This is a beautiful television set, with a wide array of features. We noticed an improved picture over our old tv right out of the box when watching broadcasts from our provider, and an even better picture when watching through Samsung TV. The no-gap mount is very nice, and easy to hang the tv on. We added the optional frame, and it looks just like a piece of art hanging on the wall. My wife did not want a gap with a bunch of wires and things visible. Not thrilled with having to buy a subscription to the Art store, but the twenty or so free pieces of art available have been sufficient. The only major issue I have with this TV, and the 55" Frame I purchased earlier, is when watching 4k shows that are streamed, such as Netflix, Amazon, and even Apple + TV....the picture is dark, and during dark scenes such as night time, or dark interior scenes, I can see almost nothing. Even the at sea scenes in Greyhound on Apple TV were difficult to watch. Internet forums regarding this issue seem to indicate that it is a decoder issue...Samsung using HDR10+ while the streaming networks are using Dolby Vision. Whatever the issue is, it was a serious letdown for a $3,000 TV. I still purchased it, because the wife wanted a no-gap mount and loved the aesthetics of the tv, and as we all know....a happy wife=a happy life :). I'll just watch affected streamed shows on the Sony Bravia it replaced, in another room.

You can try Dynamic Picture Mode by going to Settings > Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic
Or manually adjust the Brightness settings to your liking. Go to Home> Settings> Picture> Expert Settings> Brightness
You may also want to adjust the Contrast, Sharpness, Color, or Tint (G/R) in the Expert Settings.
I hope this helps to brighten the image to your liking. For further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Support.

We LOVE our 75" Samsung FRAME TV. It looks great, and the art feature is mesmerizing - we can't travel right now but we can visit great museums around the world and see amazing paintings from our living room sofa. Sweet. Was a little pricey (got a Black Friday deal for approx. $2200, regularly $2800).

Let me preface this by saying that I'm a pretty satisfied owner of a 2019 55" Samsung The Frame TV. I have it in my bedroom and it's the perfect combination of a "good enough picture quality" and the wow factor of the Art Mode. It's really been a nice addition to the room. It's not without it's flaws and frustrations, but I feel good about it in general.
When I saw that Samsung expanded the size options for 2020, I was excited to try the 75" version in my main living space. I've had the television for over a week now and I will definitely return it to Best Buy as soon as I'm able to do so.
First, let's start with Art mode. It feels like a downgrade in many ways from the 2019 version. Menus seem much slower and none of the hardware based functions appear to work correctly - auto brightness adjustment (which is key to the success of the art mode, I think) and motion detection just totally fail or are inconsistent. It just seems very buggy and not ready for prime time. For the headlining feature of a major product line, you would think Samsung would throw a few software developers at this for a week or two to fix some things. It feels like they're totally ignoring this. For example, you STILL can't set up multiple "playlists" of images (you're limited to ONE list of favorite images) and if you want to set this Favorites list as a rotating slideshow, you STILL can't set them to shuffle... they appear in the same order every time. This should all be VERY basic functionality to implement. I'm also disappointed that if you have multiple Frame televisions in your home that you apparently have to purchase multiple subscriptions for each TV. There's no multiple unit credit or discount apparently. That would be forgivable if everything else worked well, but as it is it feels like it's adding insult to injury.
Additionally, the 2020 version of the Art Mode software seems to have changed the resolution requirements for your custom/personal images which enable you to apply the cool image matting. All of the images I had resized for the 55" screen will no longer work and must be resized.
On the TV side, I found another disappointment. I had partially purchased this TV because it offered HDMI eARC. I picked up the new Sonos Arc sounder to use with it. eArc on this television combined with the Sonos just fundamentally doesn't work. ALL audio is muted when eARC is selected on the television. This is a consistent issue with owners of the same hardware as found on the Samsung support forums right now. Big fail here.
Additionally, the picture quality just seems poor in general. I see a lot of light bleed, etc. Again, I knew not to buy this TV for the best TV picture experience, and that the Art Mode was the trade-off, but I still can't live with this picture quality.
Of a lesser concern, the one connect box for this model seem to get EXTREMELY hot, so plan to keep it out in the open or well ventilated.
On the plus side, it is nice that the wall mount continues to be included and the hardware Frame design does look really cool when mounted to the wall. It's just disappointing that the software lets down the hardware, but that seems a consistent story with Samsung. I'm relieved that I'll be able to return the unit to Best Buy, but I just wish I hadn't already bolted the thing to my wall. :(

This is a slightly above average TV, however I was expecting more given the price point. Yes it looks nice on the wall. Yes you can tell it is a tv showing an ‘art’ picture....but IMO that is still better than a 75in black screen on the wall. The software feels slow and glitchy...slow response to remote input, below average integration with sonos arc. I had to return this TV once as the wire between the tv and the hub was bad, Best Buy came back out and installed the new one. Now everything is up and running and I enjoy it. Right price point on the 75in would be $2,200 given you have to pay $200 to change the bezel.

