Customers highly value the large screen size, USB-C connectivity with charging capabilities, and the immersive curved display of the A650 Series monitor. Many appreciate the smooth refresh rate and the adjustable stand, while some experienced issues with dead pixels upon arrival. The picture-in-picture feature is also a highlight for multitasking.

I have been using this monitor for the past few days. I liked what I have seen until now except for the placement of the buttons. The buttons are at the bottom and it is cumbersome to use those.

Good monitor for the price and it goes on sale a lot. It has replaced 3 smaller ones for WFH. My 12 year old set it up, so it’s very easy to open and get set up. I like the opening for the cable in the back of the stand too.

Overall this is a great monitor. But for the pricepoint, there is not a significant difference between this model and others for $100 less.

I am a website developer and content manager and routinely work with 3-4 windows open. I really wanted this monitor to be able to run two windows side-by-side (two websites) and be able to work on both. Unfortunately, doing so on this monitor feels like I'm working with two laptop screens. Small work area on both sides and definitely not what I was hoping for. In addition, I find that trying to read text on this screen is difficult. Text on a website, an email, or a Word doc isn't very crisp and clear. Eye fatigue for sure. I've tried various settings but can't get it dialed in for my purposes. This monitor is going to make my tweener daughter very happy while she plays Roblox on her computer. What a huge waste of money. I'd LOVE to return this, but Best Buy's return window is incredibly small. I just purchased Samsung's larger version of this monitor from a competitor who offers a 90-day return policy.

Arrived with 2 dead pixels and a dust particle behind the screen. Also, even with the brightness setting on highest it's low. Not recommended for gaming, in my opinion.

Packaging was minimal but protective. I like that is only 1 box, not a box in a box in a box. Less packing material to break down and recycle. Design is unassuming and would work well in office spaces or at home. Side and top bezels are very thin. The stand is heavy and seems premium, I’m using it with a monitor arm and it works well with that. Includes HDMI and USB C cables. The usb c cable is a bit short for my setup. The controls are intuitive and in an easy to access location (at the bottom of the monitor under the Samsung logo). The screen is bright enough for me to use in a room with lots of natural light. This monitor uses a VA panel, which I haven’t had before. The display is very bright, there is minimal light bleed, and no dead pixels. The eye comfort settings are a nice touch, and easy to access quickly with the control buttons. The usb hub is a great feature of this monitor. I’m able to keep a usb keyboard/mouse receiver plugged into the monitor and just connect the usb c cable to my MacBook Air. Then, when I switch to another computer, I just need move the usb c cable. The biggest bonus with the hub is that there is an ethernet port. I haven’t seen a monitor before that had this built in. The only issue I have with the usb c connection is that is puts out 90 watts of power. One of my laptops requires 100 watts to charge, so I do have to keep that laptop connected to its own charger. Headphone jack is really nice to have, but is in an odd location on the back of the monitor. I would prefer it a bit lower and more to the side. Initially I was worried that the curve was too severe. First sitting in front of the monitor and moving windows around was really strange. But, after a couple of hours I do not notice that anymore and I think that the curve really helps with moving your eyes around such a large screen.

I was extremely excited when this monitor came out about a month ago. But was met with disappointment and had to return it first day. Its unacceptable for a new monitor to have a single dead pixel but this monitor arrived with 5, 2 on the top left and 3 all over. Im a technical support agent so this is completely unacceptable. $800 for a broken monitor, i will never buy samsung again, i will be looking at LG a brand that prides itself on quality.

As with many people, I’ve been working from home since the start of the pandemic. I’ve been looking to upgrade to a larger monitor to accommodate my needs which primarily includes spreadsheets, trading software (a lot of graphs), some photo editing in Lightroom and maybe an occasional game with the kids. I also use both a Mac and a PC, so ideally, if I can split the screen and run 2 different laptops, that would be great! The Samsung A650 monitor was surprisingly simple to setup. All I had to do was screw in 1 screw on the base plate into the vertical mount. From there, the monitor clipped onto the arm very easily. The monitor is height adjustable as well as left and right pivot. The bezel surrounding the monitor is fairly thin and clean looking. In the back are 3 video connections: HDMI, USB-C and display port (HDMI and USB-C cables are included). The USB-C also puts out 90W, so not only will this be an input to the monitor, it will also charge your laptop! It’s always nice to reduce additional cables! The monitor also serves as a hub, there are 3 USB ports, a network connection and a headphone jack. It’s a nice feature to have, again, to keep the wire clutter to a minimum. I was able to connect my laptop to the monitor using the USB-C cable. Note, make sure you don’t have any dongles or adapters, the USB-C or HDMI should plug in directly to your laptop. Initially, I had a USB-C adapter in between my laptop and monitor, I wasn’t getting the resolution and refresh rate topped out at 24hz. Once connected properly, the monitor looks beautiful! The curved shape of the monitor is very nice looking, I can see all the charts and graphs without turning my head back and forth as much. I was able to connect my Mac to the HDMI cable as well, using the menu, I split the screen in half. So now I can use the Mac for LIghtroom, imessages and email and the PC for my charting software and spreadsheets. Overall, there’s a lot I like about this monitor, the USB hub, network connection, 90W USB-C are great features. I found the image quality to be excellent for everything I used it for. I wish there was a KVM switch built in so I can use the same mouse and keyboard with both laptops. Not a deal breaker as I can easily add a KVM switch or purchase a keyboard and mouse that can switch between 2 computers. I would also have liked to see software that automatically tiles open applications to the monitor. Even without these 2 features, the Samsung 34” curve is an excellent choice for anyone looking to get a larger screen!

This is a large monitor, I won't lie and you'll want a desk that you can properly position the monitor. Assuming you have the space, this is a great monitor. Stand is sturdy and is easily adjustable. Connection via DP port was a snap with my work system and I was off and running I enjoy the curve and the fact at this size everything is very easy to view, either in side by side or one large document. I am loving it. Honestly if you have the space this is definitely the monitor to get.

Is this an expensive monitor? Yes. Is it worth it. I think so. This thing is great. The picture quality is bar none. VERY clear and crisp. The color and black levels are very accurate, and there are many settings that you can change to tweak it to your liking. I haven't noticed any dead pixels. Features: Many different inputs/outputs on this monitor. HDMI and USB C are going to be the most commonly used. I LOVE the power through the USB C port. I use a MacBook with this, and it is one cable between the monitor and MacBook to provide video AND it charges the MacBook from the monitors own power. This cuts down on cords needed when docking. There is also a built in USB hub on the back of the monitor. You can plug in devices to the monitor, and it acts as a hub and will connect them to the computer via USB C (or another standalone cable if your computer doesn't support USB C video). This is very handy. This monitor has cut down on many cables, and a hub that I used to use. Stand: Well built and feels very solid. It is adjustable with height and pivot. Feels very sturdy, and has a built in strap to help with cable management. Overall, I love this thing. Very well built with high picture quality and lots of features.
