LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Samsung POWERbot R7040! I've been watching "Elvis" now for a few days and I am completely amazed at how much dirt it's picking up...EVERY DAY! With three school age children my house is always a mess, socks here, paper there, and backpacks everywhere but I never thought my house was dirty. Well I was wrong! I still don't understand where all of it came from. Every day I have emptied out the POWERbot! And I've noticed a big difference in the texture of my tile floors. I can see all of our socks are cleaner at the end of the day and I don't have to wipe my feet before I get into bed at night. I am dumbfounded by all the dirt I couldn't see. But "Elvis" sees it and I feel like I actually have extra time in the evening because I don't have to sweep the floors at the end of the day. I love sending it in to even sweep up after dinner... no more crumbs (meaning half of dinner) under the table! The Samsung POWERbot 7040 even picked up a whole cheeto that one of the kids had dropped! I easily downloaded the app and now have an extra remote on my phone. I love being out running errands and knowing that "Elvis" is handling the floors. I've used it at normal speed and turbo speed. Both cleans are very thorough, the only difference to me is that the POWERbot has to go back to its base to charge halfway through the turbo speed. With the normal speed the battery lives a full hour and easily makes it's way through the entire first floor (about 1500 sf)! I am so happy to have the Samsung POWERbot 7040 and don't understand why this wasn't in my life sooner! #InsidersPOWERbot #TheInsidersUS

We have a golden retriever, and do they shed... we wanted a convenient way to keep our home dog hair free. The Samsung powerRobot did the trick!. Just turn it on and let it do it’s magic. Much much better than previous robots that got stuck all over the house

It is working pretty good as it is supposed to do. It works very well on floor and tiles but not on carpet. It does a good job on the path it passes. It is not as intelligent as it says, especially if you have a lot of furniture in the house.

I have a Rottweiler who let’s just say sheds all the time. And I was tired of sweeping every other day and even more tired of hair everywhere. So my hubby bought this for mother’s day. Now day 1-3 was a struggle. I think it was learning my house lay out because day 4 it went seemlessly. Family room, living room and kitchen. It makes my job easy and I only have to deep clean on sundays. I love it. Has issues with corners and sometimes gets stuck Wr sometimes but the good out ways the bad.

This is my first robot vacuum and it has been very easy to use. I have both carpet and hardwood floors, and it picks up everything in its path. My newborn loves to watch it going back and forth. The only reason I have 4 out of 5 stars, is that the boundary markers were not included. It's an option and must be ordered through Samsung. In my case, the boundary markers are needed to keep the robot from run into low hanging objects, such as a TV stand. The robot detects everything else.

I love my new Samsung PowerBot R7040. I wish I looked into these vacuums a long time ago because the cleaning power definitely surpasses my upright shark I push around 3 times a day. My 3 kids literally get the floors so dirty and this sucked it all up in no time at all. It's the best feeling to walk out a dirty room with this on and when you walk back in its magically clean. I save some much time with this powerbot. The Samsung PowerBot really surspised me with how well it cleans. It doesn't hold a lot but it packs a big suction. It has tons of cool features and a remote control. I love that it can be connected to my Samsung Connect App on my phone and all my Samsung devices are in one place. It also works with Amazon Alexa which I'll have to look into. I'd love to start my vacuum talking to it :) This model has 20x more suction power and creates it's own cleaning path. It avoids things and goes right around them which is great when you have kids although I do try to pick things up before I start her up. It cleans all the way to the edge and is surrounded with sensors and a camera for optimal cleaning. There really isn't anything I don't like about this cyclone force vacuum. The charging dock sits on the floor and it was easy to set up and get running. I love how it vacuums in straight lines and the canister pops out with the push of a button to be emptied. It's easy to clean wiping it down and the brush pops out for cleaning too. This powerbot also has features that include setting a time schedule for cleaning, spot cleaning, repeat cleaning and manual cleaning and there's even a quiet mode option. There is so much with this vacuum it's hard to name them all but I'm definitely so happy with it. It surpassed my expectations and I would definitely recommend this vacuum. Were still looking for a name for her too.

This is more than a novelty item. It is a time saver for daily cleaning. The scheduled timing function is nice because you are not required to do anything to it and it does the work. Dog hair is not a problem and I am impressed by how well this little vacuum works. Maintaining it is simple too. Be ready to cut long hair out of the roller (just like any other vacuum). It is a fun and useful addition to our home. I hope it lasts a long time. I will update this listing as time goes on.

With 4 kids, 3 cats, a dog, and an African Grey Parrot, it goes without saying that I'm pretty darn busy cleaning, especially since none of the above mentioned are in the habit of cleaning up after themselves on their own! When I was given the opportunity to try the samsung power robot vacuum for my review, I thought why not. I had seen it advertised and had always wanted to try it. This vacuum bot is worth every penny. I still need to mop my floors as anyone else would, but for the sweeping and maintenance in between, the bot takes care of it all. It is able to sense the walls and furnature and change direction, as well as remember where it has already been, avoiding any unnecessary overlapping while cleaning. Its works on the hard flooring and carpeting in the house. It has saved so much time that was taken from ordinary vacuuming and sweeping, and allowed me to have more time with my family. And as an added bonus, it entertains the kids every time it passes by. They are enthralled with how it just moves around on its own. If you are able to have the opportunity to own this bot, it will only enhance your life and give you more freedom, but live up to all expectations you may have. Best of all, its ideal for picking up pet hair! It literally picks up every little trace of it from evey hard to get corner of the house and it's quite capable of picking up a TON at a time! I'd highly recommend this ingenious vaccuum to anyone, it's a major time saver and easy to use without the app even! I love setting it to clean when we are away during the day, nothing beats coming home from a long day to a nice and clean house waiting for you without even lifting a finger! Worth every penny!

