Good TV overall compared to other brands but I can see the backlight popping out near the corners of the screen when I’m watching a dark scene in a movie/show but I do love the tv. I might have to upgrade in a year or so to a OLED

I've gone through three of the 85" Q70D's. Each time I received one, as soon as they're in use I get an odd glow or clound primarily around the edges. It's as if the back lights are not evenly lighting the panels. It's really obvious on the screen when the background is solid black. By the third one I received it was obvious it wasn't a fluke.
Best buy staff was top notch on ensuring I was taken care of, but this TV isn't worth the price tag.

If the picture you’re seeing is still not to your liking after updating firmware, there are several picture settings you may want to try adjusting.
Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode ...and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments 2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments 3. Eco: Provided to save energy 4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room 5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Intelligent Mode enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Intelligent Mode Settings > Intelligent Mode.

Worth every penny. I am not even going to lie, this was a purchase that I hesitated on for the life of me. But am so glad that I actually went ahead and got it for myself. For my bedroom nonetheless lol!!! Everytime I have a friend, coworker, family member see it, the reactions always WOW, and the picture definitley shows for it. I love watching the highest quality videos I can find. The detail is just wonderful

Great picture, bright colors. Smart search could be better it doesn't always find the results even when I know the title is on one streaming service. Sound could be better for the built in TV speakers. I purchased a soundbar to go with it. Overall good tv. Would recommend

Very good experience overall the TV works very, very well. Very crisp works on their several lighting conditions and on top of that the delivery was very good. Have no complaints. Best Buy like to do reviews to get a chance to win a $400 gift card I doubt I’ll win it but at least the TV is good.

Screen failed and sound is bad. Found that the sound was objectively an issue and they became combative with me although they had a sound card with them. 4 x came out. Will not refund because thhy want 2 successful repairs. Technician keeps coming out sees the sound at 60 and says its that way washed out and needs CC to understand the dialogue. Whatever killed the screen and sound will fail after warranty. Would not recommend Samsung for service and if you get a bad product it will be you that eats the costs. PS I could not find a bad review anywhere. Seems to be scrubbed
