what's there to say. fast sleek and does what it needs to do. I got this on a great deal promo price plus open box so alot of the features I'll never use but for someone who would like to do video editing this is a great laptop for that. I like that it has a Intel processor but with a radeon graphics card. only downside are the speakers there definitely on the softer side but that's fixed with a bluetooth speaker.

I got this computer to replace my Lenovo Y50 bought like 3 yrs ago. This laptop is light and size efficient, the weight about 2/3 of my previous one and it has 15" screen while having smaller size comparing to my previous 13" laptop. This one is also lighter and almost same size as the Inspiron 13" version. The built-in pencil is amazing and feels much better than the stylus pen. The battery is average, given the fact that the laptop is very light, it's natural to have a short battery life, but I believe the 8th i7 makes it better since it's more power efficient. By the way, the 8th i7 also makes this laptop superfast, it takes about 5 second to boost up, and maybe 1 second to recognize your face and log in to your account The graphics card is just slightly better than the intel integrated one. I play hearthstone sometime (the touch screen is perfect) and you could see that the Radeon card is making the board looks fresh and colorful. But it is not a high performance card, so don't expect it could run best quality DOTA2 or Overwatch. The sound card is not the best, actually the first time I got my laptop, I noticed that everytime I left the computer on for more than 3 to 4 hours, the speakers would give me some squeezing noise, and this could only be cured by disable and re-enable the speaker. Then I toke the laptop to Bestbuy and got another one. The new one works perfect and that sound issue has not been observed.

Great Computer for an Engineering Student

OVERALL: Likely an 8.5/10 Battery: 6.5/10 Power: 6/10 Capability: 8/10 Touch / Stylus Capability: 9/10 Design: 9/10 Price for what you get: 10/10 I have had this computer for over a year now as an engineering undergraduate student. I would say that using this, its stylus, and OneNote (Windows 10 version - not 2016 version) has allowed me to be consistently not only be more organized with my assignments and notes (having them all in one place in OneNote) but also allows me to take way better notes. The handwriting is fairly similar to writing on paper - a feature for which one usually looks when looking at 2 in 1 laptops or touch oriented devices. The note taking ability is great. One can easily flip the computer and take notes, then flip back and type other things or look up information online. I tend to color coordinate my notes with easy switches of the pen color. Green for formulae, blue for side notes, black for math. A great bonus over handwriting with pencil. There is also a graph paper feature in OneNote which is great for diagrams and graphs. I would recommend a cheap tv for a second monitor and a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to allow for more full capabilities when it is flipped to stylus mode. This is a great setup at my desk at home. HDMI to TV, wireless mouse and keyboard. Full computer capabilities while still being able to handwrite notes or homework on the laptop. The computing power is pretty strong. It can run SolidWorks 2017 and SolidWorks Simulation pretty well. I have done some finite element analysis and 3D CAD design on it. It runs best with nothing else RAM intensive open. Would not recommend for highly complicated assemblies. But, there are library computers on campus for this reason. I have also ran MATLAB on here with zero problems. The battery is ok. It lasts me through the day at full charge, but not much longer depending on the day. I would say 9/10 school days (taking over a max load of credit hours), I can get back home with 10-20% at least. But, a lot of universities have outlets at the desks anyway. The look, feel, quality, and design of the external hardware have all upheld greatly and makes the computer look very sleek and nice. It is about average for weight for its capabilities.

Quite Possibly the Best Overall Notebook

The title says it all. This thing has everything you could want. Plus it's only 3.79lbs! Build is Samsung-excellent, and the screen--oh my the screen! I compared it directly to the HP Spectre x360 with 4K screen and the Lenovo Yoga 720 with 4K screen, and I'll glady give up a few pixels for the color and brightness of this Samsung beauty. If you can get a discount, jump on it. Even if you can't, it will NOT disappoint. I'm extremely picky with my computers, used to be a pc tech, and this thing might very well be the best notebook you can buy, all things considered. Honestly, price wasn't much of a consideration for me this time around, and I still went with this thing. The only other one I seriously considered was the surface book 2, but the screen wobbled too much and it's noticeably heavier. Plus I love having the S-Pen stored right inside the laptop itself.

