I haven't purchased a new TV in almost 10 years so I spent plenty of time studying which TV to buy and I carefully considered each product before making a purchase. After having this TV for a few months I can say that I am very pleased with this product. I've never owned a smart TV because my Apple TV and other hardware consoles make any TV smart, but I actually found some of the features to be quite useful. The picture quality on this product is very very good. The brightness and color quality in a dark room is very good, which was the deciding factor for me getting this TV.

Easy set-up, great picture. We have no problem streaming, it's very quick. My husband doesn't like the remote too much. Some things are really convenient (like changing between apps, channels, etc), but others like the 'jump 30 seconds'....we still haven't figured out (if it is actually a feature). Always had a Sony but the power board on our last one went after 5 years (our other Sonys went for a LONG time!). Bought it on-line and picked it up. Very easy. Good communication from Best Buy.

I bought this TV for the obvious reason that it has a great picture in a small footprint thanks to the very thin bezel and for the not so obvious reason that it allows me to stream content from a variety of internet sources. It was surprisingly easy to connect to my WiFi. I don't consider myself to be particularly computer literate but the TV literally walks thru the process. I love this internet connectivity. Opens a whole new dimension to TV watching.

I bought this 55 inch Samsung 4K UHD with HDR about 1 month ago to replace a 9 year old Toshiba Regza 42 inch that had picture imprint issues, although a great picture still. I was going to get a regular LED but decided to upgrade to a 4K with HDR after Antonio showed me the difference in quality of 4K UHD with HDR (High Dynamic Range) compared to regular HD LED. Out of the box the set up was easy. I skipped the smart tv part as I don't use Netflix, Hulu, etc and don't need my tv to do my computer work on. The picture clarity and contrast is stunning right out of the box. I'm glad that I opted for the HDR 4K as it makes the brights brighter and the darks darker and the picture so crystal clear. I'm glad I got the 55 inch screen as it really fills my great room with a beautiful picture. I think it rivals the SUHD Quantum dot Samsungs and cost a few hundred dollars less. I'm not very tech savvy and a few issues arose that I was able to figure out on my own. I noticed the picture would stutter or skip on random channels occasionally and it bothered me a lot. I went to settings, picture, expert settings, then Auto Motion and set it to Custom from Auto and left the Judder reduction at 0. That seemed to fix the picture stutter since then but you'd think the Auto setting was designed to do that. Another thing was the sound would not sync with the lips and this would happen randomly, also drove me crazy. I went to settings then Sound, then Expert setting. I opened up Audio Delay and it was factory set at 30. I set it to 0 and the lip sync to sound issue has been solved. No idea why it would have been factory set at 30?? I synced my FIOS remote easily to the TV. The Samsung remote was a lot more cumbersome to operate than my FIOS remote. Maybe if you use the Smart features the Samsung remote might be better for you, just not for me though. My picture mode was factory set at Dynamic but after a few days I thought that it was a bit too bright and I have it set at Standard now and the picture is great. I also increased the sharpness to 70 as I watch a lot of sports, especially golf but have left the rest of the settings as set from the factory. The speakers are good as they are downward firing. I added a Samsung 2.1 soundbar 2 days ago as I wanted the home theatre experience and I got it. It also synched easily to my FIOS remote. One final note, as this TV is pretty much a computer and has the complications of a computer I took out the Geek Squad extended 5 year warranty. Like I said I'm not very tech savy and they will come to the house and fix it if needed or replace it.

If you're looking for a 50-60 inch TV, consider this one. Excellent picture quality and very good sound from the built-in speakers. Easy set-up. The hardest part was getting it out of the box - they pack these things securely! Access is included to popular streaming services. Adapts well to changing light in the room. Works well with Comcast's X1 system, too.

Looked at a lot of TVs on line and read the reviews as well as going into the store and viewing them. Hard to get a good idea until you see them in person and this TV stood out for the the price, features and picture quality.
Smart TV features are easy to use and set up.
Only fault is no manual came with it you have to go to Samsung Website to download.

This is an all-around good TV. I was debating between this model and the 8000 series, but went with this one due to the price. The picture quality out of the box didn't blow me away, but after adjusting the picture settings, I'm very happy with my purchase. I also wanted a TV that was compact with a minimalist design, and this one definitely met that requirement. Also, Best Buy in home delivery was quick and easy.

