I read mixed reviews, but thought what the heck! Its a Samsung. I was confused about not having a agitator and all. Does the job, and does it well. Clothes come out clean, and smell great. Quiet machine. Little long on some cycles. Wife loves the sink option. I am a lil let down this one does not have the steam option, but it was worth not blowing $500 bucks for it. We bought the set, wifie loves them. They scratch REALLY easy, so be careful. A button on a oair of jeans got it. I like the techie part of them, wife likes the function, and modern look.

My wife and I simply love our new washer and dryer set. From the super capacity, to the variety of options, to the pre-wash tub, to the steam de-wrinkler, this set does everything we could have hoped for and more!

My wife is loving the top load large capacity of this washer (5 cubic feet), however we have not had an opportunity to fully test it as it came defective...the hot water connector was stripped, so we are waiting for the technicians to repair the machine. Sad, but the connector is plastic so I guess this happens. Just glad it was the Best Buy staff trying to install this and not me on my own...it would have been much more frustrating to have to make a lot of calls to get this dealt with. Best Buy took the lead on getting it repaired and even looked at issues with our recently purchased refrigerator (also from Best Buy) while they were out.

We got an awesome deal when this set went on sale! This washer is gigantic. I'm 5'3" and definitely need a stool to reach the bottom of the tub. Thrilled to have a top load again. Can't wait to wash our king size comforter! I love all the features! Best Buy delivery was top notch. Keep in mind you will have to purchase the hoses, dryer vent, and electrical cord with "free" delivery.

We used the previous washing machine for about 10 years. Then, we had a water leaking problem lately, which probably was caused by the wear and tear of the rotating mechanism. We are hoping the new load balancing mechanism will help reducing the wear and tear at the rotating mechanism so that we will be able to use it longer.

Pros: quiet, nice looking, large capacity, items come out clean (even large loads), best feature (at least for me as a pet owner) is the ability to rinse items in the tub area before washing. HE washers use less water which doesn't always work well for loads that need to rinse out mud or cat urine. I can do that now right at my washer before starting a load on it's merry way and I don't have to run the items thru 6 cycles to get enough water thru them.
Cons: my previous Electrolux allowed me to modify any setting on a predetermined cycle and then reset to factory if I so chose. I kinda miss that ability, although I must confess I haven't fully investigated the 'my cycle' feature, a couple of people in the family cannot reach to the bottom of the tub to take out the washed items (bonus for me as it's not a problem for this tall girl with the long arms AND it keeps others from using my washer which is just fine by me)

We bought this washer after reading several online reviews of washers in the same category. This was a replacement for a front load washer. We've been very happy with the performance of the washer so far and would recommend it highly. It seems relatively quiet, large capacity, relatively easy to learn the controls, seems to get the clothes very clean.

Purchased this washer a little more than a month ago to replace a Whirlpool unit that lasted over twenty years! We have six people in our family, and needed a hulk of a washer. This Samsung's 5.0 cubic foot capacity called to us like a siren song. Having installed and run the washer for the better part of a month, I must say, it performs as advertised. The machine runs as quietly as a teenager sneaking through a bedroom window. In fact, it runs so quietly that the wife and I sometimes stare disconcertingly at this marvel of modernity, wondering how it actually cleans our garments. The machine has no agitator you see, so I can only assume that laundry gnomes or an army of nanobots floods the compartment from some hidden chamber, microscopically removing debris and odor from our clothes. As previously mentioned, the bowl has enough room for a grown man to bathe. I read the reviews concerning previous models of this washer going, how shall I say...KABOOM; but Samsung promises they fixed that problem and that I will not lose any limbs operating the machine, and that works for me. At least until I lose a finger doing laundry, at which time I will return to this review to annihilate Samsung with nine finger whimsical wordy scorn. Anyhow, the machine works, gets our whites white, our colors colorful, and removes even grotesquely offensive odors like foul funk of teenage sports practice gear. Get one yourself, do some laundry. Good day.

I wish I had purchased this sooner, I have boys who play sports and this would have saved hours on time spent doing laundry. This washer is the absolute best. Huge size and no agitator means that I spend less time doing laundry! Often I had to wash things a second time or have many, many smaller loads with my old machine. But this baby is awesome and does a great job. It is quiet, has lots of choices for wash cycles (without being overly complicated) but the main thing is that it gets the job done the first time! The sink feature for pre wash soaking is also great, saves water and keeps mess to a minimum. Love, love, love it!

