Seriously, if you have AT&T do not sleep on this phone. It isn't widely advertised like the flagship 7 is, however, this phone is amazing! My dad's phone was stolen, and he had the 6, and so I decided since I am upgrading to an 8 active (another one you shouldn't sleep on), then i will upgrade him to a 7 active as well. So when it was time for me to upgrade, I looked at this one. It has some weight on it, as it is marketed as *rugged* phone. So instead of the plastic casing you usually get, this is an all metal one. It's beautiful and works just the same. The battery life is insane. LIKE INSANE! I watch Directv on my phone sometimes nearly 8 hours a day, and I still have battery to take me through the rest of my day. He charges this maybe once a day. He's in love with the battery life. Cases and screen protectors go on amazingly and work together in harmony. But honestly with the way it's built you don't need a case just a screen protector, but I have a clear case anyway. I've had so many think I already had a case on it for him, but i was like nope that's just the phone's awesomeness lol He also likes the physical buttons its has. If you get the 8 active it still has the all glass screen, but I knew with him not being techy would like that. So I went with this one because of the physical back, menu, home buttons. He really liked this feature as well. It's a great phone and honestly don't sleep on this one. I don't regret our purchases that day one bit! I'm in love with both phones I bought.

This is a decent phone, don't get me wrong. It's fast the majority of the time. Sturdy, feels like it's well made. Only after buying it was I made aware that it may not be fully waterproof, depending on the manufacture date. How on earth am I supposed to know unless I dunk it into water? They'll replace or repair, according to Samsung, but in the meantime if it's not waterproof, what should I do about a phone? I am a utilities worker. I'm in the weather most days of the week. I need my phone for navigation, documentation, communication and exposure to precipitation and perspiration. According to Samsung the extra 1000mh battery is worth an extra $100, even though we were led to believe it was compatible with the gear VR. It is absolutely not compatible even though the scary battery having Note 7 is bigger, it'll fit in the gear VR, but not the S7 Active. So we trade supposed extra durability for a phone that has fewer cool compatibilities with its own manufacturers accessories for an extra large battery but fewer bonus features. Please explain what's worth more about this phone... But it's waterproof. Just like the Edge and standard S7, and the Note 7. Tell me again why it's $100 more for a less impressive phone? I got this because I found out the HTC 10 wouldn't be carried by at&t anymore, which I've always liked more than Samsung. I don't care much for LG or Sony so I wanted to see what the buzz was all about. I'm not completely convinced it's worth $750, but you be the judge.

It's been 5 months since I purchased my S7 Active at Best Buy. This is my favorite phone I have ever owned! The water resistance with the S7 line and the rugged durability of the Active presents a phone worthy of the toughest users. Can't forget about Samsung Pay, the phenomenal camera and expandable storage.

I love this phone. It's durable and sleek. The battery life is great on it. I use my phone all throughout the day, from when I get up at 9am, until I get home at 1am, and it lasts me the whole day. It processes things fast, and I love the screen size. I highly recommend this phone!

When my Samsung s4 active finally but the dust (after being run over multiple times on a busy road) my hunt for a new phone began. As soon as I picked up the s7 active, I couldn't help but to keep coming back and doing more research. I appreciate that it's such a sturdy phone as well as water proof. I've already taken it on two kayak trips with zero water problems. The battery life is great and I do believe I'll be using this for the next few years with no problems. Even though it's built to be tougher than your average phone, go ahead an buy a cover of some sort. Better safe than sorry!

This phone was a replacement for a Galaxy S5 Active, and it has improved on that phone in almost every way. The phone is great, the battery life is much better than expected, the camera is amazing, as usual the OS is easy to use and works very well, and the best part is the durability. This has already been dropped multiple times and there isn't a scratch on it. Would definitely recommend.

Love my new phone, upgraded from a galaxy note 4 wasn't sure about downgrading to a smaller size phone but it was a good choice. The screen and resolution is amazing, and blazing fast operation. The durable outer shell is a case in itself and the added protection of gorilla glass sold it for me. So far, this phone has been great, and the battery (4000mah) last all day, and I use my phone ALL DAY! Highly recommend!

This phone is for anyone who is accident prone like I am. Lol. It's durable & pretty much indestructible. If you work outside this phone is for you. You don't have to worry about getting it wet or having any dirt, dust, or sand getting into it. I did read it does have military specs so you don't have to worry about guns, explosions, or any climate changes. I had the galaxy s5 active but I love this phone. The battery life is amazing. If you need a full charge quick then all you have to do is fast charger it. I wish I would have got this phone as soon as it came out but I hated to part with my s5 active. Trust me you will love it too.

If you're hard on phones the way I am - this is the phone for you! Forget sleek stylish bodies - this phone has a built in case that takes abuse and is pretty waterproof (yes I fished it out of a bucket of water). I put Zagg protective glass on the face - no scratches a year later.

The design is incredible. I wish I didn't need a case so I could just hold it as it was designed. However, I tend to drop my phone and I'm not going to risk that. Also, the glass back makes the phone noticeably slippery. The screen is gorgeous and just the right size. The capacitive buttons are a little easy to hit on accident. Using this in the Gear VR is a whole new world of amazing experiences. I really love this phone, but (as with all phones) it comes with its set of disappointments. In addition to what I've already listed, the sound will just randomly shut off if I'm playing from the phone's speakers. It's a known issue, but not resolution as of yet. The battery life is not great. I can only make it about a half of a day with moderate usage and I cannot leave apps open or have a bunch of extra apps on the phone. I'm not sure if this is the phone's fault, or ATT's... All in all though, I highly recommend this phone and it's been a real pleasure to have and use.

It has great focusing when taking pics. Battery life last over 24+ hours.

This phone is fantastic. A true workhorse. My wife got it in gold, and i got it in black. This gold is slightly feminine which is cool - I almost got gold, but really wanted green. DIdnt wait for green and went black. This is our second generation Active phone. I liked the S6 Active more, but this phone will do until the next iteration (if there is one). Built in bumpers, yuuuuuge battery, and all the features of the regular S7 (albeit it a little slower in terms of processor speeds). We dont keep our phones in a case because of the design and purpose of this phone, instead we opt for a tempered glass screen protector and go about our business, but we like to live dangerously. My only gripe is that Samsung didnt think this through when they made the Gear VR - THIS PHONE DOES NOT FIT IN THE GEAR VR. 9.5/10.

Being a truck driver i read a lot of reviews first. Same quality as my galaxy rugby but lighter and bigger screen Excellent battery life. Great photos. Good size screen . Slim and light. I would recommend tone anyone who works outdoor.

Amazing phone. Great call reception, super fast. And yes, I have taken this phone numerous times 1-2 feet underwater in a pool with crisp detailed photos! The camera capabilities are outstanding. Great fit in palm.

I upgraded from the s6 active. This phone is slightly bulkier. But I think that aids in the waterproofing and durability. The camera is phenomenal, so it is great for outdoor adventures.

This is my second active phone. I will never buy anything but active from now on. I have dropped or banged the phone literally hundreds of times without issue. Other phones would be destroyed by now. As a mechanic. There are no other phones that hold up to the use.

Just what I was looking for, upgrade for my old non active galaxy. Love the rugged design, perfect for the outdoor field technician. Great camera and fast processor.

Awesome phone, good battery life, great display. I do not have a case because the phone is rugged and water resistant. I do recommend adding a screen protector.
