Samsung's The Frame QLED: Art When It's Off, TV Wh

I've been living with the 65-inch Samsung The Frame QLED TV for a few months now, and it's become much more than just a TV. It's a conversation starter, a mood setter, and an ever-changing piece of art that fits seamlessly into my living room decor. Here's what I love (and a couple of things to consider) about this unique TV: Art Mode Transforms Your Space: Museum-Worthy Display: When the TV is off, Art Mode kicks in, showcasing stunning works of art from renowned institutions like the Louvre and Tate Modern. You can choose from curated collections or upload your own photos and family memories. Customizable Bezels: Elevate the art experience with interchangeable bezels in various styles and colors. I opted for the modern white bezel, which gives the TV a sleek, gallery-like feel. Anti-Reflection and Matte Display: Unlike most TVs, The Frame's screen minimizes glare and reflections, making it look like an actual framed art piece even in bright rooms. Exceptional Picture Quality: QLED Technology: Samsung's QLED technology delivers vibrant colors and deep blacks, with Quantum HDR enhancing contrast for stunning visuals. Whether you're watching movies, sports, or playing games, the picture quality is truly immersive. 4K Resolution and 120Hz Refresh Rate: Crisp details and smooth motion make this TV perfect for enjoying fast-paced content like action movies and sports. Smart Tizen Platform: The Tizen smart platform offers a user-friendly interface with access to all your favorite streaming apps, from Netflix and Hulu to Disney+ and HBO Max. Things to Consider: One Connect Box and Cable: The One Connect box helps keep things tidy, but the single cable connecting it to the TV can be a bit thick and unwieldy. Price: The Frame is more expensive than traditional TVs of similar size and features. However, the unique art mode and design may justify the premium price for some. Overall: Samsung's The Frame QLED is more than just a TV; it's an art experience. If you're looking for a high-quality TV that seamlessly blends into your home decor and doubles as a stunning art display, The Frame is definitely worth considering. Just be prepared for the slightly higher price tag.

The Samsung 65" Class The Frame QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV (2022) is an excellent choice for anyone looking to combine exceptional picture quality with a stylish, space-saving design. As a refurbished model, it offers great value without compromising on performance or aesthetics. The standout feature of "The Frame" is its unique design — when not in use, it doubles as a beautiful piece of artwork. With customizable bezels (sold separately), the TV blends seamlessly into your living space, making it ideal for rooms where a traditional TV would feel out of place. The art mode feature displays high-resolution artwork or photos, transforming the TV into a stunning piece of decor. In terms of picture quality, the QLED panel delivers vibrant, accurate colors with excellent brightness and contrast, thanks to Samsung's Quantum Dot technology. The 4K resolution ensures sharp, detailed images, and the TV's HDR support enhances the dynamic range for an even more immersive experience, whether you're watching movies, sports, or playing games. Samsung's Tizen OS provides a smooth, easy-to-navigate smart interface, with access to all the popular streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. It also supports voice assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant, and Bixby for hands-free control, as well as Apple AirPlay 2 for seamless integration with Apple devices. While the built-in audio is decent for casual use, pairing the TV with a soundbar or external speakers will deliver a more cinematic experience. The TV also features a 120Hz refresh rate, which is great for reducing motion blur during fast-paced content, though it may not have the same gaming-specific features as higher-end models like HDMI 2.1 support. As a refurbished unit, this 65" Frame QLED TV offers significant savings over a brand-new model, with the added benefit of still delivering high-end performance and a sleek design. If you're looking for a TV that can blend into your home decor while providing stunning picture quality, this model is an excellent choice.

The art mode is just ingenious and allows us to not settle one piece of art and stick with it. We change it daily and it looks like we bought some expensive piece of art. I mean, we did buy some expensive TV that doubles as art. 65" is the way to go to complement our space. The quality of the TV is also excellent. Streamlined and sexy, the in wall installation completes the room.

