention to how the downloaded zipped and unzipped files are structured on the flash drive. As others have griped, you need a microUSB-to-USB connector (not included of course). FYI, there’s a nice discussion of syncing issues at: https://www.popsci.com/story/diy/fix-audio-delay-soundbar-TV/. In short, Samsung’s Q850T has great sound, but getting there requires patience and work to figure out how to get it to function the way it’s designed to. The complaints in many of the Q850T reviews on the Best Buy website reflect these difficulties.

I've been using this soundbar for about 2 weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed! We decided to consolidate space in our apartment, taking down my now 10 year old 7.1 surround setup with receiver to get this soundbar, and it's a superb upgrade to be honest. Upward projecting sound for Atmos content is felt and creates a detailed sound space even for a soundbar; watching rainy scenes in Blade Runner 2049 had me briefly thinking I'd left water running in the kitchen. The subwoofer has excellent punch and depth for low frequencies/rumbling effects for a small to medium sized room, even our living room, and the included wireless rear speaks are excellent for augmenting directionality in the sound space. I have a Samsung 4K tv (KS8000), and it detects the soundbar easily when connected via HDMI ARC. The various sound modes are great as well. I tend to use 'surround' for listening to music and YouTube content, 'adaptive' for movie streaming and blu-rays, and 'gaming' of course for playing video games. The soundbar automatically switches to a separate Atmos mode if it detects an Atmos signal, so you don't have to do any tinkering in that regard. The remote is likewise easy to use, and the small LCD display on the far right of the bar is very helpful for knowing what you're doing when adjusting various settings. Connecting the soundbar to my wifi network, messing with settings, and updating firmware via the SmartThings app was pretty easy and seamless. I did not run into any of the complications that other reviews have mentioned, and it's handy to tinker with some settings and inputs on the fly if I don't want to use the remote. Overall, PROS: -excellent sound quality and detailed sound space -wireless rear speakers are a great addition -easy user interface with remote and SmartThings app -High quality bass from wireless subwoofer -great sound across the board for all kinds of content, especially gaming and Atmos content Overall CONS: -spend a little time with adjusting volume levels for the center channel and front upward firing speakers, as well as adjusting the treble and bass to your liking, as having the front upward firing levels too high can sometimes inadvertently drown out characters' speaking/voices. I have center set at 5 (out of 6), and I have front upward set at 4 (out of 6), the rear speakers set at 4 as well as treble at 4 and bass at 3. -only ONE HDMI input in the soundbar. This is the most egregious con in my opinion. If you primarily watch movies and only have one device, then you're fine. I am using an Xbox One X, PS4 PRO, Nintendo Switch, and my gaming PC. I had to purchase a separate high quality 4K/HDR switcher to connect the 3 consoles to, then HDMI out from the switcher to the soundbar's HDMI in, then out from the soundbar to my tv's HDMI port that also has ARC (so that content streamed from tv apps uses the soundbar as well as my PC which is directly connected to the tv's HDMI to avoid color issues the 4K/HDR switcher might create with PC content). So basically, this arrangement cost me an extra $40 for the switcher, but it works wonderfully now that it's all setup. Just be wary of possibly having to do something like this if you plan to have multiple devices utilize the soundbar NOTE: I had to do this arrangement with the switcher because my tv only has ARC, not the newer eARC which allows the tv to send higher fidelity audio signals like Atmos and uncompressed signals back to the soundbar. Otherwise, I would not have been able for my devices to utilize the soundbar's maximum capabilities. If you own a 4K tv that's newer, like released at least within the past 1-2 years, then it likely has eARC, such that all your devices could go into the tv's HDMI ports, then HDMI eARC from your tv to the soundbar no problem.
