    Only works if you have thunderbolt 3. Get hot during usage. Samsung support is solid which is good to know incase drive fails.

    This is one fast drive if you have a Thunderbolt 3 port. I use this to move photos and video between my Macbook Pro and iMac Pro. Very expensive so if you don't need the speed, then get a USB 3 model for much less.

    Had to return this it ran slow and sluggish on my iMac. Read oh ppls review before purchasing this and watch YouTube videos it was a disappointing purchase. I Switched my purchase to thunderbolt Envoy Pro Ex which runs the way it should on my iMac.

      Your 2TB X5 was engineered to deliver read/write speeds of up to 2,800/2,300 MB/s on a device that supports Thunderbolt 3, but the speed may vary depending on the user‘s system environment and the types of data being transferred. If you use cables other than the one included in the product package, the X5 may not achieve the target performance.
