Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G 256GB's large screen size and excellent camera quality. Many appreciate its impressive battery life and the smooth multitasking capabilities. However, some find the device to be heavy, and the lack of water resistance is also a point of concern for certain users.

Man, this phone is amazing. The software is complete, the hinge is fantastic The displays are top notch, the entire phone feels solid as a rock, it screams luxury, and the rear cameras are fantastic. The speakers are stereo and loud. It folds into a tablet and back to a phone. It's a great trick and the internal display is 4:3 which I much prefer over all other screen ratios so it sits in your hand nicely. The seam is hard to notice while looking at the device directly. Now for the downsides. The bezel iritates my fingers due to the speaker cutouts and the usb plug is right under my right thumb. Right now, as I type this review. The external display is too narrow and typing is a chore along with every app kind of off formatting a little different to conform to the display. Next the selfie cameras, they are crap. Crap crap crap. The speakers are distorted, but not hollow or tinny. The folding display isn't crystal clear. There's a seam and a slump down the middle. Summary, If your not taking a ton of selfies and can cope with the narrow display and can keep the inside screen free of debris and you want this its a no Brainer! The only flaws are minor aside from that. I added a selfie for inner camera reference.

So smooth, really easy and fast. It's more than a phone to me. It's my life, the rose gold silk and the fold noise just makes my day better. Works well with accessories, the speakers are super clear. When I watch a movie with the phone unfolded it's like a movie theater. I'm so lucky to have this phone. This phone is faster than my Mercedes. Attached to this review, there are some very nice pictures I took from this phone.

I was very hesitant to get this expensive phone. It’s pretty much the price of a high end laptop. I loved the portability, the quality of the screen, and overall functionality. I am impressed by the battery life. I’ve used it all day looking at schematics, YouTube, surfing the web, Netflix, and Disney Plus. The screen is amazing. The high refresh rate makes a huge difference on top of the resolution. The only down side is that it’s not as fast to charge when you’re using the device regardless if it’s operating in normal or high performance mode. I purchased the Z Fold 2, because I’ve seen speculation of what the new Fold could be. I preferred the specifications on this device versus the potential upgraded and newer model. It’s suppose to have a smaller screen, small battery, and no where to put the stylus. If you’re worried about the crease on the screen, it’s not a problem. App’s not a problem either. Everything works fantastically.

I have loved Samsung products for years and have been waiting for this phone for years, I've been a Galaxy Note fan since the 2nd one, this would have been the perfect phone if you say that if the s pen could have been added, but this is a great phone for technical reasons and for daily use, it's wonderful, its smaller in my pocket than the note 10 plus but when open its like my 8 inch Samsung tablet, so for work its a power house, for play many hours of entertainment, and its tougher than I thought so you don't have to baby it, camera is great as usual from Samsung, I can get a few days of battery on the powerful setting and more with power saving on, speakers are loud, screen looks great, watching TV and videos, and games is like having a small flat screen in your hands, it's a little heavier than my note 10 plus but not an issue it feels great in hand, and I can operate it with one hand without putting it in the mode, I've had it for a moth now I don't have any bad things to say about it, yeah the price is higher but the phone is beautiful and its different, I like different things at times, of your not worried about price I pay $50 a month my note 10 was $46, not bad, I say get it, you will like once its in your hands, maybe after I have it longer I can do another review.

The Phone Is EZ to Work but let me admit, I DID come out of another Samsung ( 9S+ 64G). The Folding Function makes it a bit bulkier (when Folded) but not as much as one would think. When Opened?? Its a dream! But the BIG 'pay off' of having a (Mind blowing) DOUBLE Wide Viewing Screen FAR Exceeds the little extra bulkiness. The Camera? Whew!! CRISP! It'll put a professional photographer out of business...SERIOUSLY!! (FYI? I'm a professional photographer!!) The battery life is GREAT! I use the phone ALL day fr 10 -12 hours without losing the initial charge. The Ugly? Obviously the $2k Price tag and the fact it didn't come with a basic case to protect an investment of this price? In my opinion a 'mis step for Samsung. Let me Add that Best Buy Didnt have Case or Screen protector in stock for a $2k Phone? At the point of purchase I was promised that I have both to my home address in 2 days. They took over a week! That to me? Bad business on BOTH Samsungs AND Best Buy. Bottom Line? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Phone and I was enticed MOSTLY by the double wide screen & the 256GB of storage. (BTW?) No Memory card slot? Thats another Mis-Step. Buy the phone...You'll love it!

This phone is a beast! Major upgrade from last year, the front screen is totally functional on its own. There may be some adjusting due to the narrow display and keyboard, but I don't find this an issue, and this comes from someone with very large hands. Once the phone is unfolded, it feels like a completely different experience. The real-estate is and usability is mind blowing. I personally don't have many complaints about the phone itself. I'm coming from a note 8, one thing I do notice is; using the phone closed, there is a noticeable weight increase and is very blocky when in pocket, but most phones are nowadays. The hinge is very sturdy and the device has an excellent build. Be careful with the inner screen, although it does come with a screen protector supplied by Samsung, it still feels fragile. I am highly satisfied with this purchase. PS: Insurance of some kind is a must!

