I have been eyeballing this phone for a while now. 1) It's 5G 2) It's unlocked 3) it's under an excellent midrange phone with flagship feature. I haven't had a Samsung phone since the Galaxy S3. Yes, it's been that long and there was nothing that could replace that phone. Pixel 4a 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. Both great phones both have almost the same internal hardware but the A52 has a slightly larger screen, a fast refresh rate, a microsd slot, an IP rating and a bigger battery. The downside so far is the camera. The A52 can't beat Google advance trickery. MP is not everything. Images on the A52 is softer and colors a bit on the cooler side. But I don't shoot with my phone. That's where my DSLR comes in. When paired with a glass screen protector, the in-glass finger printer reader is useless. It fails to read correctly every time. Even after setting it back up in the settings. The phone has a nice weight to it. The plastic back is a finger print magnet and at times can feel a bit slippery. Performance wise, it's good but not blazing fast like the SD888 or any prior SD chip. 6GB of ram is great for multitasking and the phone is able to put unused apps to sleep. I haven't notice any slow downs or stuttering. 128GB is plenty of storage for me. I usually backup my photos, if any, to google photos. 5G performance depends on your carrier. I have MintMobile as my carrier which uses the T-Mobile network. Outside speed test, I'm getting anywhere between 300-600Mbps down and about 40-60Mbps up. Indoor performance took a hit where I'm getting between 200-500Mbps. Your mileage will vary from building to building and if 5G is reliable in your area. You can disable 5G if your area does not have any. It'll save on battery life as well. I think one reviewer said there is not a way to turn off 5G. There is. The other reviewer probably didn't know the LTE is 4G LTE. Colors are accurate under normal mode, not vivid mode. The 120Hz screen is smooth but it does drain the battery. You can switch it to 60Hz. Battery life is great coming from a Pixel 3 owner. Under normally usage, I can go a whole day without charging. I have to get use to the Samsung UI3.1 interface. It's ok but it's not like the stock android experience that the Pixel phone has. Overall, a great midrange phone. Just hard to find during the chip storage. When I saw this in stock, I immediately placed an order at my local Best Buy. It's one of the better midrange phone out there.

    Good, but not the top

So far, I have only been playing with the camera, screen, internet, haven’t even put the SIM card in, want to see first if I like it enough or to return it ($45 charge). So far, it has been all good, but not the top - you are not getting S 21 or IPhone 13 - no, I compared this one with those - nope. Upgrading from an older J7, it’s a big step forward on the screen, camera, quicker response, etc. But the cons are - it is actually narrower than my old J7, and the screen is not 6.5 inch, as advertised, but rather around 6.2. The narrowness - I don’t like it. I measured IPhone 13 ProMax, and it is also not the official 6.67 across, but barely 6.5, but it is wider. My old J7 is truthfully 5.5, as listed. Seems like all manufacturers are now misleading on the sizes, by including the dead areas of the screen, not lit up. So, yes, very good mid range, fast, very good screen, camera and etc, no glitches encountered yet, other than unable Ng to transfer my old files - smart transfer by Samsung tells me there in not enough space on my old phone, but when I delete what it asks me to, it still shows up like the same amount of space is needed - that’s an app glitch, obviously. It’s worth the 400 I paid for it, not sure about 500. Yet if you want the top cameras, screen, size, etc, then go to up to something else. Battery seems very good.

Good phone for a Samsung. It has a good camera and can handle most apps. Video and picture quality is good. I like the case options and it’s a cheaper buy than the a53 if you want a Samsung.

Love my phone. Everything about this this phone has been A++ Takes excellent pics, has everything you want from and expect from a galaxy phone without a heafty price tag. I shattered my old pH and just wasn't ready to commit to a big purchase. I tried to hate this one. But I can't. I have a headphone jack and a micro SD slot so I don't have to rely on cloud storage. Two features no longer on the high end Galaxy phones. If you must have wireless charging, this phone isn't for you. Oh and the high end cinematography software is not included either. Most users will just love the photos it takes. And wireless charging is soo 4 phones ago..

My Samsung-Galaxy A52 5G mobile phone has been very good and easy to use once I learned most of what I needed to. However, recently, I thought I lost my camera pics because the "Camera" wording was lost from My Albums. Now, they are still there but in "Recent". I'm worried that eventually, I will lose them.

It was a good phone and it did what I needed it too. I bought it for a church mission trip and it worked great! It had its moments Where it was slow or glitchy, but that wasn’t very often. Camera was good and it gets the job done!

Ive had the phone for years and it has done me good for the price. Starting to slow down a little but thats expected for an older phone. Snap chat for some reason is really laggy for this phone but other than that 95% of my other apps run fine.

The price of the latest-and-greatest cell phones is getting so ridiculous that I wanted to look for a nice phone that wouldn't break-the-bank. While the A52 does not rate as high as other Samsung Galaxy models, it does everything I need it to do. So far, it's fast, takes nice pics and has good phone quality. The battery life has been very good too (as I use it a lot every day for video calls, calls, texting, surfing, playing games, etc). The only thing I would have liked was wireless charging but that's not a huge deal for me as the battery life has been great. It also charges through the USB cord very fast in my car. I'm definitely glad I decided to "step down" from the top-of-the line. I'm sure I wasn't using 1/2 of what the latest-and-greatest phones had anyway and saved a bunch of money.

Great starter phone for kiddos without breaking the bank! Very pleased with the price. Also, the battery life is impeccable! Word of warning in case you are used to wireless charging, this phone is not capable of doing that. It must be plugged in.

I absolutely love my phone. I've always bought the Galaxy S series and they're great. This A52 5g is as good as any Samsung phone I've ever had. I love the features. It's fast, the camera is fantastic and the battery is the best. If you're looking for a new phone, this is the one.

Using this unlocked phone on T-Mobile network, it works very well. I do know it also works with Verizon as well, but the phone only has low and mid bands of 5G and not the superfast mmWave that VZW promotes. That said, this is a fantastic phone. With knowing there is no mmWave or wireless charging out of the way, you will be dazzled with this large, super AMOLED display with a buttery smooth 120mHz refresh rate. Built in stereo speakers, a physical headphone jack and microSD card support up to 1TB are all present as well. The A52 5G runs android 11 out of the box and is compatible with 25w fast charging (although only a 15w charger comes in the box). It is as close to flagship features as you could want for the price point. Highly recommended.

Day to day usage is as reliable and glitch free as the flagships I've owned from Samsung in the past. Battery life is easily a full day, and sometimes 2-3 depending on usage. Hard to look at anything without an OLED screen after getting used to the superior colors and contrast and the 120 hz refresh rate looks ridiculously smooth (though I typically use the lower rate to maintain battery). Micro SD is great and is holding tons of photos and videos (without having to deal with a cloud service). IP67 water resistance is excellent and allows me to not worry about damaging this phone like I did other brands with no rating. NFC awesome to use G pay. Facial recognition unlock, smartview and link to windows are all useful features. Quick charger included in box. Only drawbacks I ever think about (and rarely) are lack of wireless charging support, mediocre finger print scanner performance, and maybe some so-so low light photo performance vs G phones I've had before. Always have my phone in a case so phone materials don't really bother me. Love this phone every time I use it (and that's quite a bit)
