This is a really great value as a casual use computer. I purchased it just to learn what Chrome OS is all about, never thinking I'd use the machine so much. But it's really great for relaxing at night while web browsing and handling email. Although I have a lightweight ultrabook, I find myself choosing this Chromebook every single night. It's very comfortable, the battery lasts a long time, and this particular Chromebook uses an ARM processor, which means it doesn't need a noisy fan like Intel or AMD based laptops do. You can't use heavy applications on this, although apps are getting better on the Chrome store. There are lots of cloud based services too. It's built pretty well, although the display is not as clear as that of my ultrabook. But come on, what do you want for such a low price? Buy this.

I bought this to install linux but with the ARM processor it is literally impossible. Some people have had success but for some reason after a week of struggling with it, it didn't work out for me.

The Chromebook is excellent for browsing the Internet. It boots instantly and there's no waiting to go online. It's not meant to be a replacement for a laptop but it can do many of the things you normally do on a laptop. And it can do them in a small and lightweight package that you won't have to wait forever on a Windows startup.

My daughter loves this computer! I also took it on a trip and I was able to complete my college homework without any problems. The light weight is great for travel and the overall size is perfect. I am very happy with the price, thanks to "Deal of the Day".

I was very excited to find this chromebook for ~$190 "geek squad certified refurbished" on best buy's website. Apparently whatever they did to verify that it was ready to be resold was not good enough. It could not connect to wireless networks. I took it back to best buy for the geek squad to look at and they couldn't fix it either. I liked the look and feel of it but obviously could not recover for the wireless adapter. It was absolutely a hardware issue since I reformatted and re-installed the OS multiple times. Best Buy was great about returning it in store even though I bought it online. Unfortunately they no longer sold this model in store for me to exchange and I didn't want to take a chance on another dud refurbished model. If it had worked I'm pretty sure I would have loved that laptop. I am now very happy with the acer c720.

    Problem Was Refurb

The device seemed very nice, but the refurb came with the wrong power cord. No replacement cords were available and no units at the same price were available to swap out. BestBuy was very nice about it. I ended up buying one elsewhere with cellular data capability. Unfortunately the HDMI out does not support full mirroring - limited to playing videos - so I couldn't use it for the desired application. Pity, because otherwise I liked it for a light, quickbooting use. Make sure the limitations don't affect you - need internet access to get to apps, chrome browser, some reviews have commented on display cracking problem (I didn't have long enough to comment on this).

Love it! I tried it before giving it to my daughter. It's lightweight, fast and very convenient. I was a little skeptical thinking it might be slow but it's not. Loads pages very quickly. The weight will allow her to carry around in her purse if she wants to. The camera is ok, not great, but not that bad either. Definitely worth the money

its refurbished so I got a great deal on it, but I probably will only keep it because of that fact. Its lite, small and seems to have a pretty good battery life but I have only had it for about a month

Purchased the Chromebook as a refurbished model and couldn't be happier. Always at the ready for email and light web browsing. So far battery life has been great and boots up in seconds.

Bought this laptop because I was in need of a new one, but didn't want a bigger laptop, nor did I want to pay a bigger price for one, as my need for it wouldn't be as great. So this was the perfect purchase for me, both size and price wise! Love the product.

It is primarily used for internet and email. Unusual commands to accomplish simple actions for an experienced windows user. Would be more useful with online tutorials or instructions/tips. Helps to have a friend with some experience. It is light weight and has good battery life. Consequently, it is my "go to" for email and surfing. It is easier to print with an internet capable printer. Once setup, It prints without a delay.

If all you need is something to surf the web, use email, and simple document editing, this is perfect. It's very light, the battery lasts hours, the keyboard is comfortable to use, and the screen is fine. You can watch videos on it but it's limited in the formats it will play back. You can't upgrade it in anyway so keep that in mind. What you get is what you get. Using Google Docs, you can work on your documents offline and it's compatible with Word which is great.

Let's be honest - 99% of what most people do on their computers involves the internet. Watching video, looking at Facebook, checking scores, looking up general information. This device does all of these things and does them well. As a programmer, it even offers some great functionality for coding but it just wasn't enough for me based on the existing software titles I currently use.

Great 'tweener- and looked brand new

I was intrigued by the concept of the Chromebook when I first read about it. I liked the nearly instant on, multiple accounts, and most of all the automated housekeeping. As the tech support dad in my household, I support Mac OS, iOS, Windows XP, Windows 7, Android 2.3 and Android 4.0 already, with all the upgrades, blue screens of death, viruses etc. Having a device that 'just works' (which Apple used to, but has lost its way a bit) was very appealing. However, the limitation that everything had to run in a browser with no native aps seemed pretty limiting. And it is, but you get used to it. The Chromebook can't do everything, and there are still lots of holes in the available 'software' (which are all webpages with special features). But then you start using it and it just works. Email, web surfing, listening to music (ironically with the exception of Google Play Music, which still has bugs), watching movies and videos, and using Google docs all work smoothly together. You do need wifi to do much, but you can watch movies, read books and listen to music you've downloaded to a SD card when you're on a plane, and the 11+" screen and great battery life really make that experience better than a tablet. And yet it fits easily on the tray and the screen can be tilted to the best angle for you to view. So I think it's a great tweener, more than a tablet (keyboard, larger screen) but less bulky, heavy and better battery life than a true laptop. The refurb I received from BB looked brand new and has performed flawlessly. And by taking the price below $200, this becomes a no brainer impulse buy. I only wish we had gotten this before our 2 week cross country trip, but it will come in handy on the next one.

This little guy is great. Key board is a little clunky at times takes getting use to, but it's one of the larger key boards which is what I wanted. No problems with the mouse tracker or clicker so far. I figured why by an expensive laptop that will just be outdated in another year. At this price, I an use for a year or two and then get a new one. I love chrome OS and browser. This even has an ssd card so you can store all sorts of things offline. Love it!

My son loves the samsung cromebook. Light and starts up fast. Great for school which uses Google docs. Need wifi. Not like a laptop. More like a hybrid between a tablet and laptop.
