I was on a path to removing gas appliances in my house, I knew a friend that needed a washer and dryer so I gave them my 14 year old set and set out to find the best electric option. My wife goes along with my plans to be more energy efficient and reduce emissions, but only if it doesn't mess with what she needs to do. This was one of the only standalone, full size heat pump dryers on the market I could find and based off a good review from someone online I decided to give it a try I've had it for 8 months now and while there have been a couple days where it did something weird like ended a cycle early, all the other times it works perfectly. I even changed it from the default "normal" setting to "eco" with a lower temperature and it will still dry a full load of laundry in 60-90 minutes (presuming the spin cycle on the washer got the majority of the water out). Usually closer to 60 minutes The lint trap is a little harder to clean than my old dryer but it has three layers of traps to keep the heat exchanger clean. There's a little door at the bottom you can use to clean the heat exchanger without tearing the machine apart which is a nice touch. I haven't really needed to clean it yet but its nice having the option. And the major thing is: my wife doesn't complain

i took a chance and went for it picked the heat pump dryer and matching washer because my 5yr old Samsung washer and dryer were working fine but when i started checking the energy usage i was like OMG just about 6kw per load +/- i had to do something but I've been researching heat pump dryers for weeks and yes all were energy efficient but took a really long time to dry ,,, then i find these Samsung Bespoke models they're a hybrid heat pump so there is a small 1200w heater in there as well but max load is only 14amps and i could not be happier, when i started the dryer it said it would be almost 2hours but was done barely over an hour perfectly dry and so quiet and the app notifies me when its done ..... so if energy efficiency is a concern Samsung nailed with this ... Flippin expensive even on sale with $1100 of both but i think it will pay for it self over time and i will probably order the pedestal's for them before build the cabinet over top

We’ve had this dryer for about a month and have been thrilled with it. 1) It drys clothes very well. We’ve never had a load come out damp or need to be rerun. The sensors do their job and it just works. 2) It takes a little longer than our old gas dryer. ~90 minutes vs ~70. We usually run it in eco mode which uses just the heat pump with no extra electric heat. This takes about 2.5 hours and saves about 0.5 kWh per load. 3) It’s really, really energy efficient. ~1.3 kWh per load in eco mode and ~1.8 in regular. We switched from gas and we easily expect the cost savings will pay for the difference in price for the heat pump model, even though we live in a cheap gas/expensive electricity state. 4) It’s gentler on clothes as evidenced by how little lint it produces. Even with a double screen, extra fine lint filter, there’s very little material after each load. The filter is modestly more work to clean than a standard single filter, in part because there’s usually not enough lint for it to come off easily in a sheet. 5) Controls are easy to use and I like having the app to alert me when a cycle is done. You can also track energy usage in the app, which is nice if you like to nerd out about these things. I was nervous about getting a heat pump dryer after reading about some of the tradeoffs with older models. I’m happy to report that this unit delivers great performance and great efficiency without any real compromise.

I have this Bespoke washer and dryer set. Both have broken within the first year. I have an extended warranty, so I suggest that if you do decide to buy these, you get the warranty. This dryer lint tray is extremely fragile. Mine ripped and had to be replaced within the first couple of months and we have to be extremely careful when cleaning it. Which, by the way, you’ll be doing all the time. It has to be cleaned and washed regularly. Also make sure to keep the bottom filter clean. It’s a lot of maintenance to keep it going. What I like is the app will tell you when the dryer is done and the water from the heat pump drains out to where my washer drains (you’ll need to ask for this during installation). It is a little bit noisier than I’d expected, but quieter than other dryers I’ve had. I really want to love this set, but they are poorly made.

5 stars for dryer. Fantastic & VENTLESS. My dryer vented under the house and was to far away to the exterior wall, so I needed it. It takes a little getting used to because of the way it’s drained. I wish the BB guys who delivered it hooked up the water drainage hose to go into the drain but they didn’t, and I didn’t know it was an option until way after they left. So I’ll have to do it. Otherwise it’s like a regular dryer. Great drying options, it’s better than my old one. Took forever to get here. Kept getting delayed. So keep on them. No way to communicate to Samsung manufacturer's if the store or customer to wants to know if it’s actually coming or not, so have a plan B. - stars for Samsung’s lack of communication.