    Exactly What We Hoped For

We've had our Frame TV for just over two weeks now and it is everything we hoped for and even more. My wife has been wanting the Frame TV for more than two years and I held off. Our previous TV came due for replacement and I started looking at the new Samsung and LG OLED models. Beautiful picture on those TV's, but my wife was really wanting to go with the Frame TV for the dedicated (versus secondary) art functionality with no burn-in concern as well as the opportunity for a custom frame on top of the standard bezel. The 2022 Frame TV has a matte screen that does an amazing job of soaking up overhead lights or straight-on daylight. The picture is amazing both day and night. The 65" Frame TV works great for us, and though the pictures show some weird lighting, everything looks perfect in real life usage. We have couches to the direct front and to each side and everyone can see from the seating positions. Further off-angle viewing is not as good as in our seating positions, but that is not a complaint or a showstopper. I didn't think I'd like the One Connect Box, but I really do. It makes set-up and wire management a breeze. For now, we're using Ikea bookcases as our 'entertainment center' and we have the One Connect Box underneath the bottom shelf hidden away. The black box seen in our photo is our Fios Cable Box. and the One Connect Box is hidden beneath the shelf the Fios Box is on. We're using a Sonos Arc Soundbar just below the TV and the single wire from the TV to the One Connect Box is hidden behind the soundbar. To the right of the bookcases is our Sonos sub and we have two Sonos satellites in the rear of our living room. The frame we have around the TV is an additional purchase from DecoTVFrames and they specialize in Samsung Frame TV frames. We are thrilled with our Frame TV and we've easily added a lot of classic art in the Frame TV appropriate resolution from Etsy downloads where we've been able to do bulk picture uploads via a jump drive to the One Connect Box. Using the Sonos soundbar with sub and satellites enabled us to get rid of our much larger receiver, sub and speakers while maintaining a rich audio experience. This also simplified our remote control and device integration as we no longer need our Harmony Hub...the TV can control everything and we use both the Samsung and Verizon remotes as both of them can control all the functionality we need while each has strong points over the other for different functions. We installed the Frame TV ourselves. There are several great videos online and I took hints from many of them. I could have run the wire in the wall, but kept it on the outside as Samsung says the wire is not in-wall rated. The in-wall rated version is expensive ($180 or so) and has limited availability. It's easy enough to hide or disguise the clear wire. When installing, I measured, re-measured, and re-measured more to ensure that we got the included flush mount in the right place to incorporate the center of our wall, stud locations and where it had to be on the back of the TV. I really didn't think I'd enjoy the art option as much as I do. I knew my wife would love it, and I really do, too. I was concerned that there would be something lacking picture-wise, but our Frame TV has been amazing in all regards.

I bought this TV last month, but only got it delivered last week. I love it. I'm blown away by the Art mode. I subscribed to the free trial for Samsung plus to give me access to the large library of photos. I am not disappointed. Van Gogh, Monet, and more. I also have access to Samsung TV for free. I also ordered the Geek Squad delivery and mounting service. The two gentlemen who mounted the TV were professional and quick. They walked me through use of the Frame's features. I'm truly happy with my purchase. 65" TV. I will be buying the soundbar by Samsung as well soon.

I can't belie{ve how beautiful this TV is when in art mode. We just repainted the living room with accent wall. The TV with a the (additional) soft gold bezel and free art from some of the old masters look stunning. Spent the first night stupefied scrolling through. Geek squad hung it perfectly. And helped show me how to take it off if needed. Picture quality from 4K content is very good. You do not get the "liquid" clarity like from high end OLED and QLED competition. And I'm ok with that. The matte finish on the screen is a trade off I'm happy with.

So I renovated our fireplace and once completed I just couldn’t see putting the TV we had back up on the wall. 1) it was too big for the space and 2) I felt as though it sticking out would take away from the work I had just done. A friend recommended the frame TV. I went back and forth for a week on spending money for a TV when we already had a high end TV. Finally we decided to just get what we felt would make us happiest with the space. I have to say, best decision. A flush TV on a wall!?!?! What a difference. Installation was a breeze. Now granted my home is already setup for wires to be hidden. But the instructions we clear and easy to follow. The picture quality while watching shows or movies is amazing. The matte screen makes for easy viewing at any viewpoint in the room with window blinds open. If your are on the fence like me. I highly recommend. One last thing, if you don’t know much about the frame TV I suggest watching some YouTube videos on it. This isn’t your regular TV and the info on the Best Buy site does really explain it well. Like HDMIs are plugged into the back of the TV which is why it can be flush to the wall.

