This was a really good choice of sound bars. I am a fan of Samsung tech products and this does not disappoint at all. It has clear and great sound, the bass is great with this set. Easy to hook up and pair with my TV. I live in an apartment complex so depending on what I am watching got to be careful how loud I turn it up, but it is a great sound bar subwoofer combo.

This soundbar is perfect for me. I listen to music and watch videos on tv so I wanted a soundbar to enhance the sound. An expensive one was not in my budget and the room I wanted to put it in was small 12 X 16 with bamboo floors a huge windows. At first, I wanted an all in one without the separate subwoofer, but after hearing this one in store, I was sold. I'm loving it! It sounds as nice as my daughter's expensive soundbar. She was shocked at how good it sounds. Granted, her place is larger than mine. My only complaint, is that I can't connect to Bluetooth. I'm pretty sure it's me and not the equipment. I use the optical port.

BT Functions kept disconnecting from TV, especially the subwoofer. Would constantly need to power off and on and wait for the woofer to reconnect. Over when it did work the sound was amazing but I wanted more power. Got the HQ-Q6CR.

I am very satisfied with this sound bar. The sound is a huge upgrade from the 10+ year old receiver and speakers we were using. I got this on sale for Black Friday and the price was great. The set up was easy and my Roku remote controls the sound through the tv (using optical cable). There was a little offset between the video and audio, but was fairly easy to adjust.

It was an easy process. The sound bar and sub woofer came without any damage. The system is working great and meets the expectations that we had and works great for the space. I would definitely recommend this system to anyone looking for a quality sound bar set up. I have always been pleased with Samsung products and this is no different.

A big improvement over my TV sound. Got this to go along with a new Samsung TV. The difference is night and day in sound quality for anything you watch or play. It is especially great on first person shooter video games. It is very easy to set up either via blue tooth or the cord provided with the unit. Have had an issue with Bluetooth connection one time or else I'd give it 5 stars. A simple restart of the soundbar corrected it and bluetooth was working fine again.

I guess I really wasn't sure what to expect from a sound bar. We did not try out different sound bars when shopping, so I'm not sure how this compares to others. However I researched what to look for and this one checked many boxes and the price was acceptable.
It was fairly simple to set up and it did improve the overall sound. However it wasn't that noticeable for regular shows. I was really hoping that it would improve voice quality but it didn't. The subwoofer really adds definition when watching movies or watching music videos. It definitely has some bass which can be heard all the way upstairs!
What I really like is that we don't have to use the accompanying remote to change the volume, which may be typical with other sound bars. We do have to use it to adjust the different levels of bass and what not. I also like that we can add surround sound speakers later.
Overall my husband and I are happy with the purchase.

great sound and nice features, but we have had some issues. I'm not sure if it's due to the TV HDMI output, which I suspect, or the HDMI input on the speaker but we occasionally lose our TV sound when using this. Aside from that very occasional issue, this has great sound and clarity.

Great sound bar for the price. The sound is amazing. It is easy to setup. The only issue we had is we could not get the Samsung Sound Speaker to connect Via Bluetooth to our Samsung Bluetooth capable TV - ended up using the optical cable.

I do love this system but they are not loud enough. I bought my first and for the room it’s in, love it so I bought 3 more for Christmas gifts. Opened one of the 3 and it wasn’t as loud as my first and remote first work and my first remote had stopped working. Only my phone or pad controls it. And after just a couple of weeks stops even powering on. I’ve still got two more I’ve not opened. These were bought as in new excellent condition and I purchased the extended service plan but who wants to have to get out in this mess of Covid and take in for check up or even if they can come to house want anyone in house. So probably shouldn’t even give a 3 star but the actual sound quality is excellent. I have a Bose theater system and a 300 sound bar. It’s not quite as good but a good contender except for the volume not being loud enough. For the size of these and the base unit it should have significantly more volume.