My previous washing machine that I had for 12 finally decided to start breaking... Was time for an upgrade!! Went to Best Buy in Newport News, and had fantastic help! The unit was on sale of $300 off! Had it installed and it is the best Washing Machine. It is an HE top loader so there is no agitator. It cleans soooo much better than my old washing machine that had the agitator. It is super quiet and it plays music when it is done. The tub is super big, so it fits our needs well. The only downside to this washing machine is that the tub is so big and deep, heightly challenged people will have an issue getting their clothes at the bottom. Luckily I was blessed with enough height that I am good. Otherwise a great buy!!

Purchased this washer to replace our awful Whirlpool, which died after only 4 years and $600+ in repair costs. While we weren't sold on the flat controls at first, they are easy to use and clear. The ActiveWash basin works well for pre-treating or soaking items before dumping them in the tub.
Overall, washing multiple loads, including heavily soiled pet items, jeans, blankets, bedding, etc., the machine gets the clothes clean, without adding any additional cleaners or other additives in. We used to add Borax and Oxi Clean in, but with this machine, we haven't had to.
A few things to note:
1 - the wash basin protrudes out, so if you're reaching in to get clothes, be mindful of this. It might seem trivial, but if you're used to leaning over and digging down to grab everything, you might end up hitting your head on the underside. Also, the basin changes the weight of the lid, so be sure it's all the way up and stable before reaching down.
2 - The machine is quiet during most of the cycle. The loudest portion of the cycle is the drain sequence. If you've got it in a laundry room, you probably won't notice that.
3 - Some of the controls are counter intuitive IMO. The machine while running will blink the cycle and the start/pause button. Some might think this is paused, but it is not. Also, the sound off button illuminates when no sound is on. It seems better suited to be on when the chime is active, and off when it is silent.
Overall, I'd recommend this washer to anyone. With the 5-year protection plan, I don't doubt it'll last and do a great job washing for the foreseeable future.

The washer is very quiet and cleans well. I've actually had to look with a flashlight to see if it was running. I was a little worried at first when I saw how little the clothes appear to move compared to a traditional washer with an agitator, but so far it has done a great job cleaning everything. It barely covers the clothes with water. The cycles take a bit longer than older washers, but I can fit at least twice as many things in each load.

This LG washer is great. Plenty of room. Gets clothes clean and spins out most of water for shorter time in dryer. Had front load washer. Will never do that again. Too much maintenance.
I see some reviews complain about front button controls. No problems here. Very easy to use. Kids 7 and up wash own clothes.

I'm In Love With A Washer!!

After much research and store shopping I decided on this washer and am SO glad I did. I LOVE it!! One feature that made the decision for me was the little soak/wash sink. I have used it four times in the month I've had it and it's a big convenience for me not having to run from the bathroom after soaking or washing something to the laundry room for the dryer. There are a lot of choices for different wash cycles which I love because I wash a lot of different types of fabric and clothes. There is one minor thing that you should know. I am 5' 1" and can reach the laundry in the front but not the back or I'll fall in! So I bought a little "picker upper" and have solved my problem. I love too the fact that I can wash 8-10 pair of jeans or the same amount of towels at the same time! What a blessing!! I can empty my whole hamper in at once where before it was two loads. You will definitely be thrilled with this washer. I certainly am! This was an upgrade to the previous model and just a tiny bit more but worth every penny. I just LOVE it!! You will too!

Our previous GE washer lasted only 5yrs until it started sounding like a space ship taking off. It was so loud during wash and horrible during the spin cycle. We called our insurance and they gave us a check to buy a new one. thankfully we got more than what we paid for the old one.
Checked BB online for ones that are quiet during the wash. this one had 5 stars. I read only a few reviews and my decision was made up, i just needed to make sure it fits. Ordered it before the price went up (got it for $649) and couldn't be happier. BB installed it really quick and hauled the old junk away. We started about 3 loads that day and we didn't even know the first loan was done. Our work slacks came out clean and no soap residue like our previous one would leave and actually kinda dry. Our previous washer the clothes would come out a lot more damp than they did with this one. it really spun out the water. hung dry and they were completely dry by the morning.
It's a great washer no doubt. great energy saver.

I got this washer to replace my recalled Samsung washer. It is very quiet. The only real complaint I have so far is that the washer becomes unbalanced pretty easily when washing bedding, even on the bedding cycle. The built-in basin is a nice add to treat the kids' clothes before washing.

I have had this washer and dryer for about a month. So far, it works great. I like the large capacity. It seems to take longer to wash than my old washer, but gets everything clean. I am average height and have trouble getting all the loose items out of the bottom.
