The most impressive thing about this large screen TV is how well it displays low resolution videos. Even Casting 720 P video looks great and of course 4K video looks Excellent. One reason I got it though was the heavy duty stand in the middle, most TV's this size have two stands on each side, plus if I want to wall mount it in a future house it will go flush against the wall. (also no reflections from windows and lamps) The One connect box makes it easy to contain the wires out of sight but with easy access. I could go on...

Great TV. Video quality is superb. 4K movies looks great. Blacks looks deep. OneConnect box is a great feature; made setup so much easier. Super heavy. TV is aesthetically beautiful, specially if mounted on the wall with the no-gap bracket. I originally bought the 2020 model and returned it when i realized the 2019 models were better (google it). If you have your streaming device connected to a soundbar, like I do, lack of eArc is not an issue. I have the Samsung soundbar Q80R. I bought the TV during the 1-day sale ($1,000 cheaper). Couldn't be happier. Highly Recommended if you can get your hands on one.

Have had the Q90 for 5 months now and still very happy with the tv and the picture it produces. Tv speakers aren’t great but was told that ahead of time and bought a soundbar with the tv. Besides the source function being inconvenient super happy with the tv

My previous TV picked up so much glare I needed a better TV. The anti-glare on this TV it great even with sunlight directly hitting it. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Other TVs usually have low sound quality and require a sound bar to hear but this one is great and there is no need for a sound bar either.

The Q90 looks very beautiful from any angel. It has very thin edge, and metal trim (look like metal) around the edge. It come with a traditional stand and able to provide solid support, but, I didn't use its stand. I mount it above my fireplace. That is only one connection the rear of the Q90, everything is in one connect box. I have everything pre-wried on my wall and connect all input device via my receiver. This is a drawback for me. I need to find a place to mount one connect box to my wall. But, that will be a good advantage for the people who doesn't have pre-wired. The Q90 only support HDMI 2.0 not HDMI 2.1. On the color, HDMI 2.1 supports BT.2020 and 16 bits per color. This is the same as HDMI 2.0, hence, you should not feel anything different from color. But, HDMI 2.1 support 48Gbps and HDMI 2.0 only support 24Gbps. For most of people, you will not feel anything between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1, unless you want to send their 4K TVs native 120fps material (not sure if Q90 support or not), or their 8K TVs 60fps material (Q90 is not supported). It also supports Wifi and has ethernet port, and USB ports. The Samsung Q90 delivers good picture quality right out of the gate. I did the internet research, the Q90 combination of a direct LED backlight, highly effective local dimming, and the new Ultra Black Elite filter results in images with exceptional contrast. The picture quality is much better than my older TV (5-6 years old). With HDR feature, this is best quality I have seen to date. It is a smart TV, it has many apps build-in, you can streaming Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and Youtube from TV directly. You can watch 4K video directly using those apps, you don't need to have external box. Overall, this is best TV I have seen right now, my family is also like it a lot. We watch 4K video from Netflix, it give me complete different feeling compare to my old TV. If you are looking for best picture quality, this is the one you can put on your list.

Excellent Picture Quality - with proper input

This 82" Q90 series TV is a replacement for a 4+ year-old 75" Sony 800 series model that was experiencing a progressive LCD panel failure. With 4K input (either streaming or from 4K HD player) the picture quality on the Q90 TV is significantly better than what we experienced with the Sony, particularly as to the picture detail and the vibrant colors and contrast. The viewing angle for the Q90 is very good for an LCD panel - and definitely better than our old Sony. With lesser quality input (e.g., Spectrum cable TV or a regular DVD) the picture quality is roughly the same as the Sony, albeit with a brighter screen on the Q90. Because of the extra detail available on the Q90, some lesser quality inputs actually look worse than on our old Sony, but that situation is more of a comment on the source material, than a mark against the Q90. In addition, the sound quality from the Q90 TV is quite good for a flat screen TV with little apparent distortion at moderately high volumes - not good enough to do away with the surround sound system for movie watching, but certainly adequate for most TV shows and sporting events. The One Connect box that comes with the Q90 made the TV mounting and cable connection process significantly easier than with other TV's. As much as we like this TV, it is a significant investment and may not be within the price range that most consumers will want to spend. We are certainly hoping that we get many, many years of use out of our Q90 - a lengthy life on this TV would make the cost much more palatable.

One of the most highly rated TV on the internet! I woke up the day after I bought it with a bit of buyers remorse. I was like, WHAT DID I DO?? I walked into the living room and my wife was happily sitting in front of the TV with the remote in her hand. She runs and says to me, "This TV is AWESOME!" No more remorse. We easily added all our apps, accounts and made a day of watching our new TV. It lives up to the reputation. The picture quality is amazing. The smart interface is very intuitive and easy to use. Some people knock it for the brightness but I simply turned it down a notch. Gamers beware, this TV does make it easier to see details and find enemies in the shadows.

