Customers highly value the superior sound quality and ease of use of the SWA-9500S/ZA 2.0.2 Channel Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, with many praising the Dolby Atmos experience and straightforward setup. While some found the speakers larger than anticipated and noted limitations in compatibility with certain sound systems, the overall positive feedback highlights the product's impressive audio performance and convenient wireless design. A few users mentioned the volume could be improved and the power cords are short. The price point is also frequently cited as a positive aspect, especially when purchased on sale.

    Great sound, but limited compatibility

Got these with the HW-Q800B/ZA and a QN85 TV. How the 3 system works together is quite excellent. Most sound bars sure of the tv sound, however with the Samsung Q Symphony, the tv sound remains on to complement the other speakers. These has up-firing speakers. Also, its compatibility is limited to the higher end sound bars. I wouldn’t pay full price on these, but if you can get it on sale, it’s a good value. They are only compatible with the following 2021/2022 sound bars: 2022: HW-S800B, HW-0800B, HW-Q700B 2021: HW-0900A, HW-0800A, HW-0700A

    SWA-9500S ATMOS rear surround speakers

Adding these to Q700A also pickuped from BB. Gotta have ATMOS these days in home theater! The setup is a breeze and make sure you place the right L/R speaker accordingly (Labeled at the back of it). I didn't noticed that and was wonder how the system know which one I put and thought there is actually a positioning sensor to detect it, hey, it's a wireless ATMOS speaker! End up I was just pure luck to place the right L/R at place. As for the ATMOS up firing channel, unfortunately I'm not able to experience too much since I have a high ceiling and already crank rear up volume to highest +6. Anyway I still get the rear surround effect to stunt me sometimes (Black Hawk Down). One of the thing I want to highlight and struggled as most people do on this Samsung rear ATMOS speakers are: the mounting screw for the stand! Product spec sheet didn't mention any, BB and even Samsung didn't have clue what exactly the thread these speakers has, it's a joke! Saw some people just quote what BB (eventually feed by Samsung) that the thread is 6.3mm width, 1.3mm pitch, 18mm length, people tried M4/5/6 and some just simply 3D print one, and the thread is just simply a standard camera mount screws with 1/4-20, I simply use a 1/4 screw from my scrap box and finally done!

Speakers are heavy duty but not too heavy. Very easy to connect to soundbar if compatible. I love them, they change the sound of the room and can sound very loud!

Samsung’s wireless surround speakers are a worthwhile addition to compatible Samsung soundbars, especially if you watch a lot of movies or content that can take advantage of the up-firing speakers. During regular tv watching (news, sitcoms, children’s shows) they won’t make much difference. I have noticed a little extra crowd noise while watching sports and having the rear speakers turned all the way up in the SmartThings app. Movies are where you will notice the most improvement. Watching Dune was much more immersive with these speakers added. It sounds great and was easy to pair with the Samsung Q800B soundbar. I also appreciated only having to worry with the power cords for each individual speaker. No messing with speaker cables running all over the room to connect the pair to a subwoofer or hub of some kind. I got an open box - satisfactory unit and aside from one small mark on the side of one of the speakers they seemed to be in like-new condition. Very happy with this rear speaker kit for what I paid.

Movie Theater Sound From Your Couch!

I bought these speakers to pair with my Samsung Q700A Soundbar. I liked how the soundbar sounded, but definitely felt I wasn't getting the "full" surround sound experience. After buying these, I will never go back to just a soundbar and subwoofer. There are definitely some challenges to note with these. I picked the soundbar based off the recommendation that came with my TV. On that same recommendation sheet, it listed these speakers. I knew everything would sync up and work correctly, but if you have the wrong TV model, they may not work correctly. Also buying either these or the soundbar used may cause you to run into issues with controlling them. So far, the only way to control them is through a separate app (which I have not yet installed) or the remote that came with the soundbar. Many people have said they are too low, but once I turned them up all the way with the soundbar remote, I haven't had any issues. You'll want to make sure the show/movie/etc. you are watching has Dolby audio to really get the full effect. I would also recommend you get a study stand if you don't plan to mount these. While they are not the biggest speakers in the world, they do feel solid. The first pair of stands I bought were not very stable and I worried these would come down any second now. Also make sure you place the right and left speaker correctly. First time I set these up, I had them backwards and thought my sound wasn't as good. Overall, if you already have a compatible TV and soundbar, these are a no-brainer. Especially if you can find an Open Box version with everything included. You will feel like you have your own movie theater with these!

      Hi KBURNS,

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung SWA-9500S Wireless Rear Loud Speakers to accompany your HW-Q700A

Once this kit is connected to a compatible Samsung soundbar, the soundbar remote is then used to control the volume level of the rear kit. Press the Sound Control button on the soundbar remote (looks like a gear), then select REAR LEVEL and use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume within a -6 to +6 range.

