This is a great way to hook your Note3 up to your TV to watch videos, photos etc. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because when you plug in the charger, the connection on your TV and phone will keep breaking you will get an error saying "to charge faster use the charger that came with this device". I have two of these so it wasn't an defective item - it is just something that is an issue with the item itself. With a Note3, this is impossible as the original plug in is the big one, not the small one that needs to be used for this converter. I end up just not plugging it in to the power source when using it, as it just won't keep the connection. This is inconvenient, but as long as your phone is fully charged, you will have enough life to watch videos or pictures for a couple of hours.

pretty cool feature this offers for use of watching movies from your phone wish it would charge your phone while in use only draw back.

This cord does what it is supposed to do- allow you to view what's on your Samsung device on your TV. The downside to this product is that it is NOT compatible with the newest Samsung products, (such as the Samsung Galaxy S6). Apparently there is an updated version coming to Best Buy stores soon, but they were unable to tell me when. So unfortunately I am not able to use this product as often as I would like, because all but 1 Samsung product in our house is a new product incompatible with this cord. The Galaxy S5 works with this cord. For those who used to comcast to watch Showbox on their TV, this cord is a must-have.

hooked this up to our tablet to enjoy movies on our tv in the living room, works great! really recommend for family nights

I recently moved and had to wait for these cable company to install cable and internet. I plugged my phone in and watched Hulu. Even though the quality of the picture drops a little it's nothing to complain about. My only issue is I cannot charge the phone while it's hooked up

I can't believe I was able to watch my telephone movies through my television great concept from Samsung who stays at the forefront of innovation to bring my 5. 3 inch Samsung Note3 to my 60 inches big screen Samsung TV amazing ! Apple can't do that .... technology is the future

Love this easy to use adapter. Use it to broadcast movies from my Tab4 to my tv. Great picture quality.

I took this on a trip and was able to connect my Samsung Tab S 8.4 inch tablet to the flat screen TV in the room with this cable and watch a movie from Amazon Prime with the Wi-Fi in the hotel using my own HDMI cable. You do have to plug a power USB charger cable into the HDMI Adapter but that was easy; I just used the charger cable from my Tab S tablet.

perfect for my needs. connects easily to the tv and phone. does not take a long time to setup. works very well with a samsung mouse so you do not have to keep walking to the television. tv auto switches to the device. exactly what i was looking for.

I have used this for a video presentation and watching videos. It is easy to use and works great.

It works as expected, however, even with a 2.1 amp micro usb plugged in, it still drains battery on phone. would be nice if it could slightly charge or keep the charge steady.

So, I shopped around for a device to mirror my Galaxy S5 to my tv. I finally decided on the Samsung over the no name devices assuming it might have a better chance of working properly and because my local Best Buy had an open box that brought the price to a more reasonable level. The first couple times I used it worked as it should, tv shows what is on the phone and it charges (or at least attempts to, it still drains the battery just slower than not having it plugged in.) After the first few times it no longer will work with it plugged in to charge. I get a warning on my phone that it would work better if it had the original charger plugged in(the Galaxy S5 has a micro usb3 plug and the adapter just has the micro usb. The phone does charge with just the micro usb just not when attached to the adapter ) Also, it requires a specific procedure of plugging in the correct cords in the correct order otherwise it will not work. I have to figure it out everytime, I think it is adapter into phone then hdmi into adapter. Also, the phone gets incredibly hot during use. I sandwich it between a couple of freezer packs. Luckily, I have spare batteries so I can switch them out as needed. I can usually get through or almost through two movies before a change is needed. It really seems like a product that was built by somebody's 12 year old nephew instead of a giant multinational corporation. So, it works, mostly. I would recommend this to a friend only because there are very few choices available.

I can watch t v on my Samsung tablet and the picture quality is perfect Easy to use

This is a handy item. If you are going to a friends house or anywhere and have a great movie on your phone to watch you need this item. Show your movie from your Samsung note 4 with this adapter and share with everyone! Easy to use and very portable. Show any photos, movies, or anything else on your phone. It's like having a mini mobile media center when you have this adapter and an HDMI cord handy!
