Replacing a 47” Vizio smartie with this 55” upgrade to UHD w Bixby v/r. The Vizio croaked at the tender age of 4. Got the Samsung NU8000 hooked up to my new Sonos Playbar & woofer and life is good again. The Bixby v/r is cool. I enjoy using Samsung’s proprietary voice recognition software as I am not an Alexa fan. You need to activate button to “talk” to Bixby, it doesn’t listen to you in the background. Crisp clear UHD picture, also packaged with Dolby Digital and HDR-Plus for you gamers. Finally able to use my HDMI hook-ups with Verizon’s Motorola HD set top box. No more RGB cables; however, the NU8000 has inputs for them if you prefer to go old school. The audio was really nice before cutting out TV speakers for the Sonos. In a small room you’d actually be fine without a sound bar. Set up was easy and intuitive. Simple remote (but for a TV in this price range they could have backlit it!) and the clean frameless design looks good hanging on my living room wall (I use an articulating arm wall mount and use a power bridge to hide the wires in the wall for a nice clean look.) I had wanted a Samsung before but they were out of my model. This time I grabbed me one and I think it’s the best in its class under $1,000!

Wonder if I should have got the Sony.

I was debating between the Sony and this. Same price. Same size. Mostly same features. This has a pretty good picture, but the processor seems a bit sluggish. When browsing through menus and the smart portion of the tv it often slows down on response request from the remote. Twice to the extend that I shut the tv down just so it could refresh and clear the memory as it was locked up. Prior to this I had a Sony Bravia. Had it for many years and it was even a display model I got on the cheap. Processor was fast, even compared to today’s mid-range TV norms. Sales person came over and I asked the difference and what their preference was. They said this one over Sony, so I went for it. Wonder if I should have stayed with the Sony brand. But like I said, the picture is decent. Features are nice and it’s quite easy to connect to other devices. I can control external devices using the TVs remote. It would be cool to hear from the 55’ Sony 4K users on their experience. Summary - of all tech, TVs are a low priority for me so I go mid-road. Might be a “get what you pay for thing” or maybe I bought the wrong brand. Not sure.

The image quality is exceptional. Samsung Smart T.V. features are intuitive and most importantly useful. The image quality is not quite as good as what OLED offers but this television also costs a third of the price and the picture quality is close enough that it would be difficult to justify the extra cost to upgrade to an OLED display.

I had a little buyers remorse at first but that quickly went away! This TV is amazing and I can’t get enough of it. I originally went back and forth between the NU8000 and NU7100 and so glad I picked the NU8000. The picture is excellent, setup was easy, and the remote is functional. I got a great deal so this was well worth it!!

This TV is so smart. Most of the Apps are already built in. Just speak to the remote, saying, "Go to Amazon Prime" and it does. (Of course, you must have an Amazon Prime account, or a Netflix account, or whatever app you want.) Fantastic picture and sound. Easy set up. It is a dream TV! I love this TV!

I really tried to like this TV. After researching for over a year, I finally made the purchase and bought this TV. My biggest complaint was watching nighttime and dark scenes. Some are almost unwatchable. I played with every setting and eventually contacted Samsung. I did everything they told me too and changed all the settings I was told to. They were very responsive and even sent a Samsung technician to my house. The technician was great but said that is just the TV and there was nothing they could do. I am in a dark room, and this TV did not "work" in my dark room. Just something to consider. I know we all see things differently and some things like sports looked very good. I liked the remote and the interface, but in the end could not justify spending that much money on a TV I did not love and could not perform in a dark setting. Learn more about edge lit dimming before making a purchase and make sure it works for you. The full array dimming TV I bought to replace this one took care of the problem and looks amazing. FYI - Best Buy was great to deal with and took the return with no questions asked. Because Best Buy was great, I bought my replacement TV from them as well the same day I returned this one. PS - Always make sure to save the box and all materials until you are sure you are going to keep the TV. I am so glad I did.

Went into Best Buy not really knowing which TV I wanted. Came home with this Samsung and not disappointed! Picture quality is great, super easy step by step set up. Easily pairs with other smart devices. Haven’t used Bixby too much, the remote does eveything easily. Price was perfect!

I bought this TV a month ago, and it was very easy to setup. The smart features eliminated the need for a Roku or other devices. The remote controls most of the functions on my cable box. It's a big improvement over our last TV which had just given out after ten years.

