I purchased this sensor for the open and close functionality, but pleasantly surprised by the temperature and acceleration functions. These features make the price more palatable. Fairly easy setup and install with the Smartthings Hub.

I have this Samsung multipurpose sensor connected to my Wink Hub 2 and it works great. I use it for my main door so my Schlage smart lock will only lock if the door is closed. I will also install some on my windows.

Excellent smart hub option with tons of products on the market to use, particularly when paired with Z-Wave light switches. Most importantly, the functionality and routines run on the hub itself, so if the internet goes out or something happens to the server, the hub keeps chugging.
Also integrates perfectly with Google Home.

Purchasing the door sensor was fast and easy, they had it in stock. Installation was a breeze too, works great with Philips hue light bulbs, turns red if the door opens while armed. Need three more and I will buy soon

If you are in need of a Zigbee tilt, temperature, and/or open close sensor, this is your best option for the SmartThings ecosystem. The Samsung SmartThings Multipurpose sensor has gotten smaller since the first version, so it is less of an eyesore when used as an open/close sensor for doors and windows.
However, there are less expensive Z-wave open/close sensors that are hidden inside of the door and frame, and the pre-packaged Garage door open/close device include a pre-paired Z-wave tilt sensor. Since this is a battery powered device, it relies on the stability of the mesh network created by AC-powered devices that function as repeaters. Therefore, if your IoT network mostly includes Z-wave devices then you should stick to Z-wave sensors.

These link up and work with the SmartThings hub seamlessly. They are small, install easily, and also record temperature where you install them. Must have if you are going to a smart home!

Installed these as extras with my smarthings hub, I added one out at my mailbox also so that I can tell when the mail man has come and get an alert also on my phone! As an added bonus since it has a built in thermostat, I can easily check to see how hot/cold it is outside.

I am just starting to get into SmartThings and not really understanding exactly what is suppose to happen, and it is working as expected. It tells me when someone walks by the device but I need to open the app to see this. Once I learn more about SmartThings, I will update this review. Thanks!
