I did a lot of research concerning the tablet and keyboard. I am glad I purchased the keyboard with the tablet. The keyboard is easy to use and the tablet is easy to attach to it. It is not needed but it is an added convenience and protects the tablet. The keyboard cover has several different ways to support the tablet for reading and using the internet or other programs. I am very satisfied with the purchase and recommend to anyone who purchases the tablet.

Keyboard works great

I personally like a keyboard for some of the heavier work on my Samsung S3 tablet. This case looks nice and the keyboard works great. It is a bit pricey and the one ding I give it is that if you grab the tablet with the keyboard open the magnet can let go of the tablet risking the chance of you losing grasp of the tablet itself. Safety clasps on the corners of the case while a little less sleek and classy might save some from an unfortunate accident of the tablet detaching and crashing to the floor, etc.

This case/keyboard combination was an impulse purchase at the time we bought the Tab S3. It was on sale at the time, which made the purchase a no-brainer. Since getting it home and using it now for a few weeks, I must admit it was an excellent decision and worth every penny of it's normal selling price of about $150.
The keys have a great feel to them and they do not make the case aspect of the product too bulky or cumbersome when using the Tab S3 in tablet mode. The keyboard connects to the tablet via built in connectors that attach quickly and easily. When the keyboard is connected to the tablet, a very functional stand and position is established that is great when working on a table, but is sometimes uncomfortable when placed in my lap. However, I have large hands and arms and I suspect that smaller individuals may not experience this limitation.
Net of all this, I like it and highly recommend it.

Wanted protection for the TAB and non touch keys

My first tablet and it seemed like holding a pane of glass. I was seriously concerned about it slipping out of my hands. I considered a cheap generic case but I touch type so I like a real keyboard. Since this is made for the TABS3 it just grabs on magnetically to the TAB and pins on the keyboard mate up with the tablet when you stand it up. By it's self, It adds almost nothing to the overall size, maybe a bit over a 1/4 inch. I did go buy a cheap generic padded case and threaded a cord though it's spine that I can throw over my shoulder so I can carry it all hands free.
I wouldn't trust this to protect the TAB from a drop, but it makes dropping less likely and the keyboard is the big deal. When I lay in bed it holds the tab up and I use the SPen to play on the screen. Hands free no cramps.
Considering all I had just spent on the tablet and stuff I bought that required the tablet it was a bit of a stretch to go for the keyboard but I'm glad I did.

I bought this at the same time I purchased my S3 in order to make my tablet more of a true work tool. It's a nice case, has protected my tablet from the one tumble its had off my night stand, and doesn't add too much weight keeping the entire unit thin. The keyboard keys have a nice tactile response and much nicer than typing on a screen. The holster for the S Pen is a nice touch too. The drawbacks are it does feel weird the first few times you fold the case over when using the tablet in portrait mode but you do get past it. When gaming in Landscape the S Pen in the holster can get in the way but its certainly a first world problem. When watching something while lying down, the screen angle isn't always optimal and it did take me a couple of days to not "fat finger" the typing on a truncated keyboard. Despite these minor things it is a great case and very nice to type on. If you're looking to make your tablet a work tool its certainly the way to go.

case hold the tablet excellently, easy to use and like the idea of the tablet fitting into the slot so you can use the key board. Case protects the tablet and overall very slim. The case is a little pricey but I believe in the end worth the money. Recommend this case.

Pro: As a hybrid cover and keyboard all in one, it is okay. It protects the Tab S3 really well, and the keyboard is convenient for quick email responses or other works that need typing a lot. Unlike some other reviews, I personally like the language button to switch between input languages, which I frequently use. In addition, the S Pen holder on the side is quite useful.
Con: The keys are too small and always making a typo. It is also overpriced at 130. Although I got that with 50% off, still doesn't feel like it completely worth. Sometime I have to detach the device if I don't need the keyboard, since it is a bit bothering if you use it as a plain tablet.

I'd rate this cover/keyboard a 5 if Samsung would make it in black or charcoal. It's very good, responsive and comfortable to use. My only complaint if I have one so far is it only comes in light gray. I'd much prefer a charcoal or black color.
I still recommend it though.

