Got this for my Hubitat system for use in a dark hallway. Work very well. Added benefit of having a temperature sensor built in. Do wish that it had a way to adjust sensitivity as the pets set it off.

It detects motion. I use it through Samsung Smartthings. The only problem with it is that once it detects no motion, it will turn the lights off even if it detects motion during the internal period. But that's my only complaint.

Easy to set up and works well with SmartHome automation to use as a DIY security system. I have mine set up to get alerts when there is motion in the basement during night hours.

Used this for first automation on basement lights. Easy pairing to hub. Small, unobtrusive size ,unit is barely noticeable. Detection seems reliable for 10 to 15 feet.

I love this little sensor! it does a great job of sensing motion and as a bonus it had a thermometer built in as well. It may not have as many sensors built in as the Aeotec Multisensor does, but it's also a fraction of the size and works great on battery power! The mounting is super easy as it's a strong magnet similar to how Arlo cameras mount. It was an added bonus that it smoothly translated into my Alexa ecosystem. Small downside is while the SmartThings hub shows instant motion updates, the Alexa app takes a moment to send that information over.

Ideal to monitor movement - with proper placement, it will alert you of any movement in front of the sensor when activated. Easy to set up

I bought this to use as a temperature and motion sensor for my front door. However, based on my own research, it doesn't seem like it can be used outdoors - my own fault for not realizing before I purchased. That said, it's not clear at all on the Best Buy website that this is the case.
Besides that, it doesn't seem like it supports what should seem like an obvious scenario through the SmartThings app. I wanted to trigger my front porch light to turn on when it detected motion and remain on while motion was detected. Then, turn off once no motion was detected after say 5 minutes or so. After doing research, seems like this can be accomplished through 3rd party apps, but who wants to do that?
As a temperature sensor it works fine. I wanted to measure the temperature outdoors so I stuck it to the underside of my metal prep table on my covered patio. The sensor is magnetic, so it stuck without any adhesive. I know it's not supposed to go outside, but otherwise, the device is useless to me, so I'm taking a chance on my table protecting it.

With this, I was able to automate the master bathroom lights in my home. Installation and mobile app setup was easy. With the Samsung Smartthings hub, I was able to easily automate the lights to turn on when there is motion and turn off 2 minutes after the motion stops. This has helped to a great extent in eliminating the bathroom lights being left on. I am happy with the purchase and highly recommend this product and other supporting devices for smart home automation.

I use the temperature sensor on this to automatically turn on the air conditioner when the room starts to approach getting too warm and turn it off if it starts to get too cold. Also turns it off if I leave the apartment so I don't waste too much energy if I'm in a rush and forget to turn it off!

I have several of these in my house to turn on lights when someone enterers a room, hallway or stairwell. They are very sensitive and don't burn through batteries quickly. My favorite ones are located in a couple of closets. The closet light turns on before I can finish opening the door. Small and versatile with the magnetic ball mount. You can literally stick them anywhere.

Have three motion sensors so far and they work perfectly for what we need them for... So nice to just walk into a room and lights turn on for you. I like that you can set it on a schedule so that motion detected during daylight hours won't turn on it if you have big dogs at home while you're away they won't turn on for their motion unless you want them to.

Reason I give a 4 stars vs 5 is due to miss information on the package. Smarthings have certain products that require their hub in order to set and link etc. All of those items I have seen it says directly on the box that a hub is required. This one does not. So to my surprise when i was trying to set it up. It give me the message that a hub is required to install/set up the motion sensor

Bought this motion detector to automatically turn on lights in master bathroom and works flawlessly so far. Regardless of lighting conditions, motion is accurately detected. I plan to buy more for other parts of the house.

Had to upgrade my old system as it was no longer supported. None of my old motion sensors worked with Smart Things so I had to get new ones. I got these and they work great. Setup was a breeze! Since I have cats, they would set off these if they were used for security trigger. I have Arlo cameras for that function.
