The Galaxy S8 is incredibly fast and never lags, even with multiple programs running simultaneously. The OLED screen is one of the brightest I've seen and can easily viewed even in direct sunlight. The edge to edge display further enhances the screen. Perhaps the best feature of the phone, however, is the camera. Most other phone cameras stumble in dimly lit areas, but the Galaxy 8 takes beautiful well focused pictures in even in poorly lit rooms. Wireless charging is another bonus. All in all, this is the best phone I've owned.

So far, I love the galaxy s8! The screen is nice and big, and it takes incredibly clear, high quality photos and videos. It also has a ton of storage, so you are able to download quite a few apps. The only thing I had to adjust to was the fact that the phone is so slim and slippery, it feels like it could slip out of your hands at any time - and I have small hands! The other thing I am leery about is the fact that the internet doesn't always load when using the 4g data. That can get a little annoying, as it does slow down the speed at which you perform tasks because you have to take a second to make the internet work. However, the internet works perfectly when using Wi-Fi. Other than that, the phone is great!

It works fantastically. The camera is probably the best feature about it (TO ME). I use it for just about everything--calling, texting, and most of all--internet.
It's fast, it's responsive, it gets the job done and is compatible with everything. It's the person you want to ask to dance with a guarantee of a great night. It's everything you desire in a phone, but never knew about because you were too distracted with "new designs" and "new app features."
Meet the Galaxy S8 and be lucky.

I have been using this as my main phone exclusively since October and it is very snappy, have decent storage, and has a nice display too. The edges are very small and it is definitely worth the money it costs, especially with the performance of the phone and how light it is as well. I love using Samsung Pay with it and it has a nice camera, good fingerprint sensor, and can also use faceID and Iris lock for certain things so that you can use your iris's for locks on certain things.

I know everyone says it but this is the best phone I've ever had. Here's my issue, if you have family and friends that are all on iPhone life is gonna suck. You'll lose group chats and yes I deregistered from iMessage and it still happens. You'll lose a solid video chatting solution with FaceTime. Everyone who says just download Duo or Skype my answer to you is it's not a me issue it's everyone else. You have to convince others to download these apps. So anyway that's not a S8 issue, it's an Ecosystem Android/iOS issue, but some of you may be contemplating the switch like I did. The S8 battery, screen, camera, and overall experience is phenomenal. You won't be disappointed in the phone if you don't care about the other issues mentioned above.

I specifically wanted to purchase an unlocked phone. The lack of bloatware is worth the price alone but it's not like my service offered a better deal than best buy. I loved the color and amount of gigs it offers! Not a huge fan of the curved sides. I feel like it's presented a challenge with screen protectors fitting properly but with the gorilla glass it's not a huge concern. Fits my hand better than my old s5. Love the camera and the software. Thanks bestbuy!

This is a great phone, and got it at a great price from Best buy, during Labor day sale. Got the unlocked version and it worked right away with T-mobile sim card. Best buy phone representative was very pessimistic about the unclocked version, but everything he said that would not work with T-mobile, actually works! Next time the Best Buy employee should not give advise on something that they not sure about, because it will affect customers in their decisions.

This is my first time purchasing a high end Samsung phone (previous phone was a Huawei Mate 7) and I'm thrilled with my purchase. I love the speed and I absolutely adore using Samsung pay nearly anywhere I shop! Bixby is a great added bonus too. The camera takes really nice pictures. The only con I see is the fact that I can't download apps directly to my SD card.

Overall, I love everything about the phone's exterior. Lovely color, and you get used to the fingerprint sensor. Camera is beautiful, with opicial stabilization and lots of different camera options. There are also several ways to unlock your phone which I adore, you can use face recognition (not very protective), fingerprint sensor, pattern, pin, and my favorite, Iris Scanner. The Iris Scanner works well throughout the day and can be a little difficult in direct sunlight, works great at night though.

I have to start off by saying that I use an iPhone but I bought this phone to use as a device for Andriod because I wanted the best. This is a fantastic piece of technology and Samsung deserves a lot of credit for the design of this phone. It is elegant in every way and does all tasks to perfection. The Snapdragon processor is super fast and the screen is incredible - true Samsung. This phone is also light in weight and easy to hold and use with one hand. The battery lasts long and the camera is very good. The beauty of this design and the way it works so well is a delight to me. I have received all updates so no issue there. You can get a cheaper phone but I would not hesitate to spend the money in this one. Thanks Best Buy for being such a great company and offering this product.