The Tab S3 is a relatively small tablet so any keyboard designed to be a case is going to be a bit small. I have long fingers and small hands, so the size isn't a challenge for me. However, since Android supports mice, I really wish the keyboard had a trackpad. I use a Bluetooth mouse with it and it's fine, but it would be one less thing to carry around. They could have made the keyboard with a wrap-around flap where the trackpad could have gone and this would have been much better. But as a small keyboard, it's handy but definitely overpriced. Don't buy this unless it's on sale or you're really determined to have a keyboard case. Do note that it is not a protective case. If you drop it, it's going to pop out and get damaged.

Great stand. easy connect and disconnect via the built-in connection points on the Galaxy tab S3. Holds in place by magnets., and cannot be used with any other case. so if you plan to use it without the keyboard you may want to purchase a separate case.

I bought this keyboard case when I purchased my S3 -- I really hate "swipe" typing and needed a tactile keyboard. But this overpriced case is not what I wanted.
The positives are that it is protective, well put-together, holds the tablet well with decent magnets and gives me a place to holster the S-pen (which, really, should have been designed into the tablet itself). The chiclet-type keys have a decent tactile feel. It makes for a nice tripod stand to prop up the tablet on my nightstand.
The negatives: although most of the time it snaps into place with the connectors on the bottom of the tablet, it sometimes takes a couple of tries to make the connection. When it is connected it isn't super sturdy and makes for a poor laptop substitute. Unless it's sitting on a solid table or desk it's extremely hard to use normal typing on, and I end up using the hunt and peck method -- which isn't much better than swipe typing. When an app forces the tablet into portrait mode I turn the tablet at an angle so I can read the information on the screen while still typing on the keyboard. I guess this is more an Andriod issue -- it shouldn't allow apps to dictate, only suggest, the orientation of the screen.
This biggest negative of all: this thing is overpriced -- even at it's current sale price (I bought it for the original $130).

So glad my wife joined with the salesman in talking me in to this case/keyboard. I find that my touch typing speed is about the same as it has been on a regular notebook keyboard. A really nice design, so the tablet can be used with the smart pen for simple tasks, with the keyboard always there ready for more text-intensive jobs. Just slip the edge of the tablet into the docking groove (no need to jiggle or monkey around to make it work, either), Cant imagine not loving this setup!

I am very satisfied with the keyboard. It fits well with the table and provides protection (somewhat). The keys feel tactile enough to do moderate entry. I can't say it will handle heavy (and tablet shouldn't be expected t).

Let me start by saying that I use this tablet primarily for reading and occassional browsing or other minor tasks. As such, the keyboard is secondary to my use. However, when I actually want or need to use a keyboard for input, this case serves my needs well.
The case uses magnets to attach the back of the Tab Pro 3. Initially I felt uneasy about the tablet just "sticking" to the case without any other attachment. Over a short amount of time with use, I'm comfortable with this approach.
I sometimes use a small phone stand when sitting at a table to read material in portrait mode. Surprisingly, the thickness of tablet with the keyboard folded behind actually fits within the phone stand.
The case does not allow the tablet's camera to be used - at all. If this is important, it may not be the case for you.
Samsung provides a separate holder for the pen that attaches directly to the underside of the keyboard portion of the case - which is the front cover. No problems with this yet - but I'm pretty careful with packing and storing the tablet for travel. Time will tell when there's more miles of use.
Overall, this may not be the perfect tablet for some, but for my use, it's quite good.

I had the note pro 12 inch with the samsung keyboard and it was awesome until I wanted to take it with me, it was hard to get the keyboard apart from the tablet but this one is perfect. Samsung did a great job with this duo, the keyboard is so easy for moving around and traveling, nice feedback on the keys, never have to charge this keyboad like you do most, instant connection, what's not to love?
This is a MUST HAVE with the tab S3!!!

At the time of my Tab S3 purchase this was the only case available. At first I did not purchase because of reviews indicating it is not much protection. I bought it on sale because of such great price for a keyboard. Also, I found a generic padded & zippered case I feel secure using that holds my tablet & the case/keyboard. As far as I know at the time of this review there is no Samsung Tab S3 dedicated truly protective case for the Tab S3, but I have stopped looking as I am happy with my Tab S3, magnetic keyboard, and generic, zippered, padded, carry case/envelope

I am glad, I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, it replaced my other tablet. The S3 is compact and is very easy to operate with keyboard and case.