Only had for a few weeks now but so far this tv is awesome! Picture is beautiful. Sound through tv speakers is very good. The only thing that I find as a minor dislike is that the stand base is silver while the tv frame is jet black. I find this a minor annoyance to me while watching it. It kinda makes my eyes gravitate towards it. I probably will run a piece of black tape across it. Feel as though it should be black also. One note about the delivery that I wasn’t too keen about was the fact that the delivery company opened it before it was delivered to me. When I asked the driver about it he said they open all TVs they deliver to make sure they aren’t damaged or they will have to pay for them. I don’t believe that. That’s what insurance is for. Not sure that Best Buy authorizes it,but if I pay for a new item I should be the only person to open it.

My son bought this after seeing my 65" of the same model. Single remote works great (older receiver will not use ARC but once I upgrade the remote will control volume also) Great picture, easy to use, 4k upconvert looks great with my Blu ray movies.

The build quality is amazing, the sound quality sounds amazing & has decent bass, and the visual quality is amazing. 4k & HD look stunning, colors are vibrant and I've had no issues with shadows/darker movies. It has allot of built in features that are very convenient, setting up everything is pretty easy. I've had some issues with the WiFi but nothing too serious, it does have a ethernet port though if you'd prefer that over WiFi. My only issue is the Bluetooth doesn't have the best connection with my Sony headphones but I wouldn't rate it any less cause overall it's still an AMAZING tv.

6th Samsung TV I've owned. Very pleased with this purchase so far. Crisp image and Samsung Smart TV is greatly improved over previous versions. Love the 'hidden' cord features, very slim and TV was very easy to setup. Highly recommend!

I've been wanting this television when it went on sale for Black Friday. It was $150 off, but decided to wait and save my money because Christmas was coming up. I figured they'll have a sale on it for the Superbowl. Well luckily for me it went on sale before Superbowl. The best part was that this time around it was $200 off. An even better deal. So I bought it, and I'll say, this television doesn't disappoint. The functionality of the navigation and remote control flows like a stream, and the picture quality, great. I didn't know if the $886 I spent on it was going to be worth it, but I'm glad I bought it. It's my first "Smart Television", and I'm glad I waited, reviewed it, and finally decided to purchase it. It's worth it for the sale price for sure.

Great pricing on this gorgeous model. Easy to use, setup is not too difficult, mounts easily. Chose this over the Q model to save money and over the 7000 series to get better sound without the need for a sound bar.

I'm not sad I got this TV at all! The size, quality and clarity are exceptional. The packaging was pretty good but the first TV I took home and unpackaged was damaged. However, Best Buy was awesome in switching it out. After unpacking the second one, my only issue was in assembling the TV stand. You have to pop off this black piece to access the area where you screw it in to the stand. No where in the directions does it mention this and the Best Buy guy accidentally figured it out when I took back the first TV. It would've been helpful to have a sticker on the piece or if the instructions had that it there. Otherwise, I love its interface and again the quality and clarity is amazing. It also connected easily to my ps4, the internet and other devices.

The picture and sound have exceeded my expectations for this reasonably priced product. It's a huge leap ahead of the product Samsung sells just one model down. In particular it is unusual these days to find a TV, like this one, that produces enough volume without a soundbar to be used in a noisy environment. The HDR and 4K make the picture quality of this unit among the best in LED TVs. The wifi surround sound can be a little buggy, but-similar to the in-unit speakers-sounds fantastic when it works and does not require you to enable it every time you turn on the TV.

    Solid mid range 4k TV

Not a bad purchase if you're in the market for a mid-range HDR enabled 4K TV. The brightness levels aren't outstanding like the QLED models but for the price difference you aren't missing much, plus this model has a panel with higher refresh geared toward gamers. Only cons I would say would be: - Samsung's advertisements within the menus - I had issues with HDR on a connected Windows 10 gaming PC (HDR capable, GTX 1070). The screen would be extremely bright and washed out, with refresh rate levels all over the place. Might have been a fluke.. - the remote is okay, but I prefer the LG OLED remote/wand better. Also, the colored buttons are weird/not useful, and bixby is laughable. - can't bookmark/favorite cable TV channels Minor gripes but the TV performs well for the price point.
