I purchased this set to replace my Sharp 52" Aquos. The picture is AMAZING! As others have mentioned, the "soap opera" effect is a little freaky (as present on all uHD sets) but it can be toned down a bit without sacrificing that vivid picture (changed my motion selection to "clear"). Sound is great as well!! The remote (and its technology) is incredible (but I will admit, after using it for setup and customization, I pretty much leave it in the drawer and use my cable remote for daily usage).

Well what can you expect from Samsung? Excellence! Once you watch tv on this a flat screen is what it's is flat. The curve bring a 3D look to the picture with out glasses. Plus not having the 3D option is fine with me since there isn't much of a selection anyway. I'm happy with this purchase. A coworker actually bought one too.

I love the Samsung 65" Curved 4K Ultra HD TV! Amazing immersive experience and picture. Extremely rich beautiful clear and crisp picture. The Samsung smart hub has tons of apps and movies. The TV is definitely a talking piece for guests...I get many compliments. Limited 4K content (right now) but blu-ray movies looks absolutely stunning on this TV.

I like the TV but it has couple things missing like, no DVI port and only 4 hdmi. some times the smartremote makes, difficult things like volume + - or Channels especially on kids.!!! (on D N Hopper) regular cable could be different but the image is amazing.!! the smart hub with correct wireless keyboard-mose is really great. i really recommend this TV.

I purchased this Tv just after the price drop around Super Bowl Sunday. I was very pleased with the picture and can't get over the definition on all the HD channels. Recommended to a friend after I used to be envious of his 50 inch TV.

Depth perception it is noticeable as well as higher resolution of videos. Now if you like me are upgrading your 1080p tv, just keep in mind that your BluRay movies will have Black Border lines on the top and bottom of the tv because the movies are not 4K. This is just one of the things that bothered me the most since pixel adjustment doesn't seem to solve the black borders. Now reason of the 1 STAR RATING is because I had the bad luck of buying my tv and not checking it at the store. Once at home, I discovered that the ENTIRE SCREEN WAS CRACKED! Took it back the next morning and BB did not wanted to exchange it saying that they do not cover cracked screens. After dealing with the Manager they decided to exchange it ONLY IF I was to BUY BB-Insurance which DOES NOT cover cracked screens (reason I did not buy it in the first place). I had no Choice but to buy it which COST me ADDITIONAL $300 (cheapest).
MORAL OF THE STORY, CHECK YOUR TV BEFORE YOU TAKE IT HOME.

There is something essentially flawed about this curved TV. I just don't like it. Unlike what I was told, you can't see it from any direction, and I find it reflects all kinds of light too much. I regret not buying a flat screen. My house guest also commented on how difficult it is to watch.

I have read all the reviews for months and I know the curve has no “real” technical value that you can print out on a spec sheet, and looking at for hours in the store was still leaving me wondering. I decided to take a chance and I’m blown away! I was expecting unusual video artifacts and funky side views but this TV is amazing! I LOVE the curve and the picture quality is stunning. Using FiOS with a TiVo Roamio, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV… and the upsampling is just downright impressive. Not much 4K right now but the blacks are like nothing I have ever seen and really impressive. The curve? Flat TVs just look outdated to me now. I hope curved takes off, it has a WOW factor that is hard to put on a spec sheet.
The bad. You need to drink a 12 pack of beer before swallowing the price tag but the features and outstanding picture quality is well worth it. If you like features? This TV has a ton of features that are not listed on any review that I can find and you will be in heaven exploring them all. Most (not all) are very well done too. I don’t want to give all the surprises away.
Glair! The glass is very shinny and any light will be an issue. I’m using this one in a living room with a skylight and windows on all sides but the picture still looks amazing! But the shiny screen would be very annoying if the picture didn’t look so darn good.
The picture quality is so darn impressive that I need to upgrade all my TV’s now *SIGH*

