Many years ago, I purchased the Tab S2 9.7 along with the official Samsung Book Cover. It is solid and sturdy with a powerful magnet that holds the cover closed and maintain rigidity while in its folded forms (2 of them). For last years Tab S4, Samsungs book cover has its pros, but mostly its mostly mediocre and only because the pen holder hasn't failed (yet). Pros - for starters, this years Tab S doesn't have the gromets that snap onto the cover. It holds onto the tablet like a frame, you tuck the corners into it and it press-fits by friction. This also shields, somewhat, the corners from any bumps from knicks or scratches, unlike the S2's. It is somewhat lighter than the S2's and has a removeable S-Pen cradle/holder. A lot of reviews mention that the pen falls out all of the time, but I haven't experienced that yet. I feel that those reviewers weren't pushing it in far enough to feel the snap that grabs onto the pen. It probably takes about five pounds of force to pull it out. There is also a cutout for the camera that was lacking on the S2's cover. None of the ports (usb/speakers/microSD), buttons, or speakers are blocked so access to them is right on and you can experience the beautiful sound as it should be. Cons - the case is lighter because it is flimsy. The S2's case was sturdy because it had a nice piece of sheet metal inside. This one doesn't. The magnets break contact at the slightest of movement while in its folded form, and there is only one option for folding it. The magnets do not hold the cover closed because there is no second flap that folds over to adhear the magnets (might be a pro for some). It is still expensive, moreso than all of the other options that advertise better protection. For my use case, it will be on my desk at work or in my hands at home. I'm not planning on using this tablet whilist on the go. I hope that I don't drop it anytime at all and I hope that the cover will last the many years as did the S2's Book Cover. Time will tell. BTW - I connected a USB-C adapter that is an HDMI 4K/SD/MicroSD/USB3.0 hub which is what is displayed on the monitor to the left. Dex is awesome.

I'm a big fan of Samsung. From TV to laptops and tablets and always happy with the products until now. I just recently purchased a Tab S4 and its genuine cover. While I'm happy with the tablet, however, its cover is a disappointment. Very flimsy, feels cheap and looks cheap. The magnet is weak, couldn't hold tablet steady, it constantly collapsed, especially while using tablet in bed. Only 2 positions are available. The pen's holder sucks, regardless which end I tried to insert, pen always dropped. I guarantee you'll loose the pen if you are not paying attention to it. Compared to my Tab S cover which I'm still using it occasionally, this one is not even close or worth it. For the price close to $50 including tax, it's wayyy overpriced. I think I'll have to buy a compatible one for a 1/3 of the price and it would work much better than this. Lesson learned. Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND.

Bought this to go with my Tab S4. If fits my Tab S4 perfectly. It protects the corners amid bank. One minor problem is the book cover only had one good way to support the tablet in streams mode. With the tablet in the lowest support mode, it's hard to reach the volume & power button because it is under the tablet in the sport mode.

Cheap, elegant and sturdy. Can protect fro impacts and rain. Easy to carry and some room for papers or document. It’ll protect against scratches, but not so much against drops. The front cover stays over your tablet when not in use, protecting the screen, and it can be folded back behind the tablet into a stand for easy video watching.

Personally, I don't see why some others are so upset about this case, aside from the price point. Honestly, I don't agree with the price point; and the only reason I bought it was because it was on sale for $50 and I had $15 in rewards. So for my price of $35, its fantastic. Case looks and feels great, and the pen holder is a nice touch too. For those who said the pen falls out, all you have to do is push the pen in until you fee/hear a click, then boom. Stays in and doesn't move. Overall, a good buy, so long as you get it on sale.

Good cover for the tab S4. Love the pen holder. It actually holds the pen securely. It fits well and can use the tablet standing up on its side. Great choice, worth the money!