I've had this laptop for 3 weeks now and I'm giving it 5 stars for a number of good reasons. Pros: -The 2-1 on this laptop is superb. I owned a Surface Pro 4 and used the pen every day for note taking and I love the Samsung's version of that 10 fold. The stylus it comes with is slightly small but its convenient to have a place holder for when yours done. -The screen very well to the stylus and feels very natural to writing and drawing, even better than my previous Surface Pro. I love taking notes in OneNote with this thing! -This laptop is fast, I had a lot of issues with the speed on the Surface pro's i5 processor but this i7 is TONS faster. Turns on in seconds, installs things fast, and has yet to blue screen on me or give me any issues when multitasking (surface did a number of times) -The keyboard feels nice, I like how it lights up too. -I like the port selection, especially the HDMI output. -I use this mostly inside, so I haven't had any issues with the screen brightness. The "Out door" mode does make it alot brighter -I think my ULTIME enjoyment with this laptop is the battery life. I can get 8-10 hours EASY with just surfing the web, using OneNote, Word, etc. The battery on my surface SUCKED, had to carry my chagrer every where, so its so nice not having to anymore. - This this is light (in weight) for the power it has. I haven't games with it but I've watched reviews were people said the Radeon card can handle some light gaming. I'll try someday I'm sure. - It doesn't come with a ton of unnecessary programs on it that needs to be uninstalled. Cons: -Speakers truly are my only con, and they are not that great, but luckaly I use headphones half the time anyhow I would recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking for fast reliable machine that doesn't do heavy gaming or NEED theater sound out of the speakers.

This is one of the most amazing Notebooks I purchased in the last 5 years. One year later exactly, still working as the first day. Amazing color, amazing weight, amazing design. I am a monster writer and the keyboard is just something, no noise and very responsive. Also, most of time the Notebook is used by my daughter and you know what I mean (yes, games) and even though runs super fast and the screen quality is super HD. I am not a touch screen lover and I don´t use it too much but it's a nice feature. It helps me in pressure moments. For real. Well, in one word this is an amazing value and it is why I trust Samsung (Phones, TVs and everything at home is a Samsung), they are serious about their mobile technology. At the end, I am writing this review because I am buying a new model and sure it is gonna be a Samsung. Cheers

I have owned the Samsung notebook 9 Pro for a little over two years now this laptop is well built. It offers a Windows Hello camera, and a stylus that uses welcomes technology to write on the screen. Am very happy with the purchase that I made when comparing it to a similar MacBook. The main reason why a purchases laptop was because of the touchscreen and stylus as well as the amount of RAM and a dedicated GPU. Now saying this laptop may be dated, and there may be other options in the present day that may be a better value. I'm writing this review because I just recently had a battery failure on the laptop now I'm not exactly too sure if two years for a laptop's battery is a norm. Other laptops that I've owned the battery has well over lasted more than two years. If Best Buy offers an extended warranty past two years it may be a benefit towards purchasing it. Was able to purchase the battery and it's fairly easy to install it as well as upgrade the computer's storage it seems as though during the time of me writing this review that M.2 nano's SSD storage is decently priced where you can get a terabyte of storage under $200. Reasons that I would recommend buying this laptop > well-constructed materials aluminum housing > touchscreen stylus to write on the screen dedicated GPU/hybrid RAM reasons you may want to look at other computers before considering this purchase this laptop is becoming outdated for 2019. > battery life is under 10 hours in conclusion, if you can get this laptop at a sale price I don't see you not being unhappy with it. I would consider buying an extended warranty if the option is there and offers more than two years of an extended warranty.

Was looking for a new laptop to replace one that's 7+ years old, and preferred to go with Samsung again, for various reasons. Pros: Very light. Has a Pen/stylus built in that you can use for various touchscreen stuff. Has a higher RAM, which I like. Touchscreen/tablet capability. Reasonably uncomplicated to set up. Cons: Price is a bit high for something that only has a 256Gb drive and total features. Actual screen design (seems to be mostly edge-to-edge, except for the bottom part of the bezel) makes it super easy to get smeary fingerprints, etc. on the screen. Webcam: Design on top of screen makes it VERY DIFFICULT to put a cover on it, because there's a 1) cam indicator light, 2) Cam, 3) face recognition sensor, 4) face recog. LED all under a tablet-grade smooth surface - it's a super-wide alignment of indicators/cameras that's difficult to cover externally. I'd say don't buy this model without being able to physically touch it and see how it looks/feels (I bought the last one they had at the particular store after they removed the floor model and wouldn't let me look at it, blah blah) to ensure it fits your needs 100%. The Cons I find with this model are why it loses a star for me - the Pros are why it gets to keep 4 stars.