Bought this after geek squad refunded my 4 year old roomba... It was cheaper than the roomba, and hopefully will be more durable. We've had 2 roomba vacuum cleaners... The Samsung works very well and doesn't bump in to things like the old roombas, but the wisk broom on the roomba cleaned the baseboards better. It's a great vacuum, but my wife is still partial to the roomba... The Samsung was $100 cheaper and is very quiet.

The R7040 is perfect for my main floor which is all hardwood. Has no problems detecting stairs and best of all goes in straight lines and slows down near obstacles including me when I happen to be standing in its way. After a party i just say "Alexa, start vacuuming"! I replaced the other popular iR....brand as it tended to bump hard into chairs & table legs and kept us guessing whether it completed vacuuming the entire floor with its random paths.

At first,I was a little skeptical because I know people said these robot vacuums are junk. They often weak and get stuck a lot. After using for a couple weeks, I am very impressed of how well this vacuum works. It was able to go around corners on its own and clean any place that they can fit. It went into the bathroom and was able to make its way back out on its own. Make sure to read the manual thoroughly or else it can be confusing to connect to wifi and Alexa. I had to try a couple times before it connects and work well. I was shocked that the vacuum was able to go through the entire house and automatically make its way back to the base charger. It automatically connect and recharges. I was able to setup schedule and control the vacuum with the Samsung Connect App or tell Alexa to start it. Remote control works fine but i didn't use it much. I mainly use the app because i think it works better. The vacuum is great for cleaning dust and pick up small things around the house. This unit is not meant to replace a real vacuum. Overall, i am very impressed with the vacuum.

This device works very very well. I left an old Irobot Discovery (I know its old). This new samsung Powerbot works very very well. I like how the front of robot has a normal brissel size like a regular vacuum. Unlike many of the competitors. It picks up dirt, pet hair, cat food, etc. However, this model doesnt have the same brissel and pet hair shredding teeth as the Powerbot 7070 and 7090. So, pet hair does get wrapped around the combo brissel (Only in the 7040). Its rather easy to remove. For the money Im thrilled I have a unit that makes my life so easy! I love my powerbot. And, am a happy customer. :)

Great vacuum lots of power and edge cleaner. It’s smart as it gets all the areas that are needed throughout the week. Per day it will miss spots but I run it every day. Big difference between this one and it’s more expensive counterpart. 60 minutes vs 90 minutes on a single charge. Misleading information from Samsung as this one does not “map” your house like the other one.

The battery runs out before it can clean my entire house. I have a 2500 square foot home that is entirely tile. The machine cannot clean the whole house on one charge.

I purchased this vacuum after doing some online reviews and getting hands on looks inside of the store. I like that the robo vac is D shaped and goes flat against the wall and into corners. It also features an edge cleaning function that works its way into crevices against the wall to better clean. My dogs shed like crazy and this has been a lifesaver for keeping the hardwood clean.

I did read a lot of reviews from many different brands of robot vacs before making the plunge to purchase this one. I am still learning about it as our house has been under construction so I don't feel like I have used it to its full potential. However, when I have used it, it has done a great job! It is amazing how much cat hair it picks up each time it runs! Our furniture is a dark blue color and it doesn't get too close to it and we have to lift the bed skirt up so it will go under the bed, it is dark brown. I am able to control the vac from my phone with the Samsung Connect app, which is different than the Samsung Home app which so many other websites reference. Something I thought this vac did was allow you to make a floor plan and pick and choose the rooms you want it to clean. It does not do this. It has smart mapping and it is supposed to remember where it stopped cleaning and go there on the start of the next cleaning. I am not sure it does this, since I run it when we are not home. Also, you can have the option of scheduling it once or daily. However, you are not able to choose to run like Monday, Wednesday, Friday. You could set it daily and then stop it on Tuesday and Thursday to achieve this but that's a lot to remember when you have two kids to look after! Also, it is the fastest way to get a clean house when I say I am running the robo vac, all the toys gets picked up. I love this! Overall, I think it does a great job for the price that I paid for it.

This PowerBot is working well. I like that it is quieter than the 9020 I had previously, but the dirt capacity is small and thus it has to be emptied more frequently. Also extra filters are difficult to find and not available through Best Buy. I found some on the internet and had to pay $27.00 each.

With 4 dogs, it's satisfying to see how much it picks up on every run. I do have to empty it everyday. That said, every third or fourth day it gets hung up on the edge of a carpet or chair leg, wedges under a low piece of furniture or gets lost on its way back to the charger. I wish that it's beeping signals were louder and that it would beep when it gets stuck so it would be easier to find.

The cleaning capability is great. Sometimes we have to drive it around objects. We do have lots of chairs for it to navigate though. All in all it's a nice vacuum.