FOR THE ABSORBENT PRICE OF $69 BUCKS WHICH I THINK IS INSANE CONSIDERING THE PRICE OF THE TABLET, IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED FOR FREE. WHEN USED IN THE LANDSCAPE POSITION FOR WATCHING VIDEOS. YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE OF THE TABLETS WEIGHT AND THE WAY THE COVER IS DESIGNED OFFERS VERY LITTLE SUPPORT. THE TABLET IS HEFTY AND HAS A TENDENCY TO TOPPLE BACKWARDS WITH THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH. IF YOU DECIDE TO USE THE TABLET HAND HELD THERE IS NO MAGNET OR ANYTHING TO SECURE THE FRONT COVER FLAP ONCE YOU FOLD IT BACKWARDS. ITS JUST THERE LOOSE AND SHIFTING SIDE TO SIDE. A REAL LOUSY IMPLEMENTATION FOR SUCH AN EXPENSIVE BOOK COVER. THE FAMOUS TAB S 2 , TAB S 3 BOOKCASE COVERS ARE FANTASTIC, SAMSUNG NEEDS TO BRING BACK THE MAGNETIC CONCEPT USED IN THOSE COVERS. CONSIDERING THE FUNCTIONALITY AND PRICE POINT WITH THE AVAILABLE OPTIONS ONLINE YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER FOR ABOUT $20 BUCKS I'M RETURNING MINE ASAP

Git the Samsung tablets so I bought this to hold the pen mainly but it also works great for sitting the tablet at a angle which is great and its a good protecter.

This cover is slim light weight has a pen holder holds the tablet up all the time.

I like how the pen has a magnetic connection to the pen holder so you dont accidentally drop and loose it. Its well made and a sleek design. Also enjoy not having to hold the tablet at a weird side angle due to the back leg support when you open the cover and put it to hold it at a landscape 90°angle.

I purchased this case, the Samsung keyboard case and a knock off cheap case on Amazon. I kept this Samsung case purchased from Best Buy as my go to case. Great fit, quality build, love the holder for the s-pen and the holder is removable. The only downside is that the case is pricey.

Fits better than the cheap ones on Amazon from 3rd party vendors and weighs a lot less. Doesn't show in pictures, but pen holder is removable if you don't want/need it.

The cover for Galaxy Tab S4 protects my tablet as it should. The availability of the pen is very convenient and the tablet is held firmly in place by 4 corner tabs. However, I liked the cover on my Tab A a little better especially when I had it propped up on my lap. It didn't collapse as this one does if you move around. I also think it was a bit pricey.

I really like this cover, many of these that fold around to make a stand don't support the tablet very well. This one has a very substantial feel and is a very good support stand for the tablet. It's great to have a place to keep the stylus.

Love the stylus pen holder. I love that is out of the way when not in use and that it stays securely on the cover. Maybe, keep this as an option over the magnet stylus holder. Great job with this. Sadly, my tablet, that fit that great cover, was defective and they had to replace it. . .and they didn't have the same tablet to replace it with. My new one is larger, so, goodby great cover. I also like how the tablet sits tightly in its own case. The one thing that could be improved on is: when I stood the tablet up, it didn't always stay up. It needs stickum, like the Galaxy Tab S5. I'm not sure I have the tablet # correct, but it is the last Samsung table I bought.

This cover provides good protection for the tablet. It also provides a place for the pen, allowing you to take the pen with you.

Samsung fixed this cover from the S3 which didn't stay on. This stays on perfectly and is a great feel to it. Also holds the pen.

There's no way I would ever have a tablet without some sort of protection. This one provides a slot for the S pen and also folds so you can watch movies or tv or even as a stand for you to type on.

The S4 fits right in and seems very secure and has nice holster for the pen. I think covers are a little expensive in general though.

Descent protection for the product. the Pen holder is very basic. The pen eventually starts to slip out more often. There is not a lot of resistance so it slides out in the backpack or briefcase. it would have been better with Elastic band such as some other products. It protects my product but I do have to manage the pen location and keep an eye on it.