This uhd tv is nice especially for the price $900 but I should've did some research on it it's missing a big one HDR10 although the box and the specs say HDR Premium it's not the latest technology it's 8-bit HDR it's couple year old tech it's being fazed out by HDR10 and Dolby vision I recently found that out from someone and doing some online research then this guy explained to me how I would know if I got the latest HDR format he told me to go to the settings on my Xbox one s and it'll let me know my TV capabilities and behold my xbox says my 4K uhd tv doesn't support HDR10 but the guy explained to me that my TV would still upscale in 8-bit HDR but it's not the true HDR that was intended for 4K uhd blu rays PS4 & XB1S but overall this is still a great TV no regrets with purchasing it but I might get the 8000 series suhd tv which has the HDR10 this black Friday if it's at a good price lastly it does an excellent job upscaling regular blu rays it still blows 1080p hdtv's off the map

Writing this review after almost 6 months of purchase. Good product. All the features promised are working perfectly fine. Completely enjoying the picture and sound quality. Smart remote is the best. Nothing to complain except the price. It can be little less. I recommended this product to my friends but they didn't show interest because of the price. Felt like, I could've purchased a curve TV for this price.

This is my first Samsung tv and I'm very happy with my purchase. Picture is great in high definition and was very easy to set up. My family loves the easy to use smart remote and it's very stylish as well. It's hanging on my wall and looks great. My only regret is not buying a 65' instead of the 55'. Maybe I will if it goes on sale!

Sale price and positive online reviews by others who bought this model were the primary factors in my choice. Delivered and installed by Best Buy two-man delivery team second week of January, 2017. After one month, watching both Comcast cable channels and streaming Netflix, I'd say the picture is very sharp, colors vivid. motion rate smooth, and sound from the TV's speakers surpringly good...both online and cable. The universal handheld control takes a little getting used to, but works well and the voice command feature is great. If there is one drawback, it's the need for viewers to sit in a center sightline to get the best picture effect. Sit off to the sides of this non-curved screen, and the picture you see dims rapidly. So this is not the set to invite fifteen friends over to watch the Super Bowl. But it's just right, at 55-inches, for two people watching from the couch in the living room. I also bought the affordable two-year Geek Squad plan. (It was a previous plan that paid for most of this Samsung TV when my not quite two-year-old 50-inch Toshiba died.)

This is a replacement for a 10 year-old LCD TV I had. I love the features and the technology. The Wi-Fi connection is new to me, but it allows me to update and stream movies very easily. I like how the TV almost immediately comes on when I turn it on. The picture is excellent and works very well with my new BD player. In my research, I came across a feature called HDR which is a viewing technology feature that will become more prevalent over time. This made the TV more expensive, but I bought it for the long-term implications (future proofing). All in all I'm confident I made a good purchase.

I'm really happy with this TV; the picture quality is incredible, and I love the built-in streaming app. With an optical audio output cable, it connects into my Yamaha receiver, and I'm able to use the one universal remote to easily switch between Dish network, Netflix, Amazon, etc, and get 5.1 audio.

The ultra HDTV provides an awesome picture. I was a little concerned that the 55 might be a little large for my smaller living room, but I have never enjoyed a TV more. Sci-fi is my favorite genre, and I also enjoy nature and history programming. I've never been one to notice much difference in the way the picture looks on any TV, but I immediately saw the difference. I've had this UHDTV for six or seven weeks now and could not be happier with my choice. I read many reviews before making my decision and I always had great service from Best Buy. Added bonus: it was on sale!

I got this tv for Black Friday, I went there with intentions on getting a $500 55" Samsung 4K. However, this TV was recommended by the salesman. I love the Smart Hub and Smart remote...HDR range is the reason he recommended it coming from a Vizio 4K , he advised me HDR was a step above the ordinary 4K...& You can definitely notice the difference! Everything is so crisp and sharp even the background images. I love how you can use the Smart remote with all your devices (including the Apple TV). It also has the cutest little animation when u turn it off, kind of like an old school tv! You won't regret this purchase!

The feature that makes me happiest is the how well the smart (apps) work on this TV. The smart remote is the second (works and looks like an Apple remote). And the third is the amazing colors that jump off the 4k screen. Now I want to replace all my 1920x1080 TVs with 4k.
