I usually NEVER review ANYTHING, but - wow-

I usually never bother to write reviews, but after using this beautiful laptop for more than half a year now, I couldn't recommend getting one more - and many of my friends have. I'm a computer science major, so of course I'll dive into the hardware components, as well as software usage, comparing it to other laptops of similar specs as well. For background, I am a college student, who regularly indulges in video editing, coding, and gaming - all in this one laptop. And amazingly, this machine can handle pretty much *anything* you'd want a laptop to do. I've used HP Envys and Lenovo Yogas in the past, as well as Surface books, and many of them have bluescreened due to the amount of stress I need to exert on these machines. But this is an absolute beast - put all your doubts away - and I'll tell you exactly why: HARDWARE -> BATTERY -> In my benchmarks, this laptop lasts about 6-7 hours after medium-load usage, but up to 10 or even 12 with regular browsing, depending on the performance to battery usage ratio you select. This laptop harbors a better battery than the HP Envy (which got recalled btw) or the Lenovo in my experience, as those hit only about 6 hours max of regular usage and worse with medium or heavy loads. PROCESSOR - First and foremost, this laptop's specs pack an i7-1065G7, a 10th gen processor that packs a punch. i7s (even of the same generation) aren't all the same model - and 1065G7 is just about the BEST you can get for a laptop i7 10th gen. In fact, the 1065G7 hits its max clock at 3.90 GHz - and thus used in gaming laptops such as the $1599 Razer Blade Stealth and the $2499 15" Surface Book 3 laptop - the processor comes in retail price at $430 in itself. With 4-core, 8-thread, you'll never have a problem opening up 40 chrome tabs (though RAM is also an important consideration), and I've thus never had browser lag after heavy use on Chrome and Edge. In a lot of systems, you'll run into thermal throttling, but Samsung has it under control with their efficient heat pipes and heat-spreaded design RAM - I've used 16 GB laptops in the past, but 12 GB is really all you'll ever need for a laptop, especially when this laptop uses LPDDR4X type RAM. Leave heavier work for desktops. With a lot of systems, you'll easily take up RAM based on the cache efficiency, but with this machine, I've personally never run into those problems, even with heavy gaming. STORAGE - With 512 GB of SSD, sure, you might have to get an external drive later on, but the SSD is actually upgradable, and I was able to fit a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro NVMe with 7000 Mb/s read/write speeds (one of the fastest in the general consumer market) with no compatibility issues. Besides, this is not necessary, as they use an intel SSD that offers fast enough speeds anyways - better than HP Envy drives. PORTS - They made a bold decision with this 15.6" model by not including USB-A ports, but I just got a Targus hub, so that was not an issue, especially because the USB-C ports are quality Thunderbolt 3 ports with fast connectivity and transfer rates. DISPLAY - for a 1920 x 1080 Full HD display, this laptop is no 4K hunk of steel, but color adjustments and quality were analyzed perfectly, so that deep blacks and true colors are quite precise. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now actual performance-wise: CODING -> I was able to run programs in PyCharm, IntelliJ, and other IDEs relatively quickly for a laptop, allowing me to finish loading my code faster than most of my peers solely due to the power packed into this laptop. GAMING -> Although this laptop isn't specifically meant for gaming, I regularly averaged 120-140 FPS in Minecraft and around 70-90 FPS on Valorant, the latter of which is a much more demanding game. Most laptops wouldn't be able to support such framerates unless they possessed built-in NVIDIA graphics cards, which this laptop only uses Intel Iris Plus graphics. I can most importantly use this laptop on a sturdy, foldable stand from Amazon for about $30, and it functions like a mini desktop with an attached keyboard and mouse, as you can see in the attached images. 2-in-1 is definitely part of what makes this laptop worth its price. VIDEO-EDITING - Sure, this is no desktop rig with a 8K monitor, but the color precision is quite close to the dot compared to a true image, although if you're a professional, you'd use a workstation anyways. All things being said, this would be a perfect on-the-go editing laptop for light editing, or when you need to put finishing touches/overlay audio/import files, especially if you upgrade your SSD to a 980 Pro or a 970 Evo Plus. If you're a photo-editor, the 2-in-1 allows for the usage of the laptop as a tablet, with a very capable pen. Overall, the 2-in-1 feature has allowed me to bring just a keyboard, mouse, laptop, and foldable stand on the go to create a desktop-like experience where my neck doesn't have to crane and it functions in pretty much any manner you would like. If you are looking at laptops and considering HP, Lenovo, or Microsoft, look no further than the 2-in-1 15.6" version, as it really packs a punch for its relatively low price. It has specs averaging a $1800 laptop after much research, and Samsung could not have impressed me more with this product. I take it with me everywhere, and I've received countless compliments on the beautiful color (it looks even better than the images - absolutely mesmerizing) and the utility of the rig. One of my friends actually liked mine so much that she recently got one for herself - which is why I wrote this review. Absolutely a wonderful steal of a product to price ratio if you treat it with the care it deserves. Thanks Samsung, you've really outdone yourself on this one.

