I had an S3 that was awesome when I purchased it but had seen better days by the time I went in for a new phone. I loved the fact this phone is designed for a more active lifestyle. I don't treat my phones gently so this is a bonus. You see right off that it has a more substantial case. Its slightly larger and heavier than a standard S6 but as far as I'm concerned the piece of mind is worth it. I went to the Samsung desk and they immediately helped me transfer everything over to the new phone. I've used the camera a number of times and it takes great photos. The screen is larger and has a better quality than my old phone. I don't use a lot of apps but the few I do use run quickly and flawlessly. I would recommend this phone.

Water resistant, very sturdy. Does not need a case. I first looked at the phone at the ATT store. I had the clerk drop it onto the sidewalk from about 4 feet high. The edges of the casing were scuffed, but the screen did not crack. The phone is very fast moving from task to task. Great battery life with quick charging.

The S6 Active is by far the best Android smartphone I've used.
The GS6 Active has a beefier battery. I pick it up from charger at 7am and I still have power at 9pm. It's simply amazing.
It's much more comfortable to hold and stays secure in my hand.
Camera, processor and screen remain equal to that of the regular S6 so no complaints there. Everything just works superb. Another added bonus that the S6 Active has is the extra manual quick key above the volume rocker.
Cons: Limited Storage: 32gb vs 64gb or 128gb.
AT&T bloatware that you can't get rid of, just disable.
Overall the S6 Active is the device to get. It's not only designed for those with "active" lifestyles but for all types of consumers.

This phone is amazing so far. Getting a durable, tougher phone helps out a lot around my lifestlye. And it seems the perfect fit for me. You can't ask anything more from samsung for top in the product. It's got everything that the original has and then some. Such as the larger battery life, take pictures underwater (so waterproof phone), a rugged appearance to fit it's 'active' name, even a dedicated button to bring up any app you want in a flash. And there are many other small features that you will notice with the phone while using it. This phone also supports wireless charging and it's REALLY fast, opposed to my old nexus 5 anyways. And yes you can drop this phone in water with no worries that the back Is gonna stay on, because it's embedded. The storage is just enough for a phone. I don't see how you need anymore than 32 GIGS ON A PHONE. That's why we have computers, due to complaints I've heard.

Phone has defiantly held up to the ruff and tough wear and tear. Unfortunately the memory seems to run out very fast but the battery does last a long time even while playing games and charging is pretty quick. I definitely recommend this phone if you're around water or work in a rough environment it does take the drops the water and the wear and tear.

Overall I like this phone. I don't know if it is the waterproof covering or what but I find that it is not as precise as my wifes iphone 6s for texting etc. And I came from another android so that's not it. The new scaled down touchwiz is a bit cumbersome to me and lacks options that I personally enjoyed. I really enjoyed LG's better and miss the carousel effect. But spec wise this phone is pretty dang awesome. Takes good pictures both front and back, has long battery life. Waterproof in fresh water. Its nice to wash it off every now and then. I have even taken a shower while I was on hold (because I needed a shower and its waterproof so why not). Anyway, I think its a bit more of a lifestyle phone than I necessarily needed, but it was on sale on black friday with the 250 gift card, and LG didn't have any deals. So for what I paid + that gift card it was a fantastic deal. Especially compared to my wifes Iphone. I am fairly certain that this phone is the best waterproof phone out there and I don't regret getting it.

My first smartphone although I have used others. I had to charge it everyday in the beginning because of constant use, downloading etc. & setting it up. Now not so much with its large battery. But it charged fast. It is bigger than I wanted for a phone. But the display is great and the apps run fast. I keep my electronics a long time. The screen is easy to see in the sun and the processor is 64 bit Octacore. I like not having to close an app down so that I can use another or no lag time. Haven't used the camera much, but pictures are clear and I love using the app that lets you say "Shoot" and it takes the picture. This has been handy while taking a shot in an unbalanced position. Suggest if your new to Samsung that you take advantage of the training they have at the Best Buy stores.

Replacing iPhone 4S, looked for Samsung S6. Best Buy was out of stock of the S6, so I got the Galaxy S6 Active. Takes a minute to get used to Android OS after nearly 4 years of iPhone but have to admit, love it. The Active is so light and thin! Built to withstand being dropped and is waterproof, does not need an additional case to protect it. Camera is so versatile, outstanding!

I enjoy the phone and I'm impressed by the battery life. I can get almost 2 full days of heavy use with one charge. I would have given the phone 5 stars if it had micro SD and removable battery, features that always set the galaxy line apart from other phones. The phone has been the shower a couple times and it is water proof as advertised, it has also survived a couple of wast high drops with no problems. I don't mind the extra thickness as I would rather have a thicker phone with a good battery than a slim phone with poor battery. I enjoy the looks of the phone and appreciate that I don't have to buy a case for it. I could care less about the missing finger print scanner.

Overall, the phone functions very well and is a significant upgrade from my Galaxy S3 which just died (won't turn on) randomly. The battery on the S6 Active drains pretty fast from 100 to 80%. However, it lasts all day with moderate use. I like the phone BUT hate the fact that Samsung did away with the removable battery and sd card slot. The active version only comes with 32 gb memory. Camera is pretty good and overall functioning is snappy.

I really like this phone. Everything has worked really well so far. It is able to handle the multiple apps I use and the battery lasts all day! The phone is supposed to be tougher than the regular S6, but I haven't had any incidences yet. The camera is excellent and syncing with Google Photos makes saving pictures a breeze. The physical buttons aren't my favorite, but they are tolerable.

pros, great screen size, durable, very clear pics, and a fast operating system. My major complaint with this phone is the external buttons, they are placed in such a way that you can't grab the phone without hitting them, very annoying and pour design in my opinion. If you could go in settings and turn them off it would be excellent but I guess that's what dreams are for.

Only draw back to this phone to some may be the size. But even the size isn't that bad. This phone is like a mini computer. Very powerful device. If you are looking for an Android phone, you won't be disappointed with this one. Beautiful screen. Pictures and video are great. Battery life is all day and the next. I like the dedicated active button on the side. Great feature for the active person. The speaker is weak. I gave up an HTC One that had beats audio. Not sure if the regular GS6 audio is better? If it is, the water proofing of the Active may limit its quality. Fun phone.

I upgraded to the S6 active from a note 2 and the difference is night and day. The display is much better, the camera is brilliant and the phone is much more zippy. The cons are the same as everyone else has stated...bloatware and no removable storage. Even so, I would still recommend this phone. I am definitely pleased with this purchase.

It fell 4 times while running on a road and it is so tough that it did not breath. I am very satisfied with the toughness of the mobile. I also like the shape and finishing. The only draw back is it doesn't have an extendable memory

Traded in my iPhone 5 for this S6 Active, and I could not be more satisfied. Once I learned how to manage and use an Android system, I was very pleased with the overall capabilities of the S6 Active. And the battery life is tremendous. 3500mah! I use this phone to take pics (and edit them) check email and surf net...and of course phone calls. At the end of the day, I still have 60% or more of the battery life left. I usually only charge up every 2 days. Oh yeah, it takes really good underwater pics! Get this phone! You'll love it.

This phone is tough, and well built. I love the fact that it can get wet and not be destroyed. The camera is phenomenal and the speaker is much better than previous models. If I have any complaints it is but one, I do miss the TouchPad menu button on the bottom.