I was torn between the 77" LG C9 or the 82" Samsung Q90R. I went with Samsung, and couldn't be happier! Samsung has really stepped up their game in the QLED space and designed a TV that is capable of keeping up with, and out perform, well known/high quality OLED TVs. The Q90R has amazing picture quality that produces vivid/vibrant colors (as you would expect from a QLED), but is also capable of creating very dark, deep, blacks as well. Picture quality and clarity is not sacrificed based on your viewing angle. Unlike older Samsung QLED TVs that lose their image quality/clarity when viewing the screen from a side angle, the Q90R does NOT succumb to the same issue. Images are displayed very clearly while viewing the screen from just about any angle, including a side view, similar to that of an OLED TV. The automatic adjustment the TV makes to FreeSync (VRR) the moment I turn on my Xbox One X is also a plus! The ambient mode also makes this TV stand out instead of displaying your typical black screen. Mounting my TV against the wall using Samsung's "No Gap" wall mount (82" requires 2x mounting brackets, both of which are included when you purchase the Samsung wall mount) was the BEST decision I made for this TV! My living room almost feels like a movie theater watching a movie from the TV. However, the only disappointments I have with this TV is that it doesn't support HDMI 2 1, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos. I wish it did because it would've "future-proofed" my TV investment (reason why I couldn't give a perfect 5 Star rating on Value). Outside of those items mentioned, I absolutely love my Q90R and couldn't be happier!

Pros: - Picture Quality (near OLED black levels) - Design - Tizen OS - One Connect Box Cons: - Price - Tizen OS I purchased the Q90R mainly because I wanted near OLED black levels without having to purchase an OLED and worrying about burn-in. Also, the Q90R is the last of the Samsung higher end QLEDs that have dimming zone count of 400+. This TV is replacing the Sony X900F 75-inch in the great room.

Went in for the Q7, but went with the Q9.. This has the best reflective screen for rooms with a lot of sunlight, it has the one connect box, and I didn’t even have to touch the colors.. it was calibrated perfectly. You def need two people to lift it in the stand. Thanks Trevor for making me get the better model. It took a couple weeks for them to deliver it, but it was a Black Friday and holiday season, so it is what it is. Very happy so far. The Sony may have slightly deeper blacks, but if the screen has so much glare you can’t see what’s the point. Went with the Samsung because of the most reflective screen in the end.

I've had this TV about a month and it has an amazing picture, especially in Movie mode if you're in a dark room like I am with the drapes closed. If you're in a bright room, I like the Natural mode. I had Geek Squad install and they did a great job with everything! I am using it with a Tivo Mini w/antenna, 4K Apple TV, 4K disc player, and PS4 Pro and the picture is just amazing! The one connect box makes connections or a possible HDMI cable replacement a breeze! I use this TV as my display in a small theater so I have surround sound but the sound quality from the TV is really good, so if you don't have the space for a surround sound system you might be happy with the built-in speakers. Samsung TV+ channels are there and a lot of different streaming apps are available too, it can also integrate antenna channels with the Samsung TV+ channels in the built-in guide. I compared this TV to OLED's but sometimes I like to have the drapes open (like when watching sports in the afternoon) so I decided the QLED would be better for my use. The black levels on this TV are really close to OLED (even in a dark room) and it gets brighter so HDR looks great! I highly recommend this TV.

I bought this on 7-7-20 and received on 7-23-20. The tv that I received had a bad display panel, characterized by fine horizontal crossing the entire screen. Best buy ordered a replacement that arrived on 8-8-20. The tv is what i had hoped for because it is located in a bright room with many windows and a reflection coming from a lake. The glare on my previous tv made it impossible to watch. Best Buy was good about swapping the units out but I still had a defective 82 inch tv taking up space in my den for 2 and 1/2 weeks. they were good about bringing it in the house and placing it in the den which is right next to the front door. I am in my mid 70's I really expected buying (what might be) buying my last TV to be a bit easier. It is bulky and weighs 125 pounds

This 2019 model I just purchased after many months of research is better in my opinion that the replacement made in 2020. It is well built and performs perfectly. I am well pleased. This picture is television beyond excellent. I will also note that expert reviewers of well known sources place this model above the 2020 model. There are not many left. You also must be careful were you buy from because there are quite a few inferior copy cat versions claiming to be this television. This is the main reason I purchased at Best Buy for their reputation over many years of doing business with them and their tech. support(The Geek Squad) is all that it is made out to be, I am a satisfied customer and will continue to be so even if it costs a little more. The old saying "you get what you pay for" applies.

Great TV. Bright, vivid, and no glare. I'm coming from a 65" X850D which is also 4k but this 82" Q90 seems like a complete step up. The X850 had pretty bad glare which is why I started looking for new TVs. I'm not sure if it is the top coating or just the brightness but I don't get ANY reflections anymore. The only negatives are that this thing is super heavy and the audio could be better. I've also had 2 instances since I bought it last month where there was no sound when I turned the TV on. A quick power off power on fixed it.
