Is this the best mirrorless camera in the $400-$500 range? No, but here are a few things that make the NX Mini a good value: + It comes with a FULL version of Adobe Lightroom 5! This alone is a $149 value! + It's thin enough to slide in the FRONT pocket of a 'relaxed fit' pair of jeans (It's a little snug but works) + Image quality is very good (But only in good light) + Excellent battery life + The touchscreen is responsive and genuinely useful, e.g. touch focus + It has a built in flash AND it includes a separate external flash + The 180 degree screen is excellent for street photography and selfies + The 9-27mm kit lens has good image stabilization for stills and video + WiFi features are well implemented in the Samsung iOS app Does this take better pictures than the Sony A5000? Definitely not. But this the only mirrorless camera with a flip up screen that can be reasonably carried in a pants pocket and as the saying goes, 'The best camera is the one that you have with you.' Here's what I don't like: - Very limited selection of available lenses (3 total) - Low light performance suffers with both the 9-27mm and 9mm lenses - Uses the tiny MicroSD card format - The 9-27mm kit lens needs an additional twist in order to use it - The 9-27mm kit lens makes the camera front heavy; It tilts forward when placed on a table - The wrist strap on the white model gets dirty pretty quickly - The external flash prevents the screen from flipping 180 degrees; It doesn't tilt up for bouncing the light; It doesn't provide a significant advantage over the built in flash - No mode dial; Touchscreen requires multiple taps to switch modes Additional notes: If deciding between the 9-27mm version and the slimmer 9mm version of this camera, do yoursef a favor and get the the bigger 9-27mm model because: 1) The 9mm lens does NOT have image stabilization, 2) You already have 9mm available at the wide end, 3) You can still put the 9-27mm in your pocket (although your mileage may vary) If you are in the market for a pocketable camera with a flip up screen, the NX Mini is your best choice IF AND ONLY IF you value the ability to change lenses. Keep in mind that there is only 1 lens that would perform well in low light which is the Samsung 17mm f1.8. If you don't care about swapping lenses, the Sony RX100 mk3 and Canon G7 X are both excellent low light cameras with flip up screens, but they are nearly double the price. All in all, I think this camera represents a great value for people looking to step up from a point and shoot camera. The addition of Adobe Lightroom 5.0 adds significant value and in terms of portability and fun, there's no other camera like it.

If you are looking for a camera with amazing photo quality that is easy to carry around anywhere- this is the camera. Super compact camera that takes excellent photos. A lot of great features that are easy to use. One of the better parts is also how easy it is to transfer photos from camera to phone or computer. Would highly recommend to anyone who does not want a big bulky expensive camera that takes similar quality photos in a more durable compact form.

This camera comes with an external flash although the website doesn't mention this - which was a very pleasant surprise. The camera is very easy to use, fast start up on power. I love the selfie feature. Makes it much easier to take pictures.

Very handy and good picture quality. A lot better than carrying a huge DSLR.

I bought it as a used model device and it turned out great. picture quality is amazing and better than my S5 phone. it's a touchscreen so easy to manipulate where you want to focus. It's also interchangable lense too.

I am amazed how Samsung was able to pack so many features in such a small camera. It's like a super-mini DSLR. The picture quality is excellent. The kit lens was a 9-27mm had great range but it's far from being flush to the Mini which makes it hard to keep it in your pocket. I had to return the NX Mini because I was fumbling too much with the controls. The camera was too small for my hands. I will miss it.

Love my camera so far. Its really easy to use. I wish the lens wasnt so heavy but its still great.

We purchased this camera before a family trip because it was compact, light weight, and the picture quality was acceptable. The focus lens broke half way through the trip, and we ended up having to take pictures with our cell phones. The point of this purchase was to avoid having to use our phones. However, our phones were our only choice, so we returned the camera once got back home.

It takes great quality pictures and is the perfect size.

The camera is easy to use and is a good size to travel with. Found the camera useful when going to kids sporting events and theme parks. Overall really easy for us to use.

For the price this camera works pretty good. I would recommend using the flash that comes with it in dim lighting, built in flash is not enough.

Camera is excellent with interchanable lens. Samsung created a lens adapter for the bigger NX series camera lenses but limited availability currently, and price is high. Very useful for taking selfies as the screen flips up. There are so many different settings that with time (if you have time to figure them out) could take great instead of good pictures. Almost all the same features as a DSLR in a compact form.

Got a great deal on an open box model with no accessories. Bought a battery online, put it in and it works! The camera may be small but it packs a lot of features. Samsung keeps bringing out innovative products!!

I'm a big fan of samsung cameras and have been looking for a great mirrors camera without having to carry around a DSLR. Once you get use to the settings, you can get some really great looking pictures.

Funny how I was look for a new camera and then I stumble upon this one. I'm not one to get an Open Box item but I'm a long time fan of Samsung and their tech so I thought I would give this camera a try. Much to my amazement it was great. The use of Wifi is so convienent whenever I want to post a photo up and to send it from my camera to my phone. I love it. I was even able to find a perfect camera case for it!

I have not figured it all out yet, but Andrew (Andy?), the salesperson told me he would help me with any questions, so I plan to come in and take him up on his offer.

I purchased this camera before a family trip. It broke 3 days into the trip. The rotating zoom on the lens broke and we were not able to take pictures anymore. We ended up having to use our camera phones. Aparently this is a common issue with this camera, but I would have thought that it would last more than 3 days. I returned it as soon as we got back home.

Small camera, great selfie screen. Great quality picture.

As a photo camera is the best. Only thing, flash is not available when video recording.