Wow! What bass! This bad boy somehow delivers alot of bass and sounds great! It literally shook my small living room when I was watching Underworld, I had to turn the subwoofer down. The only thing that SUCKS is that the subwoofer (bass) goes from -12, -6-6. Ideally I'd like the subwoofer setting to be at -9 since the bass is very powerful.. but you can't do that bc it jumps from -6 to -12.... when it should be -6, -7, -8, -9, etc... Not sure why it makes this huge jump. -12 completely diminishes the base where as -6 is still too much bass.
The other thing that sucks is the design of the sound bar. Not sure what idiot decided to add a cloth/mesh covering to the sound bar as this makes the sound bar easily collect dust and it can get gross if you don't dust it once in a while.
Besides these issues, I still highly recommend this sound bar for for what it's worth. $150 is a great value!!! No sense in getting one of the more expensive sound bars as this thing (in my opinion) provides ample amount of sound and bass. I would highly recommend!

Was fairly easy to set up for a technologically challenged person as myself, though I had to have my child sync the sound to my television because I couldn't figure that out.
It added nice, crisp volume to my Samsung tv, which was lacking for a 65", but that's another review.
I do like the ability to use any one of my system remotes to change the volume however the remote that came with the unit works best.

Sound is great for the price. The only issue that I continually have is connecting to my samsung tv. The soundbar pairs and stays paired, but once a week I have to unplug and replug the soundbar in order to get it to connect. Other than that, it is really good, and connects nicely to wireless rear speakers

Online Metallica lockdown concert announced; I had 48 hours to buy our first soundbar to go with our few month-old Samsung UN65TU7000F. Did a few hours of research, just wanted better sound and most importantly, be able to use one remote; the Samsung TV remote needed to do everything. Bought a compatible, Samsung sound bar was that advertised being able to do exactly that over optical output.
Well, kind of.
Our TV has only two HDMI inputs with only one as HDMI ARC, and both are used. Samsung advertises the T450 as being able to completely control via optical output, Bluetooth, or HDMI – “one remote”. It was in stock at our local Best Buy, so off I went.
Unboxed, plug in the optical cable, pair the subwoofer, and change the TV sound output to optical in the settings. 3 hours until the concert.
Powering on the TV sometimes starts the sound bar, but mostly does not - that is not a huge deal - but again, still need 2 remotes once.
Once powered on, the volume up and down is not very useful. It does work, but to turn the volume up or down 5 “points”, you must hit the volume button up 5 times, slowly and deliberately. Up, release (most of a second pause), up, release (most of a second pause), up.... Like watching a 4-year-old tie their shoes. Holding the volume button displays “optical” on the screen but nothing happens.
Bluetooth is kind of the same deal, very slow deliberate volume changes and only sometimes will the speaker power on with the TV. Maybe it is better with a HDMI Arc connection, but the T450 is optical or Bluetooth only.
I did update the firmware on both the T450 and the TV; no change in behavior. Also spent some time searching the internet for a solution; nothing.
Finally gave up and went back to TV speakers for the wife and day to day viewing; will use the sound bar for special occasions only, I guess.
Again, the sound is great, even for Metallica’s acoustic songs. We do not watch it much anyway, and I understand there are bigger problems in the world, but be warned, the advertised "one remote" feature is mediocre at best. Spend the extra $$$ and get the T550 (or something else).

Antichrome,
Thank you for sharing your user experience with the HW-T450 Samsung Soundbar. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your unit.
In all configurations (Optical, Bluetooth, ARC, and Wi-Fi) when the TV is turned ON, the Soundbar will turn ON. If your soundbar is not turning on, it could be due to another reason. For example, if the Soundbar was used to connect to another device (say a smart phone), then it will remember the last device (smart phone) and wait for a command from that device (the smartphone) and ignore the TV ON command.
You may want to try using a HDMI-ARC connection to the TV. When the TV turns ON, it will send a command to turn on the Soundbar and forces the source on the Soundbar to change to HDMI-ARC. This would make the Soundbar change the source from the prior state it was in.

We like the additional sound the Bar brings to our Samsung 70" Tizen Crystal TV unit. The Sound Bar set up, mounted on the wall and synched with the TV set very easily at first. Then we encountered problems where the TV failed to connect via Blue Tooth with the Sound Bar. We suspect the problem is with the TV and are contacting Samsung to report this problem.

It’s sound system is so enjoy full especially when I’m watching a concert show or when I’m watching horror movies that it gives it extra terrifying feeling. It’s totally good especially it’s price.