This laptop has everything that I've always wanted in a laptop. The stylus, numeric pad, touchscreen, excellent battery life, and the display. It's simply amazing and breathtaking. I couldn't believe my eyes when I open up the laptop and saw the display, all the colors were crisp, clear. and beautiful. Also as a college student, I love that it has a stylus so I can take quick notes and not to mention that you can also record while taking notes so you can go back and listen to your notes. I also love the battery life, I only need to charge it two times per day in compare to my previous laptop where I needed to charge it 5 times per day. Although this laptop is pricey, I recommend buying it when it is on sale or get an open box version. I bought this during the Black Friday sale and got the excellent open box price and it came with no flaws or scratches. Def try to save as much money as you can but this laptop was worth the money that I paid for. I love it and will keep on using it. I would say that a few cons are the low audio (but that can be easily fix in the settings) and that it is a fingerprint magnet. These things aren't a deal breaker but are minor annoyances.

I purchased this laptop after my amazing experience using the Flex Alpha and have been loving it. The reason I prefer this over the Alpha is the bigger screen, S Pen, and USB-C charging. Otherwise, it has mostly the same features. I think battery life is perfect especially for a larger and brighter screen. The battery might last a little less than the 13' inch but that's understandable because of power requirements. Colour is a rich blue that I personally love compared to standard silver or black colors that most laptops have. Many people have issue's with it being a fingerprint magnet but I don't mind it because it's easier to clean. The QLED screen is amazing and I love using it for movies. This laptop is ideal for artists, students, and business professionals. It can also be used for light gaming but I haven't tried running any games on it yet. The sound is acceptable. The fan sometimes runs in the background when performing a large update or running multiple tasks. It doesn't really heat up compared to the 13' inch. S pen sensitivity is amazing and drawing has never felt so satisfying. If I was an artist I can imagine how satisfying it would be to use. Overall I would say it's an incredible laptop from Samsung. Make sure to update it as soon as you get it and it'll be working flawlessly. I recommend contacting Samsung and they will ship you a USB-C to HDMI port if you are looking to connect it to a monitor or TV because the listing says it is supposed to come with one.

I bought this laptop for the screen. It is amazing and has an "outdoor" mode. You can actually see your computer when the sun is shinning or there is a light refracting off the screen. The touch screen is easy to use. The laptop does not weigh much for it's size. The keyboard is nice, but the wrist area and mousepad could be smaller so that your fingers can reach the keys while resting on a wrist rest. I have huge hands for a woman, and they do not reach the keyboard while posed on the wrist rest. I do love the built-in S-pen. It is fun to draw with it, and it helps with screenshots, annotating in zoom, and signing .pdf. The number pad is nice to have. It has been having issues with bluetooth, kicking my bluetooth mouse off, and saying the the S-pen is not connected. I will be taking it to The Geek Squad soon, when I have time. I am giving this 4 stars due to the reach needed for the keyboard, the bluetooth issues, and the weird way it works as a tablet. It is a little strange and difficult to use in tablet mode. The screen is large and heavy to use in tablet mode. I just use it as a laptop. The blue color is very pretty, but it does show dust and fingerprints more than a silver or white laptop or keyboard would. The speakers are better than the last laptop I had and located on the sides instead of the bottom. You do need earbuds to hear anything if you go outside.

This laptop is awesome. It has everything I was looking for in a laptop. Only downfall is that I keep having issues with the wireless wifi internet connection and it's not due to my router. I did an exchange but the new one isn't any better. Maybe the bugs will be fixed soon and you have to constantly have to clean fingerprints but it's not a deal breaker. The display is amazing!

Fast loading enjoying the pen and sketch clear and bright screen. Got it for the amount of hrs it last in save mode. Out of all the options this had the highest and it’s been great with everything, Internet connection, printer connection, zoom clarity, no lag, multi tasking and double window making a split screen. Clear high volume.