So far everything is great! It had everything I was looking for in a laptop and was for a good price. I use it mostly for school. The touch screen is super convenient. In tablet mode a 15" is slightly bulky but still comfortable enough to use. I have yet to test how well the graphics card works for light gaming so I can't comment on that. Only thing that isn't ideal is the speakers being on the bottom, but turning the volume all the way up usually makes the sound ok.

It's very light and fast. But I am slow to learn Windows 10 and the new Office Suite of programs. I don't use the pen nearly as much as I should. I still have problems printing things consistently. Best Buy used to "sell" you Geek Squad support up front to set it up, remove bloatware, and transfer data from your old computer. I have kept my old one in use because it prints consistently and I know how it's set up. I know, I need to bite the bullet and set up a session with the Geeks and buy their new service plan stuff. I take the blame for some of this, but for me, the plug and play days are gone as far as I can tell. I bought this online and never talked to a live person in the store. Perhaps that is the difference in my experience. I do love the 2-1 functionality of this product. The screen is awesome. I hate having a separate dics drive--but I knew that going in. I gather the SSD storage helps the speed quite a bit. I also like the face recognition security feature.

I'm a mom. Bought this for my daughter's b-day (26.) replacing her 9yo MacbookPro. Given her wants and needs re: replacement, I looked and read and read and looked at many reviews from many sources. I opted to purchase via Best Buy bc of the terrific customer service. And, there you go. A home run. My daughter loooves her new laptop. She reports being able to do so many cool things for presentations needed for school. (She is in a Master's program). Happy Mom

This 2-in-1 is very fast, very quiet, and was easy to set up. I mostly use this for streaming videos, movies, and music. I also use it for work which requires very large files. They open really quickly. I love how fast this starts up, as well. It takes only seconds. I use it in tablet mode quite a bit, and that's a nice feature I never knew I'd appreciate. I have always had a desktop pc at home, but I am really happy I made this switch. Probably more than I really need, but I love it.

I can't say enough about this laptop! I love the form factor. It's light and the 15 inch screen is a perfect middle ground between the 13 and 15.6. The performance is great and it's super fast. My only constructive criticism is the speakers don't really seem very loud

So far this Samsung Notebook 9 Pro has been great, but I've only had it a month so time will tell the full tale. It is everything I was looking for and then some - fast, decent sized SSD, lots of RAM, touch screen, back-lighted keyboard, etc. It stays cool, unlike a past laptop. I love the facial recognition sign-in, and that is a feature I wasn't even looking for. I do occasionally create unintentional commands when my right hand brushes the touchpad, but so far that has not been a big issue. Overall, I highly recommend this laptop.

Bought this as an open box store display, but still paid almost full price and was disapointed it did not include the pen, but I can use the one that came with my tablet. I had my eye on this model for a while and even though it was not a brand new computer it was re-stored to factory settings by best buy before I bought it. It works great so far and way faster than my last laptop which was 6 years old. I finally gave that to my sister since it still works, but the main reason I got this is because it's a touch screen and can be used in tablet mode which comes in handy for my doodles. I also upgraded to a 512 ssd to double the memory and it's probably even faster then before. So far I haven't been disapointed with any Samsung product.

Excellent all around laptop. Slick look: gray exterior and black interior. Performed excellent. Feels very sturdy, pleasure to work on. But, it started overheating on me within first 2 hours of light to medium usage. Temp was getting so hot I could not place it on an open skin longer than 3 seconds. Even the keyboard started to get hot. Returned to the store and exchanged for the same one. It should arrive tomorrow. I hope it is just a example of one and not the entire model that's affected. Other than that it's one of the best laptops to have, especially $350 off due to in store sale paired with a student discount!

I was looking for a device that would allow me to easily and successfully edit photos (I am an amateur photographer and I take thousands of photos) that was larger and more powerful than my old Surface Pro but smaller and more lightweight than my even older Toshiba laptop. So far, this is exactly what I need. I don't use it for gaming or video streaming but it is powerful enough for what I need it to do (I'm also using it to type this review haha!). This was my first time purchasing a Samsung product and I'm looking forward to learning about all of the features that this device offers. I'm confident that this will be a worthy investment.

Would have preferred a smaller screen to keep weight down, and make transport easier, but I thought that Windows 10 needed the extra RAM that only this model has - so I bought this one. Also would have liked a bigger SSD, but that wasn't available either. Samsung keyboards are the best! Having trouble with the facial recognition log on, but I guess that's par for the course. Overall, a good choice for someone on the road.