I love having the art shown while the TV is off. Otherwise, I’d be looking at a 75 inch black rectangle most of the time.
The remote is fairly easy to use and the picture quality is pretty good. You won’t get the OLED quality picture, but this is definitely the best tv that can display art without a continuous scroll.
One thing I didn’t like was finding out that to mount in wall for full frame effect requires a recessed box for the tv guts and outlet. Geek Squad can’t even install that. Their Magnolia team will do it for $600+ . Your total tech won’t even help with that price. I wish BB had explained that when I purchased it.

The picture is good but not great. I think that is because it is edge lit. If it was back lit I think that would make a dramatic difference. The tv looks great though. I think it sounds good, especially for the average Joe. I think the biggest pain was hanging it with the bracket it comes with. Definitely a 3 person job, 2 to hold the TV and one to guide where to latch it. I like the remote, it is very similar to a fire stick remote. I use the free photo album for when the tv is used as a “frame”, I don’t think the subscriptions are worth it personally.

Great picture quality. Sound is good without a soundbar. The art feature is cool. The subscription costs $4.99/mo to get a selection off cool art. I was disappointed that Samsung doesn't recognize AT&T TV as a provider. I had to tell it that I have DirecTV in order to get logged in. Perhaps this will be fixed with a software update....

20210605 - I have had this TV (75") for about 3 months now and my wife and I are extremely happy with the options and performance, quality, and ease of use. We are utilizing the set as the main interface in the living room. My wife loves the artwork and I'll put new stuff on every day before she wakes up to enjoy it. Making design and tech in this way is very cool!

This is one of the best purchases we have made. after trying for years to select the right piece of art for our big living room wall we decided to try the Frame. it has been a game changer. completely transformed our space. places different pieces of art, family photos everything you can think of can now be on the wall. not only that but our family room which is where we always watched tv is now being utilized less or for other things since this TV blows away the one we have in there. it's huge at 75" and now we watch movies in here and everything just streams to it over wifi. it's perfect.

The Frame by Samsung is Great

Love Samsung’s The Frame. I chose the 75” 2020 model as it hangs with one central hook connection (2021 has two) and it tilts forward slightly. The picture quality is great, audio is fine (addition of a sound bar will be a bonus) and the remote is small (in a good way) and easy to navigate. The artwork viewing is fun; I chose a few dozen pieces from the Art Store (yearly subscription w/ one free month), matted, marked as “Favorites” and now easily cycle through a new one each day. Do I think that’s a real Monet hanging above my fireplace? No. Do I like looking at a Van Gogh instead of a large black rectangle? Yes. Be aware that only horizontal artwork will look best on a horizontal television screen, so that limits what you will want to select.
Some artwork cannot be matted, but appears floating on a colored (you pick) background. I am still learning how to set The Frame’s motion sensor’s ability to turn the artwork off when no one is in the room. I turn it off completely at night, or if I am gone for the day. All in all, very happy with The Frame.

Unpacking the huge box was a breeze as it just lifted up, I put it temporary on its stands- which snapped right in. Installing it onto my rock fireplace, with a TV hanger that allows easy access behind, allowed me hide all wires, including the control box I hid behind the TV, strapping it to the hanger. Seamless, painless, and really attractive.
When visitors enter my home they think it is a large framed picture hanging above my fireplace. I enjoy changing the images daily and using various matt colors to make it pop. This really does revolutionize what "is" a TV and turns it into awesome artwork displayed in your home when the TV is not on. I have it set to motion, so when someone enters the room it turns on (instantly, you will never know it was off)- works as a great nightlight as well!
The TV itself is Smart, I love being able to go right to Netflix and Prime right off the remote. The picture is clear and crisp. This is truly the TV to get!