There are a lot of things I like about this laptop. The design is simply incredible and unique. It's a stunner in person and I'm more than happy to put up with the constant fingerprints. It's also thin, light, and has excellent battery life with good performance. The keyboard is comfortable to type on and the trackpad is very precise. This is also the best looking screen I've ever had on a laptop. Extremely extremely impressive display. QLED for the win! This thing just nails most of the fundamentals. However, it's not perfect and given what the price is, the oversights are hard to ignore. First and foremost, it drives me nuts that you can't open this laptop with one hand. All this effort into the design/engineering and yet, you still need 2 hands to open this thing. The webcam is okay but should be a lot better. For this kind of money, I expect an infrared webcam that is compatible with Windows Hello. The speakers should definitely be better. There are two Thunderbolt 3 ports and one USB-C port but there should be four Thunderbolt 3 ports, period. 12 GB of RAM instead of 16? Come on Samsung. And in the biggest irony of all, the SSD is made by Intel, not Samsung (who happens to be an industry leader in SSD's). When you pay this much money for something, you don't want corners to be cut and these things stick out because the rest of the laptop is wonderful. I've been looking for the perfect laptop with a numeric keypad for a LONG time. I love sleek and clean designs like what you see on Surface Laptops and MacBooks. This is a unique looking product that does most things really well. I'm happy with this laptop and would recommend it to most people but make sure that you can live with the amount and types of ports that it has.

My initial few weeks with this laptop had its ups and down, I will cover this in pro’s and con below and my final conclusion: Pros - For the size (15.6) of the laptop amazingly light, similar weight to my wife’s 13 inch MBP - Screen is simply amazing, quality is great supports HDR and has an outside feature that makes the screen viewable in direct sunlight - Trackpad is excellent, smooth and accurate and also a wireless charger - S Pen is good but not great, works flawlessly, stored in body of laptop, but a bit to small to be comfortable for long uses - Keyboard is OK, typing is good, travel is OK but the function keys are flipped, rather than hitting F6 to increase the volume you need to hit Function F6 - Design 10/10 beautiful laptop with minimal bezel and a simple elegant industrial design - Fast and large SSD - Finger print scan fast and accurate - Batter life was up and down no consistently good after updates (12 hours+) - Micro SD support added 400GB SD, reads and writes with no issue Cons - Initially lots of driver issues, updates made Bluetooth and WiFi unreliable, but latest driver (3 days ago) has resolved those issues - Only 12GB DDR4 ram, would of been great to get 16 or 32 - Fan noise can get loud - Webcam is meh, not great in these times Conclusion Overall love the laptop, I also have a Lenovo X2 Extreme blown out specs, but prefer using the Samsung would highly recommend as long as you update the drivers and the bios

This is a solid laptop that runs smoothly. As a student taking college courses, it comes in very handy due to the included S-Pen. The keyboard keys are a little low, but it’s not really an issue for me personally. Display is very beautiful, colors are nice and vibrant. The laptop itself in terms of physical appearance is sleek and very attractive. I wouldn’t suggest this laptop if you are a gamer and the like, but if you are a student or a more general type user I think this laptop is very good for what it comes with at the price point. People are upset about the lowered RAM which is understandable, but I haven’t had any issues in performance so far when it comes to my own use. For reference, I have owned a MacBook Pro before that was quite pricier than this and I honestly prefer this so far—there’s just a lot more versatility. I should mention the battery is very good as well and lasts me the whole day. Of course if you watch a lot of videos it will lower the time, but I was able to get through a whole day with some streaming mixed in during my breaks. All in all, I do recommend this laptop!

This laptop is deceptively light weight and overall absolutely gorgeous though it's a fingerprint magnet it's not a deal killer especially when I can just while it with some cleaner and paper towel. It's definitely fast and I love the phone integration. I can literally do anything on my computer like move pictures, respond to texts and make or receive calls without even looking at my phone. Set up was fast and easy. I wish it did have other colors available and other memory options but that can easily be addressed when notebook skins are available and I have an external hard drive and cloud space as well. It's just a little difficult now since both my wife and I got one so we literally had to print name labels to avoid picking up the wrong one. Coming from a photographer/digital designer/web developer I'm very happy overall with the laptop and will definitely look forward to learning about what else it can do and is capable of. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the speakers though good could be louder. I feel I get more volume from my work issued MacBook pro but I'm 90% of the time using my Bluetooth AKG headphones anyway no matter where I am so it's no big deal to me personally.

There have been minor issues which I have are common with other users. The S-Pen doesn't seem to connect for some periods and the wireless connection drops. I have found solutions for the wireless connection but not the pen which has not had issues lately so maybe an update has taken place. Otherwise very, very happy. From research ahead of time I knew the speakers are not the best and that the surface is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. It is HEAVY which makes holding it to be used as a tablet a strain plus the keyboard in the back is odd but all in all, it's everything I had hoped for. Great keyboard, QLED screen, capacity, tablet use, brightness, speed, etc.