The first thing I want to talk about is screen: it's big, it's high resolution, it's bright. Its aspect ratio is stretched out, so wide-screen content fits it better. The extra visual real estate is nice but using it one-handed is not very easy.
The second thing is the design. I mean, visually it looks amazing but it's more than that. This is the first phone that I've used where the curved screen felt really comfortable in my hand. When it comes to phones, I don't care too much about millimetres and grammes and stuff like that I just want to feel comfortable my hand and most curved screens just don't feel good in the hand. But this one does and that's because of the frame. The transition from the front glass to the frame and then to the back glass feels almost seamless, there's just nothing with texture. It's really nice to hold but it's also really slippery. I would strongly recommend getting a skin for S8, or even a case.
The other things I like are the wireless charging, the headphone jack and Bluetooth 5.0. I love the micro SD slot, the USB-C port and the performance feels really quick so far.
The camera hardware is similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge. But, let's be honest, the camera on the S7 was awesome, so it's not too big of a deal to me that they didn't upgrade the camera. The front-facing camera has improved quite a bit and considering how many selfies I take every day I think this was a good call.
So this device has a large screen that is super bright and has high resolution so there's a lot of pixels to process and the battery size isn't huge, so I wasn't expecting amazing battery life. The first full day of use I end up the day with thirty-one percent left. Relatively heavy use over the course of the day. At night I charged it back up, watched some YouTube videos with maximum volume and maximum screen brightness, highest resolution (WQHD+) and when I checked it eight hours later it was at thirty-six percent. The screen on time was basically the same. I think that's not bad I mean on iPhone 7+ I'd probably got some very similar numbers.
The facial recognition is awesome - it works fast and it's reliable. I tried it with sunglasses and it didn't work very well.
The fingerprint scanner isn't in the best location. I have to stretch for it but since the facial recognition is so good I'm totally fine with it being on the back.
The Galaxy S8 is packed with a lot of cool techs. But hardware specs aren't everything. For me, the user experience is by far the most important thing when it comes to any kind of device. And with this, there are a couple things that kind of detract from the user experience.
The first is that on-screen home button. I think it could or should be a little bigger. And the haptic feedback isn't good, it feels like a regular phone vibration.
The speakers are also not stereo and I know a lot of people don't care about this. But I consume most of my media on my phone and it's so weird watching a super high-res video that looks gorgeous on the screen while having tinny audio that just comes out from one side of the phone. It just feels off.
The screen is also difficult to use one-handed. So a wide phone like the Google Pixel XL is already wide and a little bit uncomfortable to use but it's okay - I manage. The S8, because of the tall screen, the vertical stretch is crazy.
The last thing is, probably, my most personal opinion I know a lot of people are going to disagree with this, but I don't love where they're going with Bixby. And this time it comes with a dedicated hardware button which you cannot reassign to some other function.
So if you're interested in this phone and you enjoyed the S7 Edge user experience (as I did) you're going to love the S8. It's just a basically an elevated version of this phone. Truly next level hardware, you're going to love it.

I recently upgraded from my Galaxy S3 and boy how things have changed. This phone is so much faster than the old one that I almost find it hard to believe that I am on a phone. I find the ergonomics of the phone quite acceptable. Personally, no problems with the fingerprint sensor. The display is all that its cracked up to be (if you reset the resolution) and the camera is superb. I opted for the unlocked version primarily because I travel and usually wish to utilize the phone services of the country that I am visiting rather than the overpriced roaming services of a carrier. I the past I have had some minor problems with the unlocked S3 (unlocked after two year contract expired) and seemed to have no problem with the S8. All in all a great phone.

I used the Samsung Galaxy Ace way back in 2010 till 2012 & then bought an iPhone 5. Used that iphone till i bought the Galaxy S8 this month. I was sceptical if I would be able to get used to an android after all these years on iOS, must say it was quite easy and am enjoying using the Galaxy S8.
The big screen took me some time to get used to and have found the perfect way to hold the phone to unlock it using the fingerprint reader.
I'm finally getting to use so many widgets (I missed this feature on the iphone) and just love the display, it's just awesome.
Sometimes, I feel that the iOS keyboard is more accurate from a prediction perspective, but I think it's just that I haven't adjusted yet to typing on the S8 keyboard.
Battery life is also great, a full charge lasts me about a day and a half.
The earphones sounds good but I guess the microphone picks up a lot of background noise (a colleague commented that he could hear the crickets chirping outside while on a call; I was inside my house and the windows were open). Need to find out if others have had similar concerns.
The S8 is an awesome phone and I'm happy with my purchase.

The battery life is above and beyond any other phone I have had in the last decade or more. The display is beautiful and crisp. The processor is nice and fast, and I feel that the storage space is adequate. Should storage ever become an issue it's upgrade-able with Samsung bringing back the SD mini card holder again!