I buy both washer and dryer AI set. The ventless feature is a game changer. Run quickly and quietly and my laundry smells fresher than ever. Bespoke appliances have spoken. FANTASTIC!!

This was a great purchase. I love that it notifies you when the cycle is complete.

This dryer has exceeded expectations at least so far. It uses very little energy and we haven’t noticed significantly longer dryer times compared to our previous natural gas dryer. It is a very pretty appliance as well. It is also very quiet. Would definitely recommend especially if you are trying to move away from natural gas.

Don't be scared by the extra time, it takes longer than a normal dryer, but I am very happy with it. My only criticism is the lint screen is a bit harder to clean out because of its shape, but that is because it is actually sealed very well and does a good job catching all the lint.

DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER! It never worked. Samsung has the worst customer service. I could never get a human so I went through a 2 hour robo call. Item still didn't work. Nothing changed. Finally found actual human at Samsung. They made me redo the entire test I had already done. It still didn't work. Had to wait weeks for service guy to come out. He couldn't fix it. Still took forever for Samsung to respond to it not working. They sent the guy out again. Complete board was shot and the new board never worked either. I told them I had a brand new dryer never worked and it had been months since I had a working dryer. Had to take laundrymat and pay to have clothes cleaned. I will never buy a single Samsung product again. Not only was the product worthless but the way they treat their customers is horrendous.

I love that a ventless dryer option was available for this samsung model. I never tried a ventless dryer before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Everything comes out completely dry, and it looks really nice with the matching washer.

Defective machine. Constant water tank errors. Had two delivered and both had same error. Tried for a third delivery and Best Buy decided that they weren’t going to install the machine because they believed it has the same issues. So I waited for a delivery , they showed up and the install never happened. Seems as though the installation guys make the decision if they install or not. Best Buy Sucks! Go elsewhere

It's unclear if the dryer is the issue or if Best Buy installed it incorrectly. As soon as the installation crew left and I tried to run a cycle, the dryer stopped running after a couple minutes with a "empty tank" message. There was nothing in the tank. This has continued even after resetting the machine and troubleshooting. Best Buy has been absolutely terrible in trying to arrange repair and replacement. Geek Squad drops calls constantly.

First, power it uses 2kwh vs 4 kwh but that is only $0.28 per load. It will take nearly 5,000 loads to recoup its purchase price. A normal load is only 20 minutes slower or 1 hr and 20 mins. Now on a load of blankets,towels, and other heavy stuff it took 3 hours. My monthly savings on electricity are only about $1, and even if it were $2 that would still be 700 months to recoup the purchase price. The clothes were dry and capacity is actually 0.7 cubic larger than my old drier. The drier can drain into a pipe or floor drain is handy, and the ventless feature is nice. For a couple loads per week its great. If you do a lot of laundry the extra drying time might be difficult for a large family. If you frequently need to do a large number of blankets and towels, that took me 3 hours, that could be a deal killer for you.

I purchased this unit because I am looking for a larger heat-pump type dryer for my 100% electric home. There are not a lot on the market, but I am glad Samsung made this. I've had this unit for about 3 months now. I've thrown comforters in, large blankets, and sheets, and this unit has never had a problem with drying them. This is a 240V unit, but it does not pull over 2kW, or about ~8 amps (and even then, only for about 3 minutes or so) on a 240V circuit. On average, this unit consumes 500W, which is REALLY REALLY good. For those of you who are not technical, in California, this costs anywhere from 10 cents to 30 cents for a VERY large load. Depending on how much load you put in there, it adjusts the time it requires, anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours (if you have a lot of large, damp bedding/sheets). Keep the vent clean and this unit will serve you well. Highly recommended.

Love the heat pump dryer...saves on energy and dries well! Help the planet...buy one!