Bought the computer for school. Runs relatively well. Boots and shuts down super quickly. The screen is really beautiful and bright, especially with Outdoor Mode on. The audio is not as good as I expected. The speakers are tuned by AKG but they're not as good as the speakers on my Galaxy S5e tablet (which also has AKG-tuned speakers but is much less expensive). It charges my phone on the laptop, something I thought I would barely use but turned out to be quite useful when I had my laptop downstairs, wasn't using it and didn't want to go upstairs for my phone charger. Graphics-wise, it doesn't run demanding games like Star Wars Battlefront 2 well, but that's to be expected without a dedicated graphics card. Nonetheless, it runs the programs I need for school (Word, PowerPoint, Adobe PDF reader) pretty well with multiple internet tabs and Netflix open. I haven't used the S-Pen much because I'm not a good artist so haven't used it for that, but it's definitely been a responsive experience when I have used it. It does work as a remote for when I watch Netflix on the TV through HDMI and don't want to get up to pause. Battery-wise, it doesn't last the whole 20 hours that Samsung says but with battery saver on the battery has lasted like 10 hours. Which is more than my previous laptop, for sure. To recap Excellent Screen Excellent S-Pen support Excellent Speed (for what it's intended) Great Battery PowerShare feature can be useful Average Audio Cool, if not often useful, features.

Samsung really came to take over the game with this thing!! The 15" Galaxy Book Flex really is the most functional laptop I've seen in this price range. I bought mine work and and play and I'm loving it so far! Runs really smooth on all my apps. It's pretty slim so it's super easy to travel with but the quality in the build is still there. The hinges are pretty sturdy for when you use it in either laptop or tablet mode. The S Pen is amazing!! It has so many functions and is the main reason I wanted this model. I've not gotten to all it can do yet but a couple things I've used it for so far are: - writing on documents while out on the road without having to print and scan them back in. - slideshow pointer/clicker for presenting. - My personal favorite use; artistic things such as digital drawing/painting. The screen is probably the best I've seen, very bright, sharp and vivid. It also has an outdoor mode to make it even brighter! A pretty cool feature I've used while in classes is the wireless powershare, however if you're using it to charge your phone or other devices you have to use the touchscreen because the device being charged had to sit on the track pad. It has a convenient fingerprint scanner so you don't have to type in your password everytime. It does have an auxiliary headphone jack and also has Bluetooth, which is a big plus because I use both wired and wireless headphones. The royal blue metal finish is beautiful, but it is also a fingerprint magnet which may bother some but I don't mind giving it an occasional little wipe. There are only two quirks that caught my attention but not nearly bad enough to turn me away from this laptop: - It only has USB-C ports. (Most of the world hasn't caught up yet to use these, which is why Samsung does provide a dongle adapter thingy for plugging in flash drives, phone chargers, and whatnot) - The lip on the front to open the lid is a bit small because the computer is so slim. I usually open it with two hands so I can get an easier grip on it Overall this thing is awesome! Samsung took some of the great things from their phones and stuffed it into a laptop.

I ordered this as soon as I saw it was available in the USA and have no regrets. It's beautiful especially with the QLED screen but the blue is top notch. The QLED is excellent and provides a bright and vivid picture. Sure it could use some more RAM and a bigger hard drive, but for what I'm using it for this is plenty. The frame of the laptop is very well made and is sturdy. The screen does have some slight wobble to it while you're using the s-pen in laptop mode but it's not bad but aside from that it's solid. I'm still using it to gauge battery life but so far I've most I've gotten out of it is 10 hours of video playing and web surfing and had 25% battery left. This thing is awesome and highly recommended.

Things to know before purchasing: Pros: very light (similar in weight to many 13" laptops). 1). Screen is bright and looks great even though it is only 1080p; 2). carrier for pen is on board which is very convenient and does not require separate charging. 3). Battery life is decent but nowhere near the listed time. Listed times are really for running it at the bare minimum. Under more typical use with the screen at about 50% I get around 5-8 hrs. Still pretty good compared with other laptops Cons: 1). Fan noise- the fan runs most of the time if you are plugged in and running either on balanced or high power mode. The fan creates a very high pitched, constant whine; 2). keyboard: the key travel is extremely shallow-- similar to those keyboards for tablets. It is very different from prior versions of Samsung laptops. I found it very difficult to type on. 3). fingerprint magnet as others have noted; 4). Limited configurations for memory/hard drive space (not really a con, but something that you should know).