This TV can be really awesome.....most of the time. The picture will blow you away... most of the time. What will drive you nuts is when it looks twice as bad as your old set. For example, watching an older movie, the picture can appear very grainy. Change to another movie and BAM! perfectly clear with no pixelization. I'm very tech savvy (Electronics Engineer) so I have no issues with making sure I'm using quality HDMI Cables, using the correct settings, you name it, so I'm sure it's the way the picture is trying to be upscaled via the TVs software. Some movies look almost "too good". I'm not complaining about that, but it does take getting used to. It's almost like your watching it live or via a super high quality HD video camera. Regular live HD programming like the news looks incredible. Something taped is hit or miss, most likely due to what was used to film the material. High quality image sources such as a blue ray player or Apple TV provide stunning images, especially when the material is of recent making. Hit or miss on older material. Don't be like me spending hours adjusting the TV for the program your watching as you'll need to undo it all if you change the channel. The sound is very good and no need for a sound bar, which is a nice surprise. Just use excellent HDMI cables. I do love this TV, just get miffed when I have to suffer through a show that looks better on a lower quality TV. The remote control could be larger, but does have voice recognition that works very well. It does lack a number pad, but that can be accessed via the onscreen virtual remote. That can be annoying if you just want to change the channel to one you have memorized, but not a show stopper. Good luck.

Much of my research towards this purchase failed to highlight the dramatic difference that 4k resolution and upscaling of existing content would affect the picture. Remember your first HD television and the dramatic improvement that was over the old tube-style TV? Well 4k is as dramatic an improvement over my previous 1080 set. It's almost like having the actors in the room with us. I am currently using this set with an OTA antenna, and the digital broadcast content from the major networks is even stunning. Even the nightly news is better which is saying a lot. and Blu-ray content is simply striking. I am having fun going back through my collection and seeing all of the details I missed both in the theater and on my old set.
I was a little concerned about the curved screen and reflections because we have french doors in our media room opposite the set and on my old plasma it was a problem on sunny days. Well the curve actually seems to minimize the glare rather than make it worse as some reviewers have suggested. All in all I am thrilled with the set and even more happy that I decided to go with 4k instead of opting for a larger screen with standard 1080 HD on the same budget.

We wanted/ kind of needed a new tv anyways so went with this one that would be ready when 4k programming comes out. So far we haven't seen 4k programming on it but the picture is beautiful, can't say it's enough difference from our other LG Plasma HD TV to have bought it if we weren't looking to replace it anyways but since we were and we got it on sale for $1,999 we are happy. Really like the curve & it's surprisingly easy to see from off to the side also. We sit approx 9-10' back. I did some research on the future proofing of tv's and this one from Best Buy checked out for everything I could find about them. Not as much glare as we had on our LG Plasma. Was worried how we would like it but so far we love it!
One thing I don't like is some movies look more like you are watching a play...it's looks like you are right there on the set but is a little distracting from the movie itself. I have checked this out a little and there is suppose to be a way to change it somehow but I haven't taken the time to figure that out yet. We watch lots of sports & they look great on this tv!

Beware of Dark/Black Scenes

I am an IT guy, who is into Technology, so I am no average joe. I have been saving for a new TV since 2008, and am Samsung loyal (my last purchase). I bought this TV about 2 weeks ago when it was on sale. The Cons FAR outweigh the pros in my opinion.
Cons: On black or dark scenes in movies, shows, screensavers, or menus: I could see the LEDs on the top and bottom of the screen, shining a ray of light onto the screen. This in-turn makes a blotchy lighter area on the screen. I saw this in all 4 corners of the screen. The pictures I have uploaded do not do justice to how bad it was, trust me. Very distracting to me. Also, I would hear a pop or crackle after I powered the TV on each time, within about a minute or two or the power on. Lastly, the glare was pretty awful if you have a lot of windows or like watching in the day time, especially on dark scenes. I liked the curve of the screen most times, but I think it makes the glare factor worse.
Pros: The picture and colors on 4k content were AMAZING. Untouchable. Blu-rays looked fantastic, and my player is from 2008, and the TV unconverted it very well. Verizon FIOS HD looked pretty good as well, especially newer shows. Older shows (90's and 2000's) were ok, but you could tell they were not meant for this.
For the amount of money I paid, I felt the TV had to be PERFECT and FLAWLESS, and it was not. Buy if you wish, but keep your box and packing materials... Disappointed in Samsung.. But BestBuy was fantastic with the product return.

I previously had a Sony 55 LCD TV and upgrading to this Samsung Curve 65 UHD LED is amazing. The colors are bright and sharp when watching 4k content. On regular HD content, the upscaling is amazing. I love everything this smart tv does without connecting an additional home computer to stream media. I'm able to connect to my flash drive thru the network from the smart hub and stream all my digital content. The curve aspect gives it a home theater free and really don't have a bad seat anywhere in the living room.