Love this TV! Exactly what I wanted - art of my choice over the fireplace. Several people have not realized it was a TV. The quality of the TV is great as well. We had Best Buy deliver and install it and we’re so happy we chose to do so (no cost since we are Total Tech members). The guys hung it perfectly and explained the features. We hid the thin white wire behind our little round clock. At first we thought we needed an outlet behind the TV to hide the wires, but then we learned that the “guts” of the TV live in a separate box, which is connected by the thin white wire. It’s important to understand this before planning where the box will go - I’m glad I asked lots of questions. Really couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

Stunning. Amazing picture. Our living room is full of windows, so being able to watch TV in the daytime without a glare is a game changer. I love the gallery mode, the art looks incredible. My favorite TV! The flush mount is a must with this TV which completely changes how you view it.

The frame truly is flush against the wall and looks exactly like a picture frame! Quality is top of the line and love that there is only one invisible wire coming out of it. The only con is that you have to pay for the different artworks through a subscription.

Does this TV have top specs? No. But this TV does do a lot very well and it can be funtional when it's off! Coming from a Sony, I took a shot at the Frame 2022 based on the store display. "It could be cool". And It is! There are key things that *make* me like the Frame 22. The matte screen removes all glare and reflections. So if you have windows or are opposite lights, you will be happy. Second, the one connect and having only one wire to the television is so convenient. Art mode, find 4k wallpapers on the net and upload them. Go on Etsy if you want to pay for a few. Take 4k photos... The Frame 22 does very well as a television in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of the colors out of the box but that improved after calibrating the backlight 2pt and 20pt settings provided by rting$ as a reference. Highly advise running some test screens from utube. My current panel has light bleed defect at both bottom corners when displaying dark scenes. But thanks to Total tech membership, I am well within the 60 day replacement window. Geek squad will be here to replace the panel in a couple of days. Will post an update on that. Give it a try. The Frame 22 is a winner.

Actually does as advertised. Had several friends think it was a picture. It is used as piece of art first for the center of living room and a tv second. For its use as a tv it is fine. I gave 4 stars only because for the price, it really should come with an actual frame as the name implies. $200 for that is ridiculous considering it is literally plastics strips that likely cost <$10 to make (if more than that then they need to figure out their production model better).

So far we love our new Frame T.V. It is very clear and we love the Art mode. The only downside is the Samsung television channels that are preloaded and cannot be removed. It is annoying when live tv suddenly activates when on the home page. Other than that, we love the television.

Honestly the best. We haven’t purchased a frame for it yet, and still looks amazing on our wall. The mount is solid, very little to no gap. It’s so flush to the wall. We live in an old 1920’s house, the lath and plaster walls are literally 3.5” thick. No issues with hanging the tv at all. Picture is fantastic. And the art looks so real! Paint globs literally feel they are are popping out of the tv. There’s also very little, even when the sun shines through. The matte display is next level. Highly recommend.

I love this TV. I had an older Samsung Frame tv, and it had a backlight problem just after 5 years old. I was disappointed that it did not last longer, but I love the art feature and the look of the TV on the wall so much that I decided to purchase a new one. Loving the new one and hoping it will last longer than the previous one. I also added one of the Deco frames which I LOVE.

We wanted this TV for our living room; the intent was to have a TV available in the room, without it being the "centerpiece" of the room. With a picture on the screen, it fully accomplishes that! It could simply be learning curve (it's been installed for only three days), but some of the functions in the app (loading our own photos, using the app in a phone) are less than intuitive -- but hopefully, we'll get more familiar, and it will be easier. Very pleased with this purchase!

We didn’t want to have a tacky tv in our sitting room. This was PERFECT! Hide the box but make sure it has ventilation. Then purchase a custom frame from a site like framemytv.com . You will have an instant wow factor in your home. Some of the art is interactive. Rains on the screen when it’s really raining. You can skip rocks across the screen using the touchpad on the remote. Pair it with an Apple TV and a pair of Sonos ERA100s.