Also, make sure that the source (e.g. TV output) is sending surround channels to the Soundbar. If the source is not capable of surround, then set the Surround mode to OFF on the Soundbar by pressing the Surround button on the remote. If the source has surround channels, select the desired Sound Mode from the Soundbar remote.

You might want to try turning off Dynamic Range Control. This is done by pressing and holing the Sound Mode button while the Soundbar is in standby mode. Depending on your soundbar model, you may or may not have DRC.

These are some really good rear speakers, I had the HW-Q900A soundbar for 2 years now, which by the way I caught for a really good deal at the time. I always wanted the rear speakers, but i thought it was a pretty steep price for $300, but i got lucky and walked into my local Bestbuy store, on my bestbuy app, on my phone, the price was the same, but for some reason when the bestbuy guy pull it up on his bestbuy computer, it was showing for $120 on clearance, at a different store, so i jump on it, and order them real fast, Far as the speakers, at first i didnt notice any sound, "i was watching a youtube channel, but than i put on a movie with Dolby Atmos, "NO Time To Die" and i notice a really big difference,

I got these open box excellent for less than 100, so for that price yes, I think these are great. They definitely add sound and make a more immersive experience. But ultimately, I think you need stands for them to make the best use out of them, unless you happen to have conveniently located end tables/bookcases/shelves to the side of you or behind your watching area. I don't think they do as well on the floor. Put one on an end table and the other on the floor test. End table side produced much clearer sound. Also these can only be used WITH a compatible Samsung soundbar (I use HW-Q800C). Not as standalone speakers, even though they are full range. Which I mean, would have added more utility but since they are really only meant to be used in a home theater setup anyway, not really an issue. Just thought I would add in case anyone was wondering.

These Samsung SWA-9500S speakers are the secret sauce to leveling up your audio game! Pair them with the Samsung HW-S800B (HW-S80C/B) 3.2.1ch Soundbar, and they transform it into a full-on surround sound beast. Dolby Atmos kicks in hard—voices zip overhead, and explosions sneak up from behind like a ninja. Setup’s wireless and painless (just plug in power), while the 2.0.2 channels bounce sound off your ceiling for that wow-factor height. They’re not solo performers, and I’d love a bit more volume oomph, but for $300, they turn movie nights into a theater vibe. Wall-mount or stand ‘em—your ears will be living their best life!

Samsung 2.0.2 Wireless Dolby Atmos Surrounds

I picked up a pair of the Samsung SWA-9500S Dolby Atmos Surround Speakers 35 watts per channel two weeks ago. I continue to be disappointed with Samsung because they neglect to implement the woofer/ tweeter configuration. Instead, they use full range speakers. In this case. the full range speakers that are used for the surrounds are acceptable. Since the grills are non-removable, I take a special light that penetrates the speaker grill and exposes the speaker driver for what it is. The Samsung surround speakers that I purchased back in 2020 (SWA-8500S), used a driver that represented a speaker that was installed in a Driver-in speaker, aka Cheap! The objective to a true Surround Sound experience is to have all speakers acoustically matched. I found a Dolby Digital Surround Test file on the internet, and when initiating the program, the SWA-9500S almost match the acoustics of the sound bar. Now let’s talk about the connecting cord length. It is ridiculous to supply only five foot electrical cord. Extra cord is required if you want to use a good set of speaker stands. Luckily, I was able to find 10- and 12-feet replacement cords. This length is acceptable for most A/V setups. I have read reviews where people have commented on the percentage of audio projected from the surround speakers, or the lack there of. I only noticed this while watching analog programing. Basically this would fall under the sub-stations of your local broadcasting channels. If you have OTA (Over the Air) this is most noticeable. To compensate for this loss, I set my Samsung sound bar to Virtual DTS-X. It raises the audio sound in all nine channels (speakers) 7 decibels. I disable this feature when watching true digital material. Because if I do not, the rear channels overpower the sound bar. Since I have my speaker close to the viewing area, this is most noticeable. However, if you have your speakers mounted on the wall overhead, you my find it beneficial to leave the Virtual DTS-X enabled. Now with that said, keep in mind that the surround channel (speakers) only output background sounds. People appear to confuse this with quadraphonic sound. Where the sound comes from the speakers equally. The only time you should hear an actors voice in the surround channels if they are out of view of the camera. For example, In Hocus Pocus, where the camera is set on the main characters, and the witches are flying overhead and yet not visible in the scene. You will hear them cackling in the surrounds. For the first time ever, yes, I would recommend this speaker set to others.

Love the surround sound of these perfect little speakers. The wireless connection was easy as 1,2,3. Plugged in and the speakers connected to the tv effortlessly. I love the effects they provide. Only small things is it would be nice to have additional treble and bass control knobs on speakers themselves; not necessary just nice.