So far its been great. Seems very sturdy and the screen when folded open is absolutely amazing! A little on the heavy side but definitely don't mind. Battery life has been great. Most apps and webpages display just as they should. Able to do tons of multi tasking!

The phone is amazing! The fold open will change your view on every other phone! Battery last me all day and I use youtube a lot. The speakers and screen are great! The front display now very useful compared to the first fold. Only draw is you go back to 2014 when phones weren't water proof. You also feel like you need a case on it right away.

Does anyone need a 2000 dollar in their life? No, more than likely never, specially in this climate. However when you buy into this phone, you are buying into a future of exciting new technology. Coming from an iPhone pro max after been with samsung before that. I'm very excited to be back with samsung yet again after using this thing. The hardware is just amazing, the folding mechanism is an amazing, is such an enjoyable thing to open it and close it. the screens are amazing, 120hz makes the inside buttery smooth, and while using the outside you might notice the 60hz after a while you get use to it. honestly is very hard for me to think of sometime i dislike other than the short comings which if you can't live without water and dust resistance then you shouldn't even be looking at this device. Now if you are careful and love tech and have 2k to spare or not but are still able to get it. the experience alone is amazing, yes you might have to baby it for a while until cases come out. but knowing you dropping 2k on this either way you should baby it. when it comes down to the experience though, there's nothing like it coming from a regular samsung or iphone. very satisfied, only time will tell how it will hold up but so far as of now is amazing.

I upgrade once a year. I've had an S6 edge, Note 7, S7 plus, Note 8, S9 plus, Pixel 3XL, Note 10 plus and now this. I enjoy samsung a lot. They hace really come a long way with what they offer and the quality of their products. This phone is so ahead of the curve. I do miss a few things: Lack of IPS rating - meaning no water or dust resistance. And how I have yet to find a case for sale - that's not one of the two ugly ones samsung is selling. I would have hoped case makers would have really pushed to have cases available by launch date. But here I wait, which is fine. The phone is a bit heavy, but you get used to it. The large outer screen is my go to. But when I know Im going to invest some time on my phone I'll open it up, that's when the most enjoyment happens.

So far I am so impressed with this phone! Pictures are crystal clear and when you open it up - amazing to see so much more! I normally use my phone for social media for work, lots of pictures and checking out information for whatever I am working on. So far the battery life is consistent for the amount of use I do. I also love the color of the phone and how well it fits in my hand when closed. I did get a cover for it to keep scratches off of it and it does protect the camera on the back of the phone. If you are looking to upgrade, this would be worthy of your time.

    Grandpa's Z Fold2

I love my Z Fold2. I wanted it because I felt that I could use a larger screen with larger text. It does everything I want it to do. Initially, it felt too large for me to hold in one hand and tap with the other. I am a one hand one finger typist. I have had no problem with the folding screen. Sometimes, I have to reposition my left hand while holding the phone so that my thumb isn't touching the touchscreen. If it is touching, when I try to select a button with my right hand, nothing happens because I am already touching the screen with my left hand. The camera works great with usually very clear images. I like the fact that a can say "smile" or "shoot" and have the camera take the picture. That way I don't giggle the camera (phone), so my photo is normally very sharp. Only drawback was the price. So the old saying about "The only difference between men and boys is the price of their TOYS!" is true, especially for this grandfather. Now that the Z Fold3 is out, maybe I will trade up but right now I don't think there is enough difference in the two models.

Millenial review - Im an avid iPhone user but ive been intrigued by this phone since it first launched. I finally bit the hook and got it since it was on sale. Its a little clunky getting used to it and I definitely recommend it for productivity, media consumption, and scalability of the acreen (most apps zoom to fit). I got a heavy case to protect it so it can cause hand fatigue with long use. Batter lasts a long time if you manage the brightness and keep st 60hz. I work 4 12-16hr shidts each week and with moderate use get through the day.

A very pleasant surprise - solid, stable and the unfolding is smooth, if a bit stiff. Heavier than my Galaxy 9, but since it is narrower in the folded state, it actually fits my pocket better. Especially since I got a nice rebate off my G9 tradein, I'm glad to have taken this 'leap'. If I'm trapped - plane, train, boring meeting, the wide screen is delightful. Not a real power hog - I get thru all day with plenty to spare - and I average 10 calls 20+ txts, 5 punted calls and another 20 spammed txts, plus checking Gmail ~5 times/day on it.

Love this phone! So far great battery life. The screen quality is wonderful for gaming and watching shows. A crisp and smooth look to the screen. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the multi feature where I can have multiple apps open at the same time. Not all let me use that feature but some do and I've at least been able to but the messaging as a bubble that stays above what else I'm doing to easily toggle back and forth.

Up until now I've always had the note services, 3 of them, my last one was the 10+. I decided to get the z2 fold mostly for the reviews. It is very expensive but I got a decent trade in price for my note but I also was out of pocket over $500 to buy out my contract. As far as the z2 so far I like it. It is quite heavy but looks great folded or unfolded. Outside screen is great and you can do a lot even folded but unfolded it is a whole new world.
