    Not wireless

Not wireless. The rear speakers need to be connected to one another with speaker wire. The left speaker need to be plugged into an outlet. I saw wireless and thought it would be exactly that wireless. This thing has wires on every piece of equipment. For the price it’s not worth it. The sound bar alone is good enough. What I had in mind was everything was going to be Bluetooth. I say all that to say I’m still going to keep them. The sound is good and it was easy to install.

These speakers work great with my hws 60b soundbar. I used upgraded speaker wire and adjusted the settings in the app to get the best sound. I’m happy with my purchase and I would recommend them. Some have left bad reviews but I believe they were not set up correctly. Take your time and do a little research you will be glad you did.

I just recently got into the soundbar with subwoofer technology. I have the Samsung HW-B650. I wish it had been easier to determine which soundbars these speakers were compatible with. These speakers were on Black Friday sale and I had rewards certificates. I spent little on them, so I’m not unhappy. Set up was easy. I could only figure out how to maximize the sound by switching sound modes on my soundbar. I’ll look more into that later, I have set them behind my couch on an entry table. I’ll rearrange the table a million times I’m sure, but I don’t hate the look of it. The sound is good and I can tell a difference.

I have been a Samsung customer since 2020. I purchased my first HW-T650ZA soundbar including the SWA-8500S surround speakers. The speakers were small w/ a full range dinky driver. TheSWA-9200S the speaker housing may be larger, but the driver is the same size. A disappointment. This wireless speaker set is to accompany my HW-Q600C soundbar. Instead of placing the driver at the top, and the port in the front for the Dolby Atmos effect both are posing in the front. Even though the speaker grill wraps to the top, there is no extra speaker. I replaced my 8500 speakers with ones that have a woofer and tweeter. Unfortunately, with the new wireless configuration, I can not add those speakers.

      Hello Brent,

By design, the surround speakers are supposed to simulate sounds happening behind the viewer. Therefore, most of the time the surround channels are only used for ambient sounds, which are naturally lower in volume.

However, there are a few settings you can change to adjust the surround effect to your preference:

      1) Make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote.
      2) If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.
      3) Turn off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holding the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.
      4) Increase the volume level of the surround speakers using the CH LEVEL button on the Soundbar remote control. Press the button on the soundbar remote, then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

I hope these tips help to enhance your audio enjoyment. Should you need further assistance with this issue or have any questions. Good Rear Speakers for Small Home Theater Set Up

These are good rear speakers, exactly what I expect from paired 'wireless' speaker to go with my Samsung - HW-B650/ZA 3.1 Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer. Are they loud? Not really. Do they server the purpose of back channel speakers for a small home theater set up? Yes. They set up pretty easy to the sound bar. Obviously they require power so they plug into the wall, but be aware that they also connect to each other with a (very long) cable. The 'wireless' part comes in where they do not need wires to run from the Soundbar to the back speakers, and that's what I was looking for. The back wires are hidden by a couch. While this may sound like a silly thing to point out, there are some people who believe that 'Wireless' means no wires at all.

Great speakers but quiet; small mount holes

This is common amongst these speakers - they run a little quiet. There’s a few different settings you can adjust, mine are maxed out at +6, there’s also standard and gaming and other settings you can mess with on the sound bar, but, they’re just a little quiet in my opinion. Other than that, quality is great, they add a lot to your basic 3.1.2 (then 5.1.2 with these). For me, I have them on stands behind my couch and they add a lot of immersion. One last thing, I had to go to Home Depot to make these work with the stands - the stands were bought off Amazon and aren’t related to this purchase, but the mounting holes in the back are smaller than the standard speakers, idk why Samsung did that.

    Samsung Surround Speakers

I added the surround speaker to the Samsung soundbar and it made a big difference in the surround quality. The sound bar just cant isolate the surround sound enough to make it feel like surround. The small self powered almost wireless surround speakers did the trick. To me they were worth the money spent on them. The only thing that I thought should be better is that the speaker wire included wasnt long enough for me to be able to run down the wall across the room and up the wall back to the other speaker. They give you a very small gage wire 18 gage maybe smaller they should atleast give you 20-25 feet of it. Since its very cheap wire. Luckily i keep a bunch of speaker handy and just replaced it with 16 gage and ran it thru the wall to hide it. Also the spring clips for the speakers are a little on the week side, so be careful not to pull on the speakers too much or they will disconnect. Other than that they do exactly as i needed them to do. Give me much better surround quality to my soundbar.

Waited way too long to add rear speakers to having just the soundbar. They add quite a bit and really complete sound system. Glad I ignored some of the bad reviews. Convinced those who said they are too quiet never turned them up through the soundbar menu. Bought open box and they work perfect. Great value. Would recommend.
